X11COIN WINS THE ANONYMOUS WALLET RACE, WITH AN ASTERISK
May 25, 2014 JP Buntinx
So it seems like the race for the first anonymous Proof-of-Stake wallet has been won by X11Coin. Even though we have to put an asterisk next to that feat, as the wallet is currently only available for Linux.
The competition has been fierce to get this anonymous wallet sorted, as several coins are all working very hard to get it done first. X11Coin has a small advantage over LibertyCoin, who are also very close to completing their wallet.
The details for the X11Coin anonymous wallet are as follows :
- only linux compiled binary will be available
- you must be tech savvy
- understand the risk of losing XC's if something goes wrong
- this is an early alpha release - contains debug code and trace data
- understand how to use block explorer to track/trace transactions

Hence why they also stress the part about “understand the risk of losing XC’s if something goes wrong”.
It is expected that the new (Linux?) wallet will be released to the public at some point tomorrow, assuming nothing goes wrong with the testing. We will keep you updated as we receive more information.
