Hmm. Let me think about this for roughly two milliseconds. How many coins out there are completely original code?

Anyone?

Ok, I'll spell it out. Bitcoin and NXT. All others are derivative in some manner. I'm in the midst of compiling hundreds of them, and you know what? They're all pretty similar at base. The innovations, such as they are, are minor things to the code, but can have a major impact on the way the coin performs. These coins are out there for many different reasons, from someone trying to change the world all the way down to some body having a bit of fun. In my time, I've seen a few that were outright scams, a few that were really tremendously awesome, and a lot of reinventing the wheel.

The thing is, the market is new. I know, I know, it's "so yesterday" to have scrypt, x11, grostl, keccak, PoS, PoW... But face it: This revolution started in 2009. Bitcoin is king, due to being first and well marketed. There are a lot of contenders. The basic code works, and works well, or there wouldn't be all of this crazy, insane, cool, innovative, and wacky market. Evolutionary changes are just as valid as revolutionary ones, and it takes the lens of history to determine which is which.

As fof loljosh being a hired gun? So what? I have some ideas for a coin myself. I'm not currently looking for a developer, but if I were, he'd be on my short list. If you have a good idea, and don't know how to make it happen, you hire somebody who does. Frankly, if you don't like that concept, you probably should stay away from markets, period.

Still missing the point. Innovation doesn't have to be new algorithms, or crazy deployment schemes. Innovation can be how the coin is used just as well as how its made. I don't care that loljosh is hired, I care that he will move on when the coin flops. No reason to stick around when you have a dozen other coins already in play. Right now this coin is good for nothing. Not even a word from the developers of what the purpose of this coin is. Is it just to store value? We have hundreds of coins for that, we don't need another junk clone to pass around.

All we hear about is the price and the multipool. The only comment in the first post even remotely resembling a plan for this coin is senseless:

Sync is a unique crypto-currency created for premium users and miners that valued Proof-of-Stake and rare coin as a pathway to long-term investment

Premium Users? A long term investment for what? Dumping at the opportune moment?

I guess SYNC is almost dead ....or dying now...
Nah, it's just a newborn. Gotta smack it on the ass a few times to get it breathing properly...

Things should get going after the wallet/stake is resolved.

Agreed. Always with the hiccups Cheesy While you're watching, can you clarify how many blocks, or if not a block count, what basis for stake maturity? (not the time to confirm, the time to be eligible to stake).

thanks.

Gracias! I'll let everybody know what the results are. I'm gonna try it first without deletion, and if that fails, reload the blockchain.

Oh I see Smiley Greetings!

Being from Quebec and noticed how broken the french thread was; I was thinking of re-doing it correctly, not using an online translator. It's barely understandable.

Not doing this for any bounty btw, but to show support to this coin and to this team.

Thank you for acknowledging that there is a problem with wallet/stake. Your continual presence keeps the faith for those with issues that other, lucky ones, just blow off because they have not experienced it.

When I got an error like it was because I closed and reopened wallet to fast. I would say restart your computer.

Usually, and this is not the first coin I've run into this with, you can fix it by completely exiting the program and restarting. After you exit, hit ctrl-alt-del and open the task manager. Make sure ALL instances of the client are not running, force any that are to stop using the "end task" button.

Then restart the wallet and see if it solves it. If it don't, delete everything in the appdata\roaming\sync folder EXCEPT wallet.dat. (best practice is to copy it somewhere safe, and somewhere else safe, too. ) Then let it sync again. Should cure it.

Can someone please give me the short and real story of what is going on with this coin?
I do not have the time to read thru 250 pages here. All I know is I mined and bought this
coin last week for like .9 btc, and now it is at .1 btc.  What is going on? Is it dead and
we should sell/leave, or is it a great buying opportunity?
