MINERS! MAKE SURE TO WITHDRAW YOUR FUNDS FROM http://Sync.SuchPool.pw NOW!

At the end of pow, we allowed 2 weeks for users to withdraw their earnings. So far, most have done it but there is still some remaining coins.

The pool page will go offline on 2014-06-06. It will be reminded on our twitter @Suchpool a few minutes before being pulled off.

Basically, remaining coins will be considered a donation to the pool.

Thank you.

I try to come up with comprehensive steps for noobs

Download latest Windows flavoured wallet from here: https://mega.co.nz/#!E5cjGQBa!C9PV10d7AUBgk1hWoaq3nenRRL24gV8TRk1pk9q15CI

Click Start > Run > %appdata%\sync
Delete everything except wallet.dat (and sync.conf if you already have that saved there)
copy wallet.dat to multiple safe locations as a backup (Wallet.dat holds your coins, you don't want to lose this)
Create a file called Sync.conf (note to windows noobs trying to create a new notepad file, in the explorer window drop down the tool menu, goto Folder Options, goto View Tab, Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" - this is to make sure you don't create a sync.conf.txt file. You want Sync.conf)
Copy and paste below into sync.conf and save (I suggest to change user and pass to something else)

server=1
listen=1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcport=24240
addnode=107.170.124.180
addnode=162.243.214.192
addnode=192.241.240.216
addnode=107.170.159.98
addnode=23.226.225.224

Open up TCP port 24240 on your firewall and/or modem/router if you know how and want to be a node (I'm not going to teach you this one)

download the Bootstrap given by CodyF86 from http://d-h.st/j8F
Exract the contents into %appdata%\sync
rename the file bootstrap.dat to blk001.dat if you have problems, otherwise keep it as it is.

Launch the wallet
unlock your wallet if you want to stake (or not)
wait for it to sync any extra blocks since block 8266
If it gets stuck, close the wallet, wait 2 minutes then relaunch. Repeat few times if needed.

You can skip downloading the bootstrap and sync from scratch if you wish.

If you have problems syncing from scratch getting stuck after block 8200, try introducing sync.conf only after you reach block 8200.

Let me know if this is incorrect.

be careful. DO NOT open port 24240. It is the JSON/RCP port and it is better to keep closed it.

Just open the P2P port 24241 if you need to become a node

if anyone is using that conf above, you are missing nodes; here's the full list:

Code:
addnode=162.243.214.192
addnode=192.241.240.216
addnode=188.226.192.115

the gap is irrelevant. in actual fact, i want to see it wider, buy from the sell side, widen the gap away from all those freeloaders who think they can have Sync at ridiculous rates...

The sync pool earnings are abysmal, at least for x11

I'm not blaming the pool. Coinwars reports approximately the same numbers but the fact remains its impossible to make electricity cost unless you have an nvidia 750ti or a custom fpga people don't know about

Thing is, I can't be mining there so long as this is the case. And since I don't mine scrypt in the summer, I might not be mining regularly at all

I will keep my sync though and try to buy whenever I get some spare BTC.

I don't realistically expect a high price. I'm sure people will be dumping for a long time whenever price jumps a little over 0.3 but at least with such high stake, if price does not fall, I might still make up for my current losses just by holding

Kenta threw the gauntlet down to see if I could get 10 Sync.

i merely picked up that gauntlet

But, you will make it?

I'm at 8.5!

Just now considering to sell my ClamCoin. Who will grow more the next 2 days, Clam or Sync?

Who will grow more, XC or Sync?

What about QORA?

So many good coins these days, but I'll probably end up selling them all to get more Sync.
Only my ShareCoins can't be sold, because they are locked in for 1 month to get double stake.

Pointed all my X11 hash to CoinMine.pw and that site is working very well. All coins get sent automatically to Bittrex and I just have to pick the best moment to sell them.

No probel syncing Sync anymore.  Wink

What are the plans for marketing? We need to spread the word!

Be subtle and just put "Member Synclub" in you signature. People will get curious and explore. Let them find it themselves! (A.I.D.A)

Do you have a very intermittent internet connection or overloaded router?

Whatever syncing problems I still have, happen whenever I get an orphan block when staking. Thats when the blockchain gets out of sync.

At some point I even staked twice, as if I forked the chain. The first stake was stuck at 2 confirmations and the second at one. But none of them were really accepted

I haven't seen this yet in the thread, so here goes.  I finally got my coins into my wallet and worked through the sync problems.  I left it overnight and guess what, it staked.  Excellent, sounds good, right.  The wallet showed 1 confirmation, but seemed to be stuck, so I closed it and re-opened, still stuck and showing 1 confirmation on the stake.  All 2.9 coins were tied up in the stake (stake was 0.01216917 coins).  So, I decided to backup my wallet and re download the chain.  First thing that happened is my balance went to 0 and my stake and coins showed as a conflict and now I am left with nothing.  It took most of the day to get it to properly sync, but over the past 5 hours have been synced and no changes to the wallet and stake.  Please tell me what I am to do now??

Here are the transaction details:

Status: conflicted
Date: 5/27/2014 06:21
Source: Generated
Debit: 0.00 SYNC
Net amount: -2.92353153 SYNC
Transaction ID: d7fd7830a331216014adb3da059f03ac60f211ca8db68095f61b2d055796e18b

Generated coins must mature 60 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours.

Please help a fellow albertan...
