I like Kora.
What about leaving out the K, and make it just: "Ora"? That means: "Pray!" in Latin, and goes nice with "Labora" which means "work!" Ora et labora!
I did not do a extensive search for stockmarket abbreviations, but the benefit of short names is that they can be the abbreviation too... Pentamon
Awesome Pentamon, I like Ora! Sound like 'aura' so it appeals to my inner hippie (and my outer hippie too). Your point about having a short name for speaking & writing is very true. customer, "how much for these?" shop keeper, "they're 12 Ora each" that works

Kora, it seems to me you and the team are doing a fairly good job organizing and managing things for the project. The only problem I see at the moment is that Kora is a clone.
I think the best way to use the resources you have would be to create a new code for this project and bring a real piece of innovation to the market. Beyond all the obvious benefits, that would make Kora at least 10x-20x more valuable regardless of how good a clone project it would be.

Have a look at the Kora development thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=675484.0The 'Kora, a clone of Qora' was just the starting point for a community discussion about what direction WE choose to take with Kora. I think if you check out the dev thread you'll be encouraged.

Kora and Qora sound exactly the same and could be confusing to a lot of people. Not to mention, it somewhat ties us to Qora and if something goes wrong with them, it could reflect on us in a negative way. Ora is simple and sounds cool. I like it!

The only think that "bothers" me is the similarity to Italian word ora for time.
