According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Just received an email to confirm my NXT id. Done.  Smiley
It's great to see the project finally moving to second gear. Distribution phase is really the most exciting for me, can't wait!  Grin
Any idea how long before it starts?

I am native spanish speaker from Spain, and I dont see any problem in ORA name. It is truth what you say but the sound ORA in spanish has other means, like "hour", for example.
Do not like the name ORA, would like ZORA (and ZORRITA for the satoshi) but ORA won.

ZORA & ZORRITA could work, but I think I prefer ORA still. ZORA makes me think of of Zorro.

Truth is names grow on us. IMO Facebook & Google were both terrible name choices, but they work now because the tech behind them was innovative and very useful.

I honestly think 'bitcoin' is pretty bad name too, but it's been around long enough now that's its grown on me. I think all the crypto currencies that use 'coin' in their name are making a big mistake though, like when everyone put 'e' at the front of generic words to make them sound more 'internet'.

ZORA & ZORRITA no pls, in spanish zorrita no sounds good Undecided

what´s your problem Huh every week i become an email to send a PM to give my ID !!!

I have done it!!!!!!!!

Where is my Name on the Stakeholderlist?

Hi,

This mail is a reminder to make sure your NXT numeric ID is valid before distribution. Please read the steps below.

1. Make sure your NXT ID does not come from an exchange website. If it doesn't, skip to step #2.
If it does, please instead download and use the client at http://www.nxt.org
Then send your new NXT ID to BTT user "Mac Red".

Bla Bla Bla sorry but slowly I'm annoyed

You may need to make sure your NXT acct is confirmed, or whatever they call it. You need to send NXT out of the account. Although I thought people were still listed after they got validated, just with a zero next to that confirmation area.

@asboxi
It's OK. But I'd still recommend using the downloadable client, since you probably have to do it sooner or later anyway to use your stake.

@poornamelessme
That's correct, people are listed after being validated (includes BTT ID validation). NXT ID status is not connected to this, that's why the two columns are there to provide info.
Any other case is handled via PM.

Why not something different, like 'centora'?
sounds like centaur, and you have some marketing options with this name
centaur, cents...
'centora', I like that one!! If anyone wants to organise a name poll free free. I think we're still flying well under the radar for the average crypto user, so we can change things still. Later it gets harder, but now we can.
I Like ORA.  And a centora can be 100 ora.
We also get more free names!  kora = 1000,  dora=0.1, mora = 0.001.

On another topic, max supply of 1 trillion sounds good (or simply put, 1 tora Wink )

Beat me to it Smiley , but centora would be 0.01 ora. ORA is good because its symbol is the same as its name, nice and simple, easy to remember.  Its easy to define larger amounts too by adding a scale like megORA, gigORA, petaORA

Sounds like aura too which is a positive.

I am glad we are getting more comfortable with Ora.
Whatever associations we conjure now with the name, in the future it will be more complex and I expect it to be enduringly positive.

Please visit the logo design thread to  submit your two dimensional representation of this positive future.

Alright so I've sent out a mail reminder about verifying NXT addresses.

I'd like for people to get at least 36 hours to see the mail and do any final fixes.
We'd of course like to see a "1" in as many NXT columns as possible.

Stakeholder list

After this period is over we'll consider the list final. So let's say on thursday?
As always, if you have any questions about your entry on the list (or lack of), send me a PM.
