I dont seem to see the bitshares supporters in the development thread.  Sad

I think the convo got started in this thread.

You might go back and look for them here.

I'm thinking maybe it was around the 70s page range, but not quite sure.

In any case, the idea was noted, and I've been looking into bitshares.

kind regards,
nio

Whether it was in this thread or not, it did show up on the dev thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=675484.msg8029565#msg8029565

I may also have linked it off the main forum to the dev forum.  I don't recall.

If anyone has a suggestion of a coin to clone, let's hear what, and why, in the dev forum.  Always looking for suggestions!

kind regards,
nio

To think of where Ora is without even having a wallet yet, that is pretty good.

Price goes up and down.  I only watch price when I am trading.  I'm holding for a very long time.  The coin needs a chance to become established, and continue on with a solid code base and new features.

@Darkhorse & fragORA, can you guys arrange for an ORA faucet fund account? I'll start that off with the 'cleansed' 1.5M ORA from the mystery dumper.

You just want to have a new nxt account openend for faucet alone? Do you also want it to be funded from the bounty fund apart from the 1.5m ?

I'd say start a new account for the future ORA faucet, and later we can top it up from the bounty fund, but we can use this initial 1.5M ORA to start the ball rolling.

Can anyone help develop an ORA faucet? Maybe we could use a modified version of the distribution plugin valarmg made. Could we put a web front end on that? I'm not sure anyone has made a NXT asset faucet yet, but that's what we'll need. The other option would be a manual faucet, but that's  a lot of work.

I'll offer a 1 Million ORA bounty for an automated ORA asset dispensing faucet, preferably open source so other asset issuers could use it too. I don't think we'd be the only NXT asset who'll want faucet type capabilities. The faucet system would need to pevent 'abuse' somehow.

Anyone interested in making this happen? We need this to get going. Bounty for this coming from Kora. 1 mio oras. Please let us know if anyone is interested.

I think they are making this more complicated than it needs to be. The simplest way to go would be -- original stakeholders get another stake -- only if they didn't sell off the majority of their original coins. It could be proportional based on what they are holding or some other way of calculating it.

Also set aside some of the coin for bounties/developers. And that's it. Easy, simple and none of this top-offs, or 2nd round of registering people or any of that stuff.

Totally agree! ORA is running a marathon not a sprint, long way to go! The price is only of interest to day traders, which is cool, but this is obviously a great time to 'whale up'!

ORA market cap is under 50K USD! My advice is take a good look at the dev thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=675484.0 - and then consider that 1% of all the ORA that will ever exist currently costs under $500USD. This is a good time to buy, but there's a LONG way to go, and there are always risks with any investment!

Well I'm not sure what the most optimal options would be. But here's some important notes to consider/know about:

1. If there'll be a second round of distribution (say to x hundreds users) we'll need to make sure it's plausable first, depending on where we collect the entries from.
For example, if people would vote for giving away ORA to 1000 new BTT users next month without getting flooded with puppets I'd say "good luck". This option need to be realistic. Personally I'd prefer other ways to accept totally new stakeholders, like the video idea.
2. Giving some extra ORA to accounts who are keeping their shares is a very GOOD and reasonable idea IMO.
3. The task I was assigned to do is over (pretty much, say next Thursday). Does this mean I'm going anywhere? NO. But it's something people need to consider. This has also been an extremely stressful time for me personally (nothing at my "IRL" workplace has ever been close to match). I can't promise to manage a second big round for at least 3 months for health reasons (serious). Will I still want to help out with a 2d round if needed? Yes very likely. Do we still have access to the same automatic sockpuppet filtering system as before? Of course. But keep in mind it's naturally not as secure as it was the 1st round now that anybody who applied and didn't make it will surely try other ways to get on the list (some of our edge is gone). Anyway, what I'm saying is just, don't rely on me to collect hundreds of more users anytime soon.

guys, please a question: I was trying to sell 1000 top distribution in the next wallet. My balance is 1000 but when I try to sell them, it says " not enough funds". Then I tried to sell 100 Ora but it's the same. This wallet is very unfriendly for me. Does someone know what " not enough funds" mean? I m holding my stake, I d like just to know how the wallet works. Thanks in advance for the reply
