Yes, it's completed. And you got 166666 ORA in your account (at least the one you submitted to us and can be viewed in the stakeholder list).

Yes you are right. It seems i messed up my account numbers:)
Sorry for complaining.

Unless there is already an IRC chat that I don't know about, anyone interested in chatting should hang out at #ora on freenode.

http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=ora

I like the philosophy behind Ora. And even though I'm not currently in it I like to follow it as I think there might be some mutually beneficial arrangements that can be made in the future between Ora and Bitmark. Totally different approaches, but similar values.

So, not many people interested in IRC I take it? Tongue

Out of ~900 you would think there might be at least a few! Cheesy

My attitude is ALL crypto is on the same side, and the enemy is manipulated fiat currencies by banks, & government surveillance. There are plenty of scammers in this community, but plenty of very committed talented people trying to 'create' tools for people to use to empower their freedom also. I'll always try & support a crypto project that's sincere, and not trying to scam people. Even if they fail, they leave behind lessons for other projects to build on. In the end healthy competition and rivalry between projects & coins serves a purpose if it helps to promote innovation & excellence.

I completely share your thoughts about this.

I'm sorry to see when people get to attached to one coin and go around to disrespectfully slander other coin threads. I think they are doing it because of ignorance but some of them are trolls or have hidden agendas to pump and dump the coins because what they are interested at the end is
FIAT gains that they can have and are not real cryptocoin supporters.

Is nice to see that there are more people like you here that understands the bigger picture
and I really want this project to succeed.

Crypto is a bit like football in this regard. Some supporters love to watch 'good' football, and they will always applaud good play from an opposing team. Some fans can appreciate good play from opponents, but they're so passionate about 'their' team that they become biased, and it's harder for them to 'notice' good play from the opposition. Then there are the 'hooligans', who aren't really interested in football, and they just use it as an excuse to pick a fight. This forum has plenty of hooligans, but plenty of genuine crypto fans too.

Having so much money sloshing about makes things far more serious in a way than football, but the great thing about the crypto scene right now is there is so much opportunity for growth that this really is the time of win-win, and co-operating is far more profitable than fighting each other. The real fight is coming, but it wont be against other crypto coins, it'll be against fiat and government regulation.

There will be a lot of give aways in september. I really hope everyone takes part and add ora to their investment.

For everyone? or stakeholders will be "banned" from these giveaways?

For everyone.

Our 'phase 2' giveaways will still be FREE (i.e you wont need to pay for them with funds), but we'll be experimenting with various forms of 'proof-of-action' giveaways. We want to make those actions both useful, and fun, and open to everyone. We've already got some ideas, and we're very open to hearing more suggestions!

What are useful 'actions' people can perform that help ORA? Marketing, promotion, community building, establishing our Logo & brand!

We still have a lot of left over stakes to distribute, and while we don't want to give them away for free in 'phase 2', we don't want to sell them either, and we want the giveaways to genuinely help the ORA cause!

Get your thinking caps on!

These are some ideas so far:
- crypto related short film festival (in development)
- 'Logo bombing' (get the ORA logo broadcast on the TV)
- short story competition

The above ones are a bit left of field, but they might be fun, and they do require some effort (which neutralizes sockpuppet problems), and they are genuinely useful for marketing & promotion.

What are some other 'phase 2' 'proof-of-action' ideas for further stake distribution?

Yes, and thank you involving me in this fun process, Kora!

At this time, there are only 30 votes. That is less than half the submitted individual designs, although, as you can imagine, the popular designs right now are about 15 or so.

I am happy that our designers are participating very well.

In the next day or three, I will have the final vote outcome. Just have to count all the votes.

I have taken snapshot copies of the votes here:

We are also waiting for Pentamon to announce the result. It was not an easy task with so many logo submissions. He said he needed 3 days, so lets give it to him.

Greetings everyone,

i would appreciate if everyone who reads this to head to the logo submission thread and give your opinion on this. We would like to hear more from everyone, a general consensus. We need to get this sorted before we can proceed to our other planned activity. Thank you for your participation.
