Quote from: btcsup on Today at 07:11:27 PM XC facts Now they going too far..... stop quoting fuds from other threads here you idiot Don't call me an idiot ask me nicely and i will gladly stop ok. delete ur stupid posts quoting fud now lol yeah its not smart to quote fud but u dont have to be so mean to a proven supporter and holder. In fact I havent really seen ur name here before. give me a link to the first XC thread and i will show you i was one of the main people debating reducing the number of XC i got called greedy and a bunch of shit for it, i bought my 80k of XC for 10k and still hold 75k of them so i been here a bit not that it matters or anything you don't see my name because i don't sit on my computer all day i have a life and stuff... you will see one of my posts on here and i had been following the thread just not posting as i said doesn't matter because that is just childish shit '' ohh haven't even seen you post here before" what is this? high school? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=600706.msg6871577#msg6871577 i won't post here anymore since i'm not welcome, thanks for being a such a mature community lol. Policymaker was responding to kewyla and sticking up for you I think mate. Chill. its all good. may of read it wrong..sorry everyone for posting FUD was just trying to rally the troops. yeah ofc I was standing up for you, not that u need it, but long hodlers stick together. The only thing I regret is not holding even 10% of your XC. I only needed 1 month more in crypto world, and I would have had the funds/experience to either mine or trade more. Just imagine, I was still in doge when XC got released. Yeah, doge. And since we are measuring our XC p*nises, I think I deserve the award of the day! 155 sat people, I think reverse pizza story confirmed. 155 sat? I just threw up in my mouth a little. Hopefully in 2 years people will have the same reaction when I told them where I bought in I think that is what helped XC to go unnoticed for much of the start time for mining... doge... people were thinking that was going to be the next best thing sense sliced bread....

Wokeup today to my PC unable to start windows. AWESOME.
Ststem restore to the most recent date failed twice, trying the next date back now... I backed up my wallet.dat a few weeks ago but have bought some more XC and staked some since then so I'm hoping system restore gets all my XC back!
Lesson learned back your XC up regularly.
you only need to backup your wallet.dat once. Your wallet.dat does not contain your coins... the blockchain does. When needed your backup will update on the blockchain and you will have your coins If you have a new adress (like one for xchat) than you need to backup again. Good to know, maybe I'm ok then. Although I think I created a new receiving address in my XC wallet for the recent buys I've made on mintpal so I'm guessing I still may be in trouble? If you didn't backed up the wallet.dat with your new adress for receiving from mintpal you could be in trouble. is it possible to extract your wallet.dat from the corrupt windows? it is on directory C:\Users\"your username"\AppData\Roaming\xcurrency Not sure about that but hopefully... I just did a system restore to an older date and it said it was successful but then when I restarted my computer I got the same error that windows wouldnt start. I'll probably have to bring it in for someone to look at. I appreciate the help tho! i think you're fine as long you have an old backup of your wallet. just reinstall xc client when your computer is fixed, copy old wallet.dat to data directory (%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\XCurrency) and start xcurrency. then wait until it's fully synchronized. only thing that could be, if you gave label to the newly created addresses it might be reset to "(no label)" since this is stored in the wallet.dat. Good advice. If you've created <100 new addresses since your last backup of your wallet.dat, it'll automatically be able to recreate any addresses created after the backup. Thanks everyone hopefully I have all my XC once my cpu is running again. I'll be traveling for work this week so wont know for a little while.

I sold out the last of my Mamm today. I may have ruined the market, sorry about that. I've been buying some Keycoin....but the bots keep walking it down and down. XC is still the best, and thats where I have most of my btc.

guys I just took out all my coins from mintpal after the bter scare. I want to get into staking, i have saw in the thread that its best to split up the funds into chunks of 50xc? is this still true or no longer needed?
basically what is the best way to stake for optimal coin minting.
thanks!

Think Dan said 50-500 XC per address for best staking result.

Hi all, yesterday i was a bit nervous to read all that fud, you guys handled it ! It is difficult to resist "technical" fud when u don`t understand the tech yourself. For now i`m a little more confident . Some actions i made withdrew most of my coins to the wallet, here u see how long it took to be transferred: cryptsy 28 hours mintpal only some minutes bittrex 30 seconds poloniex 3 seconds also since the coins arrived and i backuped the wallet a new record in connections appeared! http://s30.postimg.org/xl2vazx69/Bildschirmfoto_2014_08_17_um_10_25_26.png

At Mintpal now, only 10.92% of XC is there. I think it speaks volume for how much faith XC holders have in the platform. Everyone is staking and the # of connections just proves it. Also, my network weight used to be double sometimes 2.5x network weight, but not anymore!

According to https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Satoshi_Client_Node_Discovery there is not geographical criteria. However XC is not BTC, it could differ in this aspect.
