SGMiner-GM, AMDGPU-PRO, Sapphire Nitro+ 470 4GB (Hynix), custom memory timings.

You also might want to mention the chance of him achieving those figures himself is close to zero Tongue

That's true.
then whats the trick behind this lol? to achieve your hashrates.

Might be because you are using linux?

I told you already - custom memory timings. Not copied.
I think it must be 1500 memory strap copied in other higher timings right? is that all the changes you made?

No. It's custom!
I still do not get what does custom mean here. Sry to ask but is it gonna be a secret? Or can anyone do this?

well probably if wanted to share his knowledge he would already do it.
So you got your answer, he did not only copy lower strap times to higher freq, he modified them.
Thank u. Do u mean he used hex editor? What really does modifying mean? How would it affect performance?

Why is that?

This is something I am quite familiar with.  When I was mining ZCash I modded all my 280x's and 380's.  The mods performed as expected as discussed in the https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1676474.0 Hacked Memory Mod thread.

I didn't bother to put them back to stock then started using this miner with those same mods, some of the cards performed in low 600's with 1050/1500 undervolted to 1100-1125, others were in the upper 400's range, most averaged around 570.  I re-modded those under-performing cards and now they perform like the others.  I have no idea why.  Needless to say, I believe that the optimal memory timing for Tahiti and this algorithm have yet to be disclosed.  Ask Wolf0 if he agrees.  Wink

what i must write at bat file

This is my 380 bat file:

Quote
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
set GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o stratum+tcp://monerohash.com:3333 -u YOUR ADDRESS -p x -di 01 -a 0 -tt 80 -cclock 1070 -mclock 1600

I would change the clock and mem to 1050/1500 for 280x.

I have a r9 fury (-800 h/s) and r9 290 (-700 h/s) but the combined speed of both when the miner reports in blue text is only 1383. Is that correct? Also it seems like the default hashcount for the fury is a bit high? My fury is using almost all 4 gb of ram it has. Whats the optimal hashcount setting for a r9 fury?

thanks!

Thanks Claymore for next great miner  Smiley  Getting 1600 HS with 7990+7950, just wanted to ask you guys what setting are you using for gpu mining in msi afterburner or whatever you are using coz I heard somewhere that it's better to use bigger power limit + voltage for monero mining... Is that true? Thanks
