Strange... ALL my Polaris cards freezes or reboots after few hours on 9.7 on nicehash...Modded 470 work less time, 480 litlle bit more. All cards are rock stable on 9.6. What was it?

What's going on with the supernova xmr pool?? It barely shows any earnings and hashrate is dropping like crazy.. why are people fleeing? Where do you guys mine xmr? All xmr pools seem to have issues..
We're just waiting for a block, all good, as stated in the pool thread EDIT: And we just got two blocks

looks like there's a bug of sorts: It starts with getting the job from pool and having this: " cannot convert blob data": then (instead of requesting another job from pool?) miner works on the fucked up input data for several minutes, producing only "Lowdifficultyshare" Share accepted (141 ms)! 01/05/17-23:25:55 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 5 of 6) 01/05/17-23:25:56 - New job received from xmr-eu.dwarfpool.com:8050 Speed: 4269 h/s, Total Shares: 24, Rejected: 0, Mining time: 00:00 cannot convert blob data cannot convert blob data Share accepted (2078 ms)! 01/05/17-23:26:01 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 5 of 6) Share rejected (141 ms)! {"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":-1,"message":"Lowdifficultyshare"}} GPU0 t=72C fan=41%, GPU1 t=69C fan=32%, GPU2 t=60C fan=25%, GPU3 t=65C fan=23%, GPU4 t=64C fan=23%, GPU5 t=66C fan=23% 01/05/17-23:26:04 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 3 of 6) Share rejected (156 ms)! {"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":-1,"message":"Lowdifficultyshare"}} DevFee: 01/05/17-23:26:07 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 1 of 6) 01/05/17-23:26:10 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 5 of 6) Share rejected (219 ms)! {"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":-1,"message":"Lowdifficultyshare"}} 01/05/17-23:26:19 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 2 of 6) 01/05/17-23:26:19 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 5 of 6) Share rejected (375 ms)! {"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":-1,"message":"Lowdifficultyshare"}} Share rejected (375 ms)! {"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":-1,"message":"Lowdifficultyshare"}} 01/05/17-23:26:22 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 5 of 6) Share rejected (219 ms)! {"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":-1,"message":"Lowdifficultyshare"}} DevFee: 01/05/17-23:26:24 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 1 of 6) 01/05/17-23:26:27 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 2 of 6) Share rejected (141 ms)! {"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":-1,"message":"Lowdifficultyshare"}} 01/05/17-23:26:27 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 3 of 6) Share rejected (219 ms)! {"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":-1,"message":"Lowdifficultyshare"}} 01/05/17-23:26:32 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 5 of 6) Share rejected (156 ms)! {"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":-1,"message":"Lowdifficultyshare"}} DevFee: 01/05/17-23:26:33 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 2 of 6) GPU0 t=73C fan=46%, GPU1 t=71C fan=36%, GPU2 t=62C fan=22%, GPU3 t=68C fan=25%, GPU4 t=66C fan=25%, GPU5 t=68C fan=25% 01/05/17-23:26:41 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 0 of 6) Share rejected (157 ms)! {"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":-1,"message":"Lowdifficultyshare"}} 01/05/17-23:26:44 - SHARE FOUND (target 10000) - (GPU 0 of 6) Share rejected (218 ms)! ..... ..... ..... {"id":4,"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":-1,"message":"Unauthenticated"}} Connection lost, retry in 20 sec... I had this same "not authenticated" stuff on another miner app on dwarfpool. I guess it's not only claymore's miner, but also the pool.

Why fee mining speed differ from user speed?
for those who missed it in the OP: - Q: I see too many devfee shares, it looks like devfee is 50%! A: It's not true, please learn some theory about pool mining. Some pools use vardiff - they change share target according miner speed. If miner is slow, pool set lower target share, and vice versa. It allows miner to send shares regularly, both fast and slow miners will send similar number of shares per minute, pool will not be overloaded by shares from fast miners and it will not lose slow miners that cannot find valuable shares often. By the way, when you mine solo the share target is block target (very high) so you will find shares very rarely but they will solve blocks and therefore will have maximal value. Low share target means that miner will find a lot of cheaper shares, high share target means that miner will find fewer shares but they will be more valuable. When share is found, miner displays share target, for example: SHARE FOUND (target 10000) or DevFee: SHARE FOUND (target 1000) Compare current targets for main and devfee connections. From example above, 10 devfee shares at target 1000 cost as one share at target 10000. But devfee mining is very slow and therefore pool uses x10 lower target. So you see a lot of devfee shares but they are much cheaper than main shares.

Hi
I have 4 rigs that work perfectly with Zcash (Claymore miner 9.2 no crashes whatsoever until now)
1) 7 x R7 370 ; windows 10 ; Crimson 15.12 2) 7 x R7 370 ; windows 10 ; Crimson 15.12 3) 2 x Rx480 + 4 R9 380 ; Crimson 16.9.2 4) 6 x Rx480 ; Crimson 16.9.2
Monero is quite profitable at the moment, Rigs 1 and 2 worked perfectly with monero miner 9.6. However recurrent crashes occur with rigs 3 and 4. Sometimes after 15min, sometimes after a few hours. I have no clue of whatever is wrong !
Maybe Crimson 16.9.2 is not what I need for monero miner??
Help.
We are waiting for new miners, but generally pass on 9. 5 and you will have happiness! Rig 3 ans 4 seem stable now. I installed this driver non-whql-win10-64bit-radeon-software-crimson-16.11.4-nov15. Getting around 700H/s for the Rx480 and 530 H/s for the R9 380 (no overclocking). Running fine for more than 6 hours now. I'll watch and see ********** Over 30 hours now ... works nicely... 4th day ... rock stable

Found too that overclock doesn't matter even with 20% downclock = always same mining speed.

"-powlim x" option does not work! - unknown option.
Confirmed, will be fixed in next update. Hi Mr C Thanks for new version, http monitoring is nice. Would it be possible to introduce something like "-li 2" with even smoother Windows desktop? If I compare with your ZEC miner, then there -li 1 works fine, but with XMR miner it is not nearly as good.

From my experience, with no overclocking, for Rx 480 and R9 380, ZEC draws around 10% more power than XMR. for Rx 470 , ZEC draws around 5% more power than XMR. for older card such as R9 280x, ZEC draws almost same power than XMR. So, which is profitable depends on how much costs electricity in your area.
