Yesterday while the network was down, I tried to sent out some NEM. It showed confirmations as "pending". Today when I reopened the wallet the pending transaction was gone. I'm guessing that is the proper operation since the display is pulled from the blockchain and no transaction took place. It appears that only current transactions are shown in the Pending tab.
Should the user be presented with a message that the previous attempted transaction failed?
Should the failed transaction get logged into history, like an email drafts folder?

This issue can be easily fixed, disable the Send NEM function if the network is down.
Also, is there a way to display the current status of the network in the dashboard?

Could you be constructive? I think these choices are representatives and feel free to propose an addition.

I want to ask the very same question as cryptocoin12. There are like 10 logos around - why did you choose those ?

There will be an official vote but it will include ALL logos except the ones that have been removed because of following reason:

- flat out stolen
- no effort what so ever i.e looked like a 3 yr old made them in mspaint
- didn't represent NEM at all.

I also like the logo with the cube but how does it represent NEM other then spelling it? What does the cube have to do with a new economy ?

Has anyone even read the explanation of the logo that everyone seems to hate  or did all of you just go on to bash it ?
I'd very much like to have a logo that means something. That would imho stand out more than something that just looks neat.

I'd like a symbol not just a logo.

When sending NEM, can the account balance of the receive account be displayed?
Or maybe a warning that account you are sending to has a zero balance?
It might help verify that the address you entered is correct.

Should be possible but remember that this isn't NXT. Addresses are a) more recognizable and b) afaik validated.
Of course you could still send to a wrong address but it should be less of a problem imho.

Yes, I am a feminist. And no, I'm not necessarily offended by any of your comments but I'm just saying if you want more women to come to a place like this, you can't treat it like a men's club and joke around about women like you would with your bros in private social situations. I get it, so it's not a big deal, but a lot of women will be turned off by it and that's why more women are not into computers and technology as it is. That's just how it is, but I don't think you can blame them for feeling uncomfortable in a highly male-dominated environment especially with the misogynistic banter that comes along with it.

Anyway, I personally don't care so I don't want to take any type of discussion away from NEM to talk about ridiculous gender issues because it's a waste of everyone's time. I just wanted to try and let you know what we could do as a community to make this place more welcoming to women instead of pushing them away like many other male-dominated online communities. Of course, I also could have no idea what I'm talking about so take my opinions with a grain of salt lol.

You are right about the addresses being validated. I took my account address and incremented a single character, then tried to send NEM.
I got a "Oops! ERROR 307 NIS validation error" message. It worked, it did not allow me to send to an invalid address.

If you'd read what I wrote you'd see that I don't actually care. I was just suggesting that a lot of times when guys joke around about women, especially on a male-dominated forum like this, it turns women away. Whether you think it's stupid or not, a lot of women get offended by what seems to you like harmless or lighthearted comments. So again, I was just saying that if you want to make this community a friendly place for women, just try to think about the things you say before you say them because sometimes what you think is acceptable is not to everyone else. That's all. If anyone is butthurt about anything it seems to be you for some reason which I can't quite figure out.

Same it's amazing how fast a dud address is recognised / rejected. It would be handy if the client could remember the password. Considering how many transactions Joe would make in a day it's fine for now.

further client development > Would it be possible to add a pin for outgoing transactions ? It would not give the full security of a password but would serve a useful purpose.

Did you install the alpha client? Basic functionality of sending and receiving NEMs works on a test net. Can't expect more from an alpha client, I guess.

For an alpha software with limited functions running on a test net, and PoI not yet proven to be reliable, the price of NEM is too high as it is, so some price correction would be normal, perhaps even a significant one. After all, most people have already bought, those who believe in PoS, but the PoW crowd is hard to convince to invest into anything but PoW.

The only real innovation which has yet to prove it's not susceptible to Sybil attack is PoI. Other than that, perhaps a couple minor improvements in interface over NXT, which NXT can easily copy.

I don't meant compare NeM to NXT, but client looked a lot of same. IMO NEM needs to differ itself from other cryptos and hide the tech side underneath and focus and work to make a simple and tempting product and package which could be used as a NEw economy movement not just some playground for nerds.

Iirc was first messaging system that pop up seriously but everybody use whatsapp, kik and Facebook nowdays. You have make something that bring together aspects from so called social-media and otherside focus on economy side aswell.
