Hello.

I have read on http://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2227.msg2707#msg2707
that **NEM requires Java 8**.

I know this (java Cool is available for windows but
what should I use on linux, which java version.

Will it work with openJDK on linux?
Has anybody of you tested the software on linux already.

Thanks.

Thanks.

What is your ubuntu version?!
It seems I will have to reinstall my laptop with
one of the latest distros i don't see my distro mentioned on this page.

It will be big PITA if i have to do this.
I don't like to change things that are running smoothly. Smiley

What does it mean when NxT has a current 24h volume of $65K but NEM apparently has a volume around $45K?

Does that mean NxT's real volume (independent from asset trading) is only $20K?  NxT's volume couldn't be that low. . .  Either there's some wonky math here or the damage from John / Joshua was worse than I thought.

There ain't no Revolution like a NEMolution.  The only solution is Bitcoin's dissolution! NEM!

The NEM Team would like to announce the official logo.

- The NEM Team

PDF here: https://github.com/makoto1337/NEMlogos/raw/master/logos/NEMlogo_v7_explanation.pdf
(does this link work for you guys?)

When was the logo voting? ? ?

That logo is an old Japanese shape/figure.
Why on Earth would NEM community choose that?

Is this some sign of ... something ...

Edit: someone said it is "unique".  Grin    What unique is in a very old figure, which is used in hundreds of thousands places already?

2nd Edit: @Makoto: you are not neutral in this case, what I can understand - according to your name  Wink

What announcement?
From the page 1?  ...nothing...

In that post was clearly "The NEM Team would like to announce the official logo."
"Official".  Not used a word "interim", which patmast3r used later.
Why hiding some important matters to an announcement, when that can be written directly within a logo post.

No logo vote? There used to be that kind of idea, but that got dumped?

+1 I don't like the logo. The idea is good but the actual logo is not.

The white shape looks very aggressive & the boomerangs are a little unnecessary imo .. don't like it too much :/

NXT volume doesnt include volume in NXT within asset exchange. I dont know how come they even put NEMStake from asset exchange up there. I wouldnt be sure if volume stated there is real either.
