so do i have to change the sevre config back to
nem.shortServerName = Nis too??
Hi gadado, yes, change back to Nis. And changed back. Thank you. My advice include a quick HowTo Readme.txt in the Standalone package. Thats not much effort and will spare you from a lot confused people. You can't asume that average joes prefers the online solution. I guess there are many more like me that prefer a Standalone solution.

How can I be sure that my real address that I created is working?
the nis part looks a bit unstable to me so I would like to be sure my address is valid in the net before I enter it in the redeem.

Hi gadado, there is a menu item for verifying the real account data.

Hi gadado, there is a menu item for verifying the real account data. Yes I know and already used it and it said success. But I am not sure if this just checks the data consistency on itself or really checks with the net. I still see a lot nis fatal errors in the command window and it seems stuck at: NIS is synchronizing. At block 12961, est. 3 days behind. according to the local web page But then I am not sure ..is this blockchain the one from the test net or the real net? Is there a real blockchain already? Well I will enter the address I have in the redeem and hope for the best. Guess i can't do anything else. Thanks.

PHASE 2 FOR BTT HAS STARTEDWe'll update OPs here and on forum.nemcoin.com soon but i didn't want to let you guys wait. register address and token here -> chain.nem.ninja/stakes chain.nem.ninja/stakes/registered shows all registered with address AND token + all received NEMStake assets from the NXT AE. Everyone please check if your are there after you've registered or sent your assetRemember to read up on how to create a REAL address https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2488.0 and in other threads on that forum. Hey pat Can you put "NEM Address" instead of just "Address" lol I bet you people will put their nxt address on there I think it is a good idea. Maybe even say, "It should start with and "N" and the second letter should be an......" or something like that. I know it is clearly stated in the instructions, but still....... Edit: I have registered and it was easy! My name is on the list at chain.nem.ninja/stakes/registered with a lot of the rest of you.

much as the fudders are fudding. Just stop feeding the trolls and let the devs work in peace
I think that the core developers are too intelligent to let some of these posters put them off their work and probably just laugh at their stupidity. However I have noted that they do give attention to the more productive postings. yes, Nem obviously has a great dev team Well, Im not just saying this to suck up because I am not that type but in my opinion they have listened to those worth listening to and have made a series of correct decision making from the start of this project till now. I agree. On every issue that has come up the devs have taken time to think about the issues and try to do the best thing.

I noticed: WARNING: Timer TIME SYNCHRONIZATION raised exception: org.nem.core.connect.InactivePeerException: java.net.SocketTimeoutException In 0.4.12-BETA NCC terminal at start (Just after "ready to serve"), Any Idea if it is related ? Never noticed it in previous version. BTW, I think NIS fatal errors are just offline nodes that can't be reached, not important if it looks like: Fatal error encountered while communicating with <Node [....... EDIT: OK it started syncing again

It recoverd for me after I closed everything and started it up again.
I have NIS is synchronized! now
But it takes some time. It stayed for a few minute on 12961 then stepped up to 14k .. and in ca 1 hour it was all synch. (a few minutes ago for me)
Since I have it up now. Can someone send me a few TESTNET-Coins to play around:

thank you.

I'd post this on the forums but it's not sending me an activation email. I'm being accused of being a sockpuppet... which is pretty devastating. https://i.imgur.com/sxHJSeZl.pngIs there any way I can appeal this decision? I'd appreciate it hugely if I could... PM me any responses to keep the thread clean... (Just an aside: that wasn't a very mature way of going about removing someone's stake. Doesn't exactly give off the vibe NEM wants does it?)

NEM has a real issue with over complicating things. How the hell do I open the wallet and what is the wallet address, the one on the front page or the hidden one I have to find inside the client.
So many separate links to info how to redeem, why not keep it simple? This wont do mainstream if its not childsplay.
I guarantee you are going to have 20 pages of people not being able to redeem before you suggest im an idiot.

Hi Hyunsookmom, You can start NEM from here. http://bob.nem.ninja/webstart You will need the latest version of Java. It will take a little while to sink. If you are in Korea, my node is up so it might be fast. Then you can create a "real account data" to get a real NEM account where your coins will be sent. Detailed instructions can be found here. https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2488.0Make sure your account starts with an "N". Save your private it key in multiple places. It is very important to open the account with your coins. Then register your token at https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/Check here to see your name if everything you did was right. https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/registeredWait for the Nemesis (NEM genesis block) In the meantime, please play around with the Beta Test Net and get familiar with the system. or also go to the freakin 1st page man. read from there. cheers bud

Plz conteact the forum administrators about the mail...you should be getting it. About the appeal...in your case it isn't going to get your anywhere. The data speak a very clear language. You can read about how we detected sockpuppets here https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2620.0We didn't take all stakes away from puppet masters so you can register your other stakes (and according to the db you already have)

Just a few hours in and NEM already has more stakeholders than NXT and Qora combined, and..... probably a far less percentage of sock puppets too.

Indeed. It's actually quite exciting. I redeemed my asset last week, and i'm happy to see i'm on the list of folks who are going to be among the first to experience this movement first hand -- the future bodes well i think. Sure, it'll be rocky, as it always is, but perseverance is all that matters.

Short question about about the remark on the beta download page: I use Firefox 32 bit and a 64 bit Java on Ubuntu - everything works fine. Why the restriction? I suppose the address/key generation is not affected by this, the data look fine and the client has verified them correctly...
