Alright lets forget about price for a second folks!  I have successfully produced the first step of the code I have been working on and toying with since HYP was launched: splitting blocks with one click instead of repeating the same process in coin control over and over.

This was done with one click  Shocked

Right now this is hard coded in there to split to X numbers of blocks, I am working on expanding on this current code so that all users will be able to select split block into X blocks.

Ahh that feels good to make progress on this.  Grin

Awesome work presstab! This will certainly be interesting when there are more coins. Does the latter work too, when combining select blocks into x blocks?

Yes this also works as a one step selection of blocks and size em how you want, see the transaction below

I honestly don't care what the price is. I care more of what the coin brings, the work the devs do, the IRC community, etc. HYP has proven itself to be a leader and shall remain so!
This.

Update: congrats presstab. I know how it fells Smiley Of course, I will have several request on how to improve it later, but for the moment savour the victory!

Well trying to get it up and running today in the GUI. Of course with new code, it can always get trickier than I want it to be. Hopefully can do the commit today. Then wrap up some final polishes on a few things and release a new version of the wallet v1.0.7

Ahhhhh......can't wait for this. As much as I love coin control, I do hate having to split blocks numerous times especially when I buy a large chunk and have to do it 20 times in a row. Thanks!!!

Presstab, I heard something about max coins per day being 960k??? Is that correct? So that is how inflation will be controlled? Also how/where can I find this information of how many coins per day? Thanks as always!!

Max stakereward = 1000 HYP / block
1 block every 90 seconds
960 blocks in 86400 seconds or 24 hours.
960 × 1000 = 960.000 HYP max/day

Even today the max amount of HYP is 960k per day, simply by virtue of the 90 sec block time and the max 1000 HYP per stake reward.
90 sec block time means approx 960 blocks per day.
In fact, since the average stake reward is still relatively low, not only the inflation control from this Dec but also the one for the next year will have little impact on the HYP stake rewards if I am not mistaken. Many of my blocks stake with around 300 HYP rewards, so the average amount of new HYP in a day is likely closer to 300k than to 960k (the max for now).
I see no reason to panic-sell today because of inflation control coming, because I think it has no impact for a long time,
unless I am mistaken. I checked the OP (the first post of this thread) and the Wiki, but I did not see the inflation control specified,
so I am going by the info that I have read in this thread.

hey all so as promised heres some ideas (small but still ideas)

1.

create some type of "Gold, Silver Bronze" members list

          1) by using the richlist select an amount of hype . for example those folks holding lets say, 75k or more for longer then a certain number of days gets a bonus...for instance..lets say i owned (i do not actually but for the sake of the statement) 75 k hype...ive had it in my wallet for 90+ days i could get some sort of a bonus...say maybe 1k "bonus HYP" or you could use a percentage like anyone owning over 75k+ HYP on a certain addres for continuous 90 days would receive this bonus...and then a "silver hypster" could maybe be someone who is holding 50-74,999.99 and they could get a bonus as well..and then for bronze anyone who holds 25k-49,999.99k hyp gets a bonus....and then you could always double the bonus if the balances retain the value for a consecutive 180 days...etc... this could be modified in MANY ways (the rewards, the levels, the amounts, etc)
just a thought,it would encourage people to hold the coin long term and encourage even more for people to hold on to there staking coins

       2) im not sure if this exists ....if it does, then disregard this one.  create a website or branch it off a website , and sell merchandise ..you might say...that costs to much..well no, not really. you could just have them made as you sell them... theres tons of sites that do this and also there are local places here that do it. id buy a HYP coffee mug or hat or shirt and i wouldnt mind waiting a few days to have it "process" (this would be the time it would take for you to get it from the manufacturer) or you could always have it made and keep it on hand, either way i think itd be good.. you have a very strong community and im sure (specially with the pictures of the HYP girls) alot of guys on here would buy stuff from you

       3) this branches off of number 2. you could take the profits from the merchandise and put it into contests and development or anything else you wanted to do...or invest it in HYP loan and maybe rather then 4k move it up to 6k or 8k . this would encourage people to contribute to get the loan

      4.  again, this may already exist.  create a video (longer then 3-5 minutes ) explaining HYP and its benefits to the community and what it can offer, id assume presstab would be the guy to do this...but any "sr. member" whose been in hyp for a while (preferably from the beginning). and put it anywhere you can...forums, trollboxes, facebook, twitter ...ANYWHERE!!! itd be good to get the word out there

these are just the finalized ideas , let me know what you think guys i have a few more ideas but i need to refine them a bit but thats what i have so far..any feedback would be great, thanks!!

I'm pretty sure the POS reward is sufficient enough at doing this haha Smiley
But I wouldn't say no to extra HYP  Cool

What we desperately need is a multipool, I would definitely buy a small ASIC or run my GPUs to get some HYP. This allows just another way to get into HYP while also creating volume and liquidity in the exchanges. This can be done through just asking multipools to get HYP as a payout option or the community to make one.  To a lesser extent we could do something like Blackcoins black shield (whatever it's called) where buy walls are put up to help control at least a little bit of the volatility...

that was a little something i forgot...some of the profit from sales of merch rather then the loan increase it could be used to sustain the value of the coins...

also 750% is great, but itd be even more incentive to keep a high number of coins WITHOUT taking any out and cashing it out , just a thought and my 2 cents as a holder haha
