Thanks for posting.  I was guessing S5's aswell.  I'm jealous of their electricity price then if they are making it work with S3's.  Must have a sweet power deal.

I think I'm even more impressed now knowing they are S3's.  And I was already very impressed.  Just did not see it looking at them.

It definitely makes me drool seeing all that gear.

Amazing setup.  You mention S3s, but they look like you are using S5s?

Where were your units located before?  I'm always glad to hear about relocated units instead of all new units, keep that network difficulty down as much as possible.

Do you know how long it will take to ROI?

These are indeed S3s though they do look quite alike.
We previously had the majority of our miners hosted in two mines in Mabian and Meishan, Sichuan. The new facility is designed, managed and owned solely by HaoBTC.
For the miners, since they have been running for a while, they have generated enough profit that we have recouped the initial investment.
We estimate that the construction of the new facility will set us back somewhere btw USD600,000 and 700,000 and we are looking to acquire more miners which will cost something too. If the BTC price stay stable, we expect to recoup the investment within eight month period (Note: This estimate is by no means accurate ).

Got myself AntMiner S5 a month ago. After a month of playing with it and some 3D printing this is what my small rig currently looks like (just ordered the second S5)

You should know that shipping price of each S5 is lower if you order 2 units at once...

Happened to find a old picture when going through some stuff.  A little retro throwback to usb days.

Anker hubs and all blue miners .  Later on it became 40 miners but with assorted colors.

These were fun, I had 8 or 9 in my media cabinet but when I would reach to reset my Android media player I would always burn the hell out of myself. Those little things sure got hot!

I was trying to collect 10 of every color to have and keep (who knows if a colored set would be worth something some day?)  I managed to get 3 whole sets and need 7 more of 2 different colors.  I can't seem to find those colors at all.

I'm willing to bet gold is one of them.  I remember it being treated special.    

I remember so many LED's to indicate things.  We have much better way's to deal with status's now than a row of blinking miners .

I don't think it was, I always had a ton of gold, black, and red.

It's too bad, there is nothing quite like the twinkling of LED's in a dark room thats making you money.  When they were set up to PPS I remember thinking caching caching caching, every time one of them blinked.  It was fun.

Two rigs. Each contains:

- MSI H61-p21 MATX board
- G440 1.6ghz Celeron
- 1gb DDR3
- 4x 5870 on unpowered risers
- Cougar GX-1050 PSU
- USB Flash drive with 11.04 and CGMiner

Assembled in a $20 rack from Target with some leftover aluminum stock, and orbital shaker plates as a top to rest my monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc... on. Each side has a 240v power strip (13amp limit) plugged into a dual outlet 240v 20amp line. The monitor and other items that I need to plug in are attached to a normal power strip and 125v 10 amp line. The 240 line was already run in my garage so I decided to put an outlet on it, use it for the higher efficiency, and the ability to expand. The right rig is down right now, due to some issues. Each rig is / was pulling around 1650ish on a low average with spikes above that. I also will be powering up my main computer with a 6870x2, 6870, and 5870 as soon as I can figure out the issues I am having with the linux boot parameters.

Goals as of now:
1. Get the right rig running again.
2. Figure out the issue with one of the 5870s in my left rig. It refuses to overclock and if I change either of the clocks it freezes the system.
3. Get main desktop running.
4. Split three rigs into four and run one at a source with free power. The split will be (3x (Threex5870s)) and (1x (One 6870x2 + One 6870)) Rigs
5. Optimize power settings and startup scripts.
6. Leave them alone for a long time.

This has been a major undertaking for me and something that has required a lot of constant maintenance. Just getting the two main rigs up has been a major battle. Linux and I don't seem to get along very well and using a relatively slow internet source for updates and files has been a pain in the ass. I'd like to get it all setup to where I won't have to mess with it for a while, monitor it from my phone, and get back to working on my car again.

Amusingly, pictured above was my initial BTC setup. Things have snowballed a bit over the years. I decided to do some comparison photos because I'm moving out of my house at the end of the month after living here for seven plus years. Things as they are right now:

Regardless of where I end up moving the setup will be coming along.

Why do you have the box fan pushing air into the S5's? Do they not cool well enough while be vertical with their stock fan?

If you have cross ventilation with an open window or something then having fans pushing up air will help clear it out.

A box fan can do a surprising amount of helping on getting rid of heat in some spaces.  For a while I had some miners in a area shaped more like an L instead of a straight area.  (Not the ideal layout)

With having that L shape a box fan did wonders on keeping airflow going and heat not getting stuck in the corner.

My StickMiners case, with placeholders for a few - including the hopefully upcoming GekkoScience Compac and potentially Amita.
There's space in front for the various duplicates of / boxes for these little blinkenheaters and an SD card with various mining software, documentation, etc.
Bottom's got a single layer of relatively hard foam, keeping the miners in place by their heatsinks.  Lid's got 3 layers of softer foam, middle layer can be removed in case of expansion requirement, even though I doubt there'll be need for much expansion; a BitFury lightbulb doesn't qualify as a StickMiner
Hole in the NanoFury series on the right is where my iceFURY was, but recently had to give up.  Bummer, c'est la vie.
