it actually works with 6 on 1 D-Link, but you have to plug them in one after another (hotplugging works), got some errors when trying to just boot minepeon with all sticks inserted

How are those heatsinks working for you? - Been considering using the same ones I use for my cpu on my pi.. give a little more cooling surface and better cooling hopefully..

Well I doubt you could cool a CPU with that one Wink
But actually I doubt that the little heatsink does provide that much cooling WITH the fans next to it. If you have no active cooling, any passive cooling is better than none.
The temperature on the left top Stick is more or less equal the temp of the top right one. The ones in the middle to get really hot even with the fans, though. Means I would keep my eyes open for hubs with better space/airflow efficiency.

most what?  Grin  Cool

Thanks!

The two power supplies from the hubs run really hot under full load, so I have directed a 3rd USB fan onto them - temperature down to a breezy 32°C from way over 50°C.

Welcome to my magical nerd condo where I turn BC hydro into bitcoins.
What was once a shoe closet is now a windowless sauna room. That fan manages to keep the cards below 78! 3 x 7950 Gigabyte 7950 wf3 f43 + 1 x 7870. When I was first learning what a hash was, I tried to run 5 GPUs from one mobo with unpowered risers (opps...). The 12V pins serving the mobo got way too hot and committed suicide. This is why you see a crappy 300w PSU spliced into the rig, it's powering the mobo only.

Living room:

My room (It's highly important you already have a girlfriend/wife before bringing a 1100w computer into your bedroom Wink)

Managed to squeeze 7.5 Mh/s out of a Vancouver 2 bedroom condo with no AC.

Mining rigs in your bedroom.... how do you sleep?  lol

I did that throughout 2011 and 2012 with 2-3 rigs in my bedroom. I actually got used to the heat and the noise. In winter I had partially opened windows and the heating was turned off (unless I had Internet connection problems) but in summer it was pretty tough.

So far I have just the one FPGA, but two days ago UPS brought and last night I finished setting up my Beaglebone Black to do the mining so I can shut my electricity-guzzling and noisy desktop computer down when I'm not using it.
