Lol.

I have got an M4 in my bedroom and a police extendible cosh "Friction Baton" in the kitchen draw.

Anyone breaks into my place and I go to work on their legs for a few minutes, normally that is enough to convince them to crawl back where they came from.

No-one touches the rig!

I feel ya .... I sleep with a TT 7.62, lot of equipment here...

Needed a case for one of my miners, so built this: celeron + asus mobo,c70 case, 7970, 3x 5850 and a bfl single.

what kind of temp you got with this layout? Will they get too hot?

At -5'C outside temp:

 GPU 0:  72.0C 3281RPM
 GPU 1:  73.0C 2554RPM
 GPU 2:  72.5C 2027RPM
 GPU 3:  73.5C 1693RPM
 BFL 0:  32.6C

No fans in the side door, but I will have those installed by the summer (or more likely, have this running at a datacenter).

The knife and pistol is to make sure no one messes with it and for protection.

I don't blame you I'm heavily armed and have the perimeter surrounded by cameras. With an email alert the instant the cameras on the back of the house sense motion. Some $10 motion detector alarms (hopefully it will scare them, lol). I also have a pitbull, it will make some noise too (which actually don't make good guard dogs but they don't know that)

But who am I kidding my miners are almost a huge box of fans. What would they know to do with it?

Then temp is nice, I guess you only dig btc?
Coz when I am mining ltc, the "naked" rig stays at 70 with a 20 inch fan blowing.... Undecided

It will not be a "peaceful" day when all US citizens are disarmed. But that's a topic for a different thread.  Wink

You work as a bodyguard, in the army or in the police? It says you are in the UK in your profile, from what I've heard it's almost impossible to have a gun legally there.

Can someone explain to me the use of risers? I've build literally 500 gaming PCs but never come across the need.

Am I right in thinking that you're boosting out a x1 slot to a x16 to connect additional cards?

I have a P6T Deluxe at the moment (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P6T_Deluxe/#gallery), with 2 7950s inbound to replace my shitty GTX 460s [hurrah 20x increase Cheesy]. There is a PCI slot free and a fake x16 at the bottom free, can I use a riser to connect an additional older card?

I have headroom on the PSU - hopefully.

And final question, would the driver allow me to CF the 7950s with an additional incompatible 3rd card sitting there?

Riser enable more cards on a motherboard, as you suggest. But it also gives you much better cooling.

My accountant told me it's when "your number" and opportunity meet.

For some it might be $20, for others $1,000,000. She had a rather pessimistic outlook and assured me everyone has a number...

Nice rig, I am trying to water cool my miner, but 4 VGA water blocks are really pricey, still thinking  Sad

Are you using 2 * 240 rad in the loop?

So I know most of this hardware will never pay for itself at this point (but that's ok) and my electric bill is going to go up until my 7.2Kw solar panels get installed. The video cards will eventually be switched to litecoin, but for now its all running BTC.

Rig is 2xMSI HD7950 Twin Frozer
        3770K i7
        16GB Ram
        Array of 6 Cairnsmore CM1's

Air cooled with a $15 honeywell fan placed into a hole cut with a rotozip.

BFL on order since Feb, so this will have to suffice until July when that shows up. Sucks how high the difficulty has already gone up.

Are you using 2 * 240 rad in the loop?

Yes, the top rad is a thin Blackice GT (all I could fit up there) and the front is an XSPC RX240.  Cards run at about 60c.
