Its a bit embarassing (like my electronics-fu is now totally blown), but seeing as the chip on the left just found a block (and at a ridiculous 1 billion difficulty), its just so much of an unlikely event that I just had to share. BTW that's an EP4CE10E22C8N mining at 12 MHash/sec !!

absolutely gorgeous miner, though. I love it.
Hand crafted, with love, and quite a lot of swearing. Quite a conundrum, by rights it shouldn't work at all, breaks all the design rules for PCB layout (like what PCB, rats nest more like). Then it goes and repays me (or not, since its pool mining) by finding a block against all the odds. OK not solo, even I'm not that stupid, but within the first 500 shares of setting up a new account on BTCguild (it has been mining for about 6 months on other pools/accounts though, so not quite inifinitely improbable, hat tip to Trill). Anyway, thanks for the compliment

This miner has a heart and soul! I'd best not leave its soul-mate out of the limelight. Hiding in the background, on the right, is its little brother, a Xilinx LX9, doing sterling work at 5MHash/sec. And out of the picture is a Raspberry Pi, handling the networking plus a DE0-Nano doing the heavy-lifting at 35MHash/sec. Quite a menagerie. My other DE0-Nano is trying its hand at Litecoin, not quite so successfully at 2kHash/sec though.

My rig: http://imageshack.com/scaled/large/853/fy7e.jpg10 block erupter's running 3.3G/H ATX power supply Raspberry Pi I have three hubs as it was the only configuration I could find that was stable, I suspect the power traces on the hubs were not up to the job. Waiting for my BFL 7G/H, and waiting to see whats next in ASIC before I spend any more $$ Phil

There should be a contest that votes different catagories:
1. Best Setup
2. Most ridiculous setup
3. Craziest mining OP

Actually has android device in it. Not a single break in the casing that has been talked about how easily it cracks. And no hot glue inside, and looking clean. Personally i smell demo unit that is at BFL not in customer's hands.

Received a package from friedcat this morning, and finally undertook some re-organization that the wife was "gently reminding" me to tidy up. Picked up a little $39 shelf from Target and moved about 40gH/s of ASICMiner gear into it. I think she'll be much happier with this setup rather than having it all in plain sight on one of my desks
