4 x R9 290s XFX Black Editition - factory OC to 980
From Where Did you get this rig and it cost...Very nice I built it. It cost about $2200 to set up. 4 x R9 290s XFX Black Editition - factory OC to 980 *snip* Here are the GPU settings, loads of rejects because middlecoin has been sketchy these last couple of days *snip* What's your average daily income at middle coin with this rig? Hard to really say. I coin hop a lot onto new coins, because you never know if they'll catch on some day like DOGE. Since I built it though the payouts have ranged from 0.04-0.1 BTC per day when I spent a full 24 hrs mining on middlecoin when I need a quick infusion of BTC.

Update 2: Have over 20MH now which was my goal from the start, once reached its not enough and now feels like I have 1 card running. I've moved most of the PC's into custom rack and now sitting a on a shelf and left the other 3 Rigs inside the HAF X-B case as pictures below. 35 GPU cards in total, 1 x 290x, 6 x 280x , 27 x 7950 and 1 x 7970 Still have 4 cards in RMA, which will bring it to 39... Since the last post Ive added a few more GPU's,.... Should be around 16MH now and by end of the week will be 20MH once my powered risers arrives from Hong Kong and also have 3 cards in RMA 6 x Sapphire Dual-X 280X 5 card setup 4 Card setup in HAF XB case Here is 2 pics of my 9 card setup over 2 cases, I have in total 18 x 7950, 1 x 5870, 1 x 5830 , 1 x 5970(offline constant crashing) , 2 x 7970(offline using in gaming rig for friend for BF3) Pictures: 4 x Gigabyte 7950 in Haf-XB case (as pictiured) using Antec 1200W PSU limited to 4 cards 5 x Sapphire Vapour-X 7950 in Haf-XB Case (as pictured) using Thermaltake 1500W PSU 5 x Sapphire 7950 4 x Gigabyte 7950

Update: Moved the USB hubs into another case i had. Bought some aluminum sheet metal and cut to size and drilled holes in it to attach it to the motherboard standoffs. ordered some fans off new egg and some connectors. heres the finished product. The power for the fans is being piggy backed off of my primary computer supply. http://i62.tinypic.com/2ekroll.jpg

Well we scrapped the rack mount idea. 19" shelves are too expensive, and cramming 5 GPUs into a 17" wide space doesn't leave a lot of room for airflow between them. This is our new setup. We've got 2 rigs moved over. Another 2 will be moved into the second shelf by the end of the week. We're waiting on GPUs to shipped, and a 200A subpannel to be brought into the room so we can power everything off 220, then we can fill the lower 3 shelves. Total will be 10 rigs. Used some 1"x2" wood to mount the GPUs, including some custom work to mount the 290 cards that don't have a PCIe bracket. Up close of the bracket. Had to shave the wood, as the notch in the board isn't quite 1" wide. It fits very nicely, and doesn't lean or flop anywhere. It's not directly mounted or screwed to the wood anywhere (like the 280x cards are), but it's def not moving anywhere. The GPUs can't be removed without unscrewing the top wood piece, but they can be slid left/right if needed. Shot of our PSUs, and all 10 GPUs on one shelf. There's ~4" of spacing between the GPUs, so there's plenty of breathing room. And finally, not everything can be neat and clean. This is our test rig, where we fine tune what each GPU make/model can do. Of course, we had to make it as messy as possible to post on the internet!

I used to have my gear stashed in a wooden bar in the dining room. After that, it found a home for a while in a changing table (normally used when changing a baby's diaper) in the office/spare bedroom. Now it's in the laundry room, where all of the heat and some of the noise are kept away from people: Some of the boards in the Bitfury rig are missing heatsinks because they arrived a few days before the heatsinks, but they're hashing OK without them. The BFL Jalapeños are controlled by the RPi in the Bitfury rig. The Bitfury and BFL hardware are running off a 550W Seasonic, while the Antminer has a 600W Corsair. Total hashrate is about 450 GH/s; power consumption is about 700W. Since the laundry room doesn't have a network run going to it, I'm using a powerline network adapter (not shown) for access. Up to a point, more Bitfury hardware will just slot in...it's already expanded from 2 cards to 6, and then to 9. For more Antminers or other hardware, though, I'll probably need to figure out something better than just using the shelf that's already in the room. For more power, I'd most likely need to run another circuit. The room was set up for a gas dryer only, so there's no 240V 30A service in place. Adding a 14-30R outlet wouldn't be out of place, and it could feed a subpanel (?) with four independent 120V 15A circuits.

I plan on something very similar. My drawings allow room at the back so the motherboard can mount inward though. Also I'm only using twin PSU's. It's a 5 card 290 setup (running in a previous frame design), but soon to be a 7 card 290 rig.
I assume you're going for USB PCI-e risers? You might need to make it a bit deeper to allow for cable management.
Keep in touch, look forward to seeing your work! Seems building vertically is in the minority here!
The motherboard is also facing inward on mine. I'm using normal flex risers, working good so far. Finished the building today. Still have to get a motherboard for 6 cards, new risers and a new psu though. Temps are pretty good but can be better. I'm going to try covering the sides, hoping this will increase the flow past the cards. Motherboard can be easily removed for quick access without touching the GPU's. https://i.imgur.com/XIuPCVJ.jpg?1https://i.imgur.com/uyXFkJU.jpg?1https://i.imgur.com/ql9I324.jpg?1

Nice, very much what I'd do if I had the space and capital.

You've got some competition on here
I don't participate in competitions, I do business. If you want to buy is OK. If you make a big order - I will make a price reduction. You can get feedback about me here https://forum.btcsec.com/index.php?/user/5621-tzen/. I`m ready to do business via the guarantor on the forum. Thank you !
