@Spexx - miner is looking good so far bud! Sorry the past few days have been hectic for me, but give me a couple more days & I'll send you a bunch of notes Wink

Still working on a proper Readme for MagiMiner, so I might have a few Q's about that as well (unless I figure it out myself Grin)

Great stuff. I was thinking about sending you some tech specs and stuff about how it works so you can help me translate that into something instructive in plain English. That would be a big help Smiley Any little niggles you find ... like you wish it did this when it did that ... stuff like that, just let me know and I will tweak it a bit.

The Wallet Mage is coming alive. How many XMG wallets do people want to manage with a secure and easy-to-use multiple wallet management and backup system? One? Two? Three? Ten?  Sixteen? How many is too many and how many is just right? Answers on a postcard please. Many thanks Smiley

Sweet, thanks!

...but it doesn't feel right accepting anything, as I have nothing to show for yet! I guess I'll just think of it as extra motivation to put in 110% Grin appreciate it!

The net hashrate dropped from 90 till 35 now, but reward still remains around 1.5.
Isn't that strange?

Today was strange day! Bittrex was updating XMG for some time.
Think now is everything back to normal.

BTW Magi is doing great on Cryptsy-voting list.

Isn't that strange?

The block reward is based on an average difficulty (and thus hashrate) of the previous 100 blocks, not the instantaneous hashrate. So if people are mining for dust when a massive hashrate decrease happens, they'll be mining for dust for quite a while.

Long list of coins who will delisted from Bittrex!!

Yeah I got that email and my jaw dropped. Imagine my relief when I could not find XMG on the list!

Here is another sneak preview of what is coming bundled with Autominer v4. Special thanks this time to Lightsplasher for the artwork and introducing a new bit of magic - "TempMax". With this new feature, you can prevent your CPU from overheating due to mining activities. It will limit the speed of the miner automatically so that the CPU core temperature will not exceed the figure you select. Now that's magic.

Not bad impressed Smiley.

Really awesome. I like the one with the kiss!

Please, consider proxy using or json conf-file in this magic soft.
I would like to use it, but in proxied environment!

Oke, then you have to get in for while with big hashrate, get 100 blocks, get out for a while and wait 100 blocks, then get in again, etc.

Using a proxy with this new software (as well with as the current release) is real easy when you know how. You just specify --proxy=[proxy-server-addr] as a custom minerd switch when prompted. This has never been adequately documented, but we will fix that in the new software release.

Incidentally, using a JSON config file is supported too. Use the custom minerd switch --config=[path\filename] when prompted.

It is an issue yes, but the community seems to be handling it really well. When the block rewards drop to dust and people's Sweet Spot software kicks in to save energy, my stats show that we "lose" about 4.2 Mh/s from the total fairly consistently. That is a massive amount and if it were not so, it would take far longer for the block rewards to recover to nicer levels. When the block rewards do start to rise again, my stats show that the "lost" 4.2 Mh/s comes back very quickly.

This all helps to keep the bulldozers at bay and shows what we can do collectively. We got the power Cheesy

Edit: I still think NeedIfFindIt's Sweet Spot software is pure genius and deserves a few donations at http://xmg.makejar.com/ for his time and trouble. Sent you a bit the other day mate Wink

That CPU should be capable of around 70 Kh/s and is certainly worthwhile.

The right program depends on what operating system you are using. Links for mining software are found in the OP at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.0 but if you need any specific help just post again here and we will do our best to assist.

None of the available pools are "best" as such, but if you join the Proof of Mining Campaign and mine on Coinmagi pool you will get an extra bonus.
