Monero seems to be still for long-term but Many altcoins are growing up so high such as DASH, ETH ,WAVE during the past.
Perhaps many investors can see many new features of these coins and their potentials more than monero.

...
Beeing fungible money or cash is a strong application and a great feature already, look at the BTC price.

Fungibility is a critical requirement for money; however Bitcoin's problem is far more basic. Before one can concern oneself whether a transaction can be traced destroying fungibility one has to be able to make the transaction in the first place. Monero has a solution for this far more basic problem also.

Many shitcoins take over xmr one after another just because they are marketed well. Due to lack of proper PR, marketing, official site and so on, people do not really know what xmr, privacy and fungibility are. Once these are fixed, the price will start increase. Even without and before any significant update to xmr code.

So lets go on.

Let the XMR team do the code and we rest may do the marketing. Twice a month at least youtube video. Blogs and posts to the reddit and other such sites. Invent by yourself.

Well, FP just released his marketing tweets + videos few weeks ago. I believe you've seen it too. Cool

I am sorry to say guys but it is not the wallets that will make the price to go to the moon but it is the increase of users.

Sure wallets help the user adaption but they are not going to bring any new users. It is the job of marketing and constant hype that encourages the others to buy our bags for higher price.  Shocked
The fact that a new wallet is coming out may be just enough to convince people to check out Monero, increasing the demand for it and raising the price.

I hold some Moneros still and I am a little bit worried about the fact that Monero looks like it is dying slowly.
No marketing, no adaption and the price is declining slowly along with the decline in the ranking on coinmarketcap.
As someone said, even shitcoins are doing better these days...  Undecided

Please give me a good circle jerk so that I would not need to start dumping (I am living basically in the hope of the pump nowdays and hope is not a solid thing to hold a bag full of rottening apples)....  Cry

"price is declining slowly" - but long-term it is still going up. in the last 3 months XMR/USD is at 100++%.  Roll Eyes

Also bitcoin/usd is going up.
Monero represents higher risk than bitcoin -> expected return on Monero should be higher than the expected return on bitcoin. Otherwise investing into higher risk and same payoff instrument doesn't make any sense if you act rationally.

^ The dreamers, idealists, rebels and crazy ones don't care. And value investors. Monero is so awesome, your duck should wear sun glasses instead. But you simply don't see it, blinded by greed and ignorance.

I feel sorry for you and would advise to just let it go.

Shit tried to open another long @ 0.01870491 but polo didn't post it and then it started going up too fast. Damn it.

HAH, turned out to be a good thing price is down to 0.01856886. Hmm m0ar or keep the margin in the 90's? Cheesy

Goddamn Polo it keeps saying my margin is placed but the damn thing never gets on the books. 0.01850003 didn't think I'd see that again. Shit price is really getting depressed today. Wonder if peops are running to fiat cause btc downward progress.

Can't begin to guess this market.  But everything points to growth.  Yesterday I saw 1129 active nodes.  Double digits wasn't that long ago.

I agree, it looks like intentional accumulation going on thats why i've been taking long positions but not being able to get one in at 0.01850003 real sucks donkey dick! Fucking Polo, if the trollbox was there I could have got that fixed right away.

I don't know how to read that but my targets are usually spot on and always right before I get called. Except the one time polo lied to me when liquidation was when Risto was fudding to accumulate, that cost me a chunk of change (actually cost me 3 times more than I hold now).

The entire market is down; it seems to do this occasionally, nothing to be too alarmed about. I'm sure that Monero will jump back soon.

higher fees means probably less people mixing on the bitcoin blockchain, and thus making fungibility even worse. So fungibility and block size are at least linked Smiley

At this point in time, Monero is very undervalued, for a mix and a large commission, the price should be ten times higher.

Okay, then let's speculate. This is a speculation thread after all. Grin

At recent top around $64, [$64*1.618], I see $95-$105 within this year.  Smiley

Next breakout should be around $167.  Cool

I have to agree on this one.
Monero is not a coin that will make you rich soon.
Whenever I agree with the duck, it seems worthy of comment.  But what, pray tell, is "soon"?

Well, it looks like we are already at nearly 50$ again. I’m glad to see the price recovering, although it was nice to fill my bag at 35$.
