Many shitcoins take over xmr one after another just because they are marketed well. Due to lack of proper PR, marketing, official site and so on, people do not really know what xmr, privacy and fungibility are. Once these are fixed, the price will start increase. Even without and before any significant update to xmr code.
So lets go on.
Let the XMR team do the code and we rest may do the marketing. Twice a month at least youtube video. Blogs and posts to the reddit and other such sites. Invent by yourself.
To me this argument is really starting to resemble "When will we get a GUI wallet?" 2.0 |

I agree , i am full in XMR and hodl for long time ... but i am scared that without marketing XMR will get on the background , even if the tech is superior. If nobody knows about it , u can have the best tech but people will still be not convinced without hearing about it... thats just my honest opinion , it will not change my mind on selling all my XMR , i am in from the early days but as crypto gets more and more attention in the media , we ( xmr ) should deffinitly get more attention then those shitcoins ... |

I hold some Moneros still and I am a little bit worried about the fact that Monero looks like it is dying slowly. No marketing, no adaption and the price is declining slowly along with the decline in the ranking on coinmarketcap. As someone said, even shitcoins are doing better these days...  Please give me a good circle jerk so that I would not need to start dumping (I am living basically in the hope of the pump nowdays and hope is not a solid thing to hold a bag full of rottening apples)....  |

I was kind of surprised this morning to see that Monero was down 5% at 48.45$ and number 11 on coinmarketcap. Is there any particular reason why it’s like that or is it just fluctuation?
Bitcoin dropped down below 2500 USD while XMR's BTC price remains relatively unchanged at around 0.019. I still maintain that XMR's next move up will be a big one and will break the previous ATH in BTC as well as USD. |

this is good news about Coinomi but how this can give a boost on the price? Can you explain?
I can't believe for example that XMR is behind in price from Gnosis or DASH.... it's crazy...
I am long term holder of XMR of course and things can change but drives me crazy indeed when i see the price at 0.018 - 0.020...
Regarding the up and downs we had on the BTC we had not big effect on XMR and this is good signal i have to agree that this is most likely a signal for next big move.

These are the news we want to see. And the best is, that these are made possible by the development of the xmr code not by marketing of the xmr. But. It is not a reason to not market xmr. Times have shifted since the times of 2009. Then there was just XBT. Now there are hundreds of coins. By marketing we ensure that as least as possible opportunities of xmr are wasted. There I guess is no any other coin with competitive tech with xmr. But who knows what will happen in the future. It would wonderful if xmr was adopted by https://nvo.io/https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1917456.0If there had been more marketing of xmr it propably would allready have been adopted. What you guys anyway think about nvo? At least at the first sight it look great. |

Maybe best to find some recent ones and not 3 years old. @TrueCryptonaire You are always worried. If you miss the marketing start to market Monero. Just do it. There are many that are doing it or will follow you. Just dont be always so worried. It will cost your health all these years of worries. There is lots Marketing around Monero already, but when it come to marketing there is never to much. IT is not same as it was 2 years ago, Monero same as in development walked long way also at marketing. Newbies can find information way better as they used to. And is only getting better. |

Guys, don't get sucked into TrueCryptonaire posts.
He oscillates between Monero uber-bull to (basically a) pathetic troll depending on the position of his books. He has been doing this since 2014.
He'll be bullish when Monero is $1, bearish when it is $2, bullish when it is $5, bearish when it is $10, bullish when it $25, bearish when it is $50...
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what the price of Monero is. If he isn't holding & is looking to re-enter at a low price, he will be doom and gloom. If he is bag holding a bunch, then Monero is the best thing since Bitcoin and will take over the world.
I've lost count the amount of times he has flip-flopped between extreme pessimism to euphoric optimism at seemly a flip of a switch. It's kinda of comically really. But it is also kinda disgusting.
He thinks he can try to influence you to play into his books. He has no integrity and his words are worthless as he will say anything to enrich himself. Just ignore him.

Also, there have been several very popular youtubers who've recently spoken highly of Monero. Even without a marketing team, word is getting out. |
