Aha okay thanks... just saw the tweet.

LOL so the traders will have all day today to "buy the rumor" before we'll see the "news SOLD" late tonight.

May be another fun day around here in MoneroLand LOL

Depends on what the news is. How "big" do you anticipate it to be?

Price drop:
- LOL: New developer, new gui version or something like that..
- Small: Hardware wallet, Jaxx Integration

~~CURRENT PRICE~~

Further increase:
- Mid: new partner / investor
- Big: Coinbase, unexpected XYZ

e: a Bitcoin compatible RPC would actually be huge...

had an order at 27.5 usd and just missed it the past week and now the 100% gain... Sad

There may be several more 100% gains to come, so don't feel like you lost your opportunity.  I recommend spending a fixed dollar/euro/yen amount every week, ignoring price. This works well for most people, if they persist.

The main thing to learn from your case is that you don't benefit from xmr you don't hold.  All the many hours I have spent trading were of insignificant value compared to just being their, bags full, when the moves come.

This is the truth. The risk/reward ratio is way off and almost always foolish.

Trading is worth pennies to the upside and fortunes to the downside when the real moves happen.

WTF you guys.... champagne?  Baileys?  Moet??  AAAAAAAAAAAhh, no!!

WTF, srsly... and you guys call yourselves Moneroites? ? ? ? ?  Puh-leeze... Cheesy

No no no no no.... it's:

"I just opened a 2004 barolo in your and the devs honor!!!"

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

A good Barolo is a lovely wine.  I have had a Pouillac 1986 Chateau Latour that's been too valuable to drink for 5 years.  I was given it and then I realised it was worth so much, I couldn't bear to drink it!

I have waited for an excuse.  If this is the price (or better) at this time tomorrow, I will open it.

Cheers!

That's one nice bottle you've got there. Sounds expensive... what's that, like 8 monero these days  Cheesy

Holy crap, Monero is up 30% and at 55$! I honestly didn't see that coming, not to mention the speed that it came at.

Ja, but maybe new "long-term big-time investors" will take the "sell-on news" opportunity to enter "bigtime" on Monero.  Cool

my opinion, XMR should be spot number 3 on coinmarket cap, higher than Dash.
but only personal, dont take it as advice
The thing is, Coinmarketcap ranks coins based on their market; not based on their technical side. Nevertheless, a rank in coinmarket cap won't make or break a crypto. Besides, I'm also expecting DASH to hit a dump at some point; it's been on a bull run for a little while and I don't think the price will hold out for very long. It may end up dropping a peg or two soon.

I'm starting a technology blog T4CH.top, check it out!

A little less - around 5....  But hopefully less XMR by tonight... ;-)

I am EST + 5, so I have to wait until 11.00?  Jeez, better be decent news!

I was actually hoping to buy a couple extra Monero before the announcement, but I literally can't buy Bitcoin right now.
Coinbase is having issues with their site, Bitstamp wants a ton of documents, Kraken has been verifying my Level 1 account since yesterday...

People hoping to get into bitcoin aren't going to pay crazy fees or deal with some random person on a forum.
It seems like the ability to convert fiat to crypto (and vice versa) is still the biggest hurdle to investing these days...

Gotta love the volume - nearly 25K BTC today....

And the price is tasty and looking restless, sweet and compelling.  Hard not to watch - who dares look away?

Yep - and I did look away, went to gab some food and stuff with the g/f!

Not sure if it's a dump, or just a healthy correction, I reckon not lower than 0212 before a bounce back - too much support and news still to come.

But what do I know?

Tz-tz-tz aminorex, I know this is a speculation thread going through an exciting period, but one must not throw away proper spelling, must he not? I'm only mentioning this because I know you'll appreciate it.
