Hmmm...  I'm starting to think these 'trolls' are actually the creation of Fluffypony to get the Montereans together and rile everybody up to keep fighting the real trolls.

Smart...

That or they're really XMR hodlers releasing the pain.  Lololol.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Hey all, I’m holding like the rest off u guys from 50cents to 485 and ... back? Can someone please cheer me up Cheesy, I don’t want to loose faith. Now I’m starting to think this was just one big bubble who will never recover

Then you shouldn't be worried even if it went to $5 you'd still be "x10" in profit. I thought I'd never see Monero fall to below the levels I first bought it, but I guess the price equation doesn't care what people think.

Can't cheer you up if you've already decided to be depressed but maybe my misery makes your misery seem less bad?

Don't worry about today. Tomorrow when Monero reclaims its space, as it will, you'll wonder what you were worried about. Whenever that tomorrow is!

Didn't you say the same in 2014?

I'm still confused about the direction of the "flight to safety" everyone is taking, temporary to $US? still going to end badly

I would advise selling right now and buying back in under $10, the bear market has only just started for altcoins and will drop a lot more.

XMR currently at about $50 hitting low of $10 would be cut-in-half about twice from here.

Applying that to BTC which is now at just under $4,000, halving twice-more would be... $1,000

Then again for BCH now about $180... it's $45.

So, agrees with my guessing?

Only remaining QUESTION is... timeframe?  WHEN??   Tongue

any guesses where monero bottoms?

Long term seems Bitcoin is following 2014. Almost identical, since dates are similar.  Bitcoin went then approximately from 1200 to 200. So if next year will continue as last half year did then we might have $3500 Bitcoin at some point and on average not much higher at start of next year.   You can imagine where will Monero be.  So there is your bottom.    I dont predict this, but there is still possibility. I do hope and expect Bitcoin will recover faster then last time.

If you are asking in upcoming weeks, then it is ofcourse way higher.

OK, while writing it makes me think. I call that Monero will not go under $50.   Most of time will stay way over that but should not go under this number ever.

If that hunk Romero goes back to $50 I will probably jizz my pants. Jus sayin’.

Edit: I think I just now realized that I have a lot of complex emotional attachments to XMR.

Well I will be probably wrong as usual Tongue
But we were both right. $50 XMR was needed so people started getting gloomy, calling $1 Monero and the end of crypto. That is needed if we want to get out of it.

Monero needs to eventually make a move on its own. Not related to bitcoin or any other cryptocoin, but to its privacy related trait.

Seeing this https://old.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/a0c6vi/i_made_a_chart_of_the_number_of_full_nodes_around/

I choose top100 countries by BDP in 2017 and then deducted node rank from the BDP rank.  So China is rank 2 by GDP and rank 4 by nodes so got factor -2.    Could be some mistakes and is sort of strange to me that there is no node in big Iraq.

Considering only top50 countries by GDP.  And when trying to find out which countries have least nodes considering their GDP strenght we got this:

As soon as we spread Monero awareness in Nigeria, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Philippines. Then we are half way there.

And who won after all that bs?  Faketoshi did.  And who lost?  Everybody else.  I don't know why some people still even give him a platform.  I guess he's like the level 1000000000 of scammers.

^  How so?  I wasn't aware any BTC futures expired that day.  And whenever prices fell caused by futures' expiration, it was never anything like this.  This blood bath looks like there's some maniac pushing the sell button.
