Ok, perhaps I am not very smart... but I reinstalled the app.

What is my username? Is it my "Name" at the top of the app.

Or is it "username" where it says username under gemwallet?

Does my name show to people that just message my user name, or is that kept hidden unless I share contact info?

When I go to settings and click Edit I can change my name but not my username?

I can also find user @pilot 1 whatever that means? So, that must not be me.

Yep... peled fixed something for me in the back end. So, you should be able to find me now and message me, and make it rain. lol

I've invited one more friend and he used my getgems name for referral. He earned 5 gems, but i didn't receive 25 gems. I have 19 referrals, but only 450 earned gems. It should be 475 earned gems.

I set up the app and wanted to test sending Gems to a regular BTC address, so I sent the 5 starter gems to myself and everything seemed fine within the app (it said sent and my balance went to 0), but I never received anything at the bitcoin address! I also pulled up the "receive" bitcoin address from the app and it looks like there never were any coins there to begin with. Is there a way to view transaction history within the app, or load up the wallet from somewhere else like CounterWallet and see what's going on? I'm curious to see where the gems actually got sent to!

Also, is there currently a way to earn gems outside of referrals? I'm ready to watch ad after ad for some gemz!

The Gems you send are in-app or off the block chain to allow for sending Gems to other GetGems users for free, your bitcoin address is online and can be accessed by using your pass phrase (settings >> pass phrase recovery) to open your associated counterwallet -> https://counterwallet.io/ -> If you send the GEMS to your own Bitcoin address this is also where your 5 GEMS can be found. 

At the moment transaction history is not yet available, maybe its on the to do list for the developers but I'm not sure.

Thanks for letting me know about the pass phrase recovery! I didn't even think to try that! So I loaded it up into CounterWallet and there's still no transactions in the wallet. I also noticed that within the app when I tap the gem and the icon switches to the bitcoin logo, it then gives me a different address then when I hold down on the gem icon. Neither address has any history, and the pass phrase only seems to unlock the "bitcoin" address and not the "gem" address

This app is still in beta and the advertising feature is not yet operational.  You can however buy Gemz at Poloniex.com or other exchanges too that I'm not familiar with.

I'm glad to see you that you see the possibilities and welcome to the community!  It seems there are quite a few newbies posting here lately!

It is still not so stable I guess , your online status is  last seen as 29/4 ,that's weird ,
And I can't even send gemz using this app, 10 gems I sent to my friend is lost I think.

How many did you move to your phone?  I have around 3100 or so in that same state and another 900 or so on my phone I'm afraid to send.

None, There was already 5 gemz when I installed an app, plus 25 gemz as I got from referrals bonus,

I'm not receiving any gemz from referrals, and last login of referral says long time ago, plus, when i minimize the app when i reopen it creates 2 more tabs (gemz|BTC) each time i reopen

Also i don't receive gemz sent directly from a user

All of this in android 4.2.2 Xperia C2104, I'll test in the ios version in an iphone 4

I can't even pass from the phrase part in ios, so i can't try it

Did you view the BTC address you sent the gems to on the counter party block explorer?

You are correct, GEMS are OFF-CHAIN, this means you won't see them in a block explorer.

That's correct. The BTC address is on the block chain. The GEMS address isn't. So, they will be different.

I'm not sure what you mean about the unlocking.

Small bug on IOS ipad.

When sending bitcoin via qcode the transaction works but I cannot close the Type Amount screen.
I have to close the app and open it again.

Is getgems on github so everyone can add bugs/issues?

We are upgrading the referral mechanism, the rewards will be sent retroactively.
