Came home saw this on the miners screen FoundBlocks 1 - Got very excited!
Can't seem to see any payout though?
Also this is a old S3 which was even more of a surprise!
Bitmain's cgminer fork is quite broken with respect to block finding detection.

I'm beginner with solo mining and using blackarrow prospere x1 for this.. How i should config my device for "All you need to confirm you are mining to your own address is to examine the coinbase and template sent to you over stratum." You can't do it with your hardware, you need software that can do it for you. If you build the latest cgminer from git you can use the --decode option (which needs bitcoind running as well as the first pool). Otherwise you have to extract the coinbase from stratum through some other means and feed it into bitcoind to decode the hex.

It is still possible. Extremely unlikely but still possible. Updating won't increase your chances of finding a block unless you get more powerful hardware.

K i figured about as much, I can push about 5 g/h on average but its either take a shot here, or break even on my power bill til I sell this thing. Been hoping another tech will come out better then the 9 but til then I appreciate this pool being here for that extremely unlikely chance to give me 25 grand+ instead of a lotto ticket for the day lol. Answer is appreciated as well sir..

I'm beginner with solo mining and using blackarrow prospere x1.5 for this.. My prospero's has pre-installed cgminer and those are controlled over network with web browser.. Googled for a while, but i didn't find any information about config commands for cgminer that is installed to my prospero, or how to control these miners over network with cgminer on pc. I'm currently mining solo.ckpool.org:3333 with user 14cC6urXAXLMNaeCpQY5B8TFsgu2GkXUPM @166GH/s / 1d But is it only waste of time if i can't confirm that i'm mining to my own address?

The argument could be made quite easily that it is a waste of time regardless mining at that hash rate. You can verify you are hashing at http://solo.ckpool.org/users/14cC6urXAXLMNaeCpQY5B8TFsgu2GkXUPM.

Yes, but the thing with this is lottery, there might be possibility with even 1GH/s It's small one, but still

And yet the last block was found with a S5 and everyone thought that was a waste of time, except for the guy who got 17 BTC..... every hash is a chance...

What's the Android app called again that monitors the pool and notifies when a block is hit? I can't remember the name. Edit: found it

Just to clarify, this and the shared pool are compatible with the upcoming segwit component of the New York Agreement AKA segwit2x soft fork and any blocks we find will be valid and accepted.

Watching the blocks the solo pool looks dew to crack one any day now I feel going by past records. Good to know CK's working away in the background keeping the pools bang up to date
