CK, do you plan to setup a second pool for solo mining on Bitcoin Cash (BCH)?  The fork is happening.

No. It will be yet another insignificant fork. There's far too much fuss about it just because of its timing being associated with the real changes to bitcoin. It's irrelevant.

By the way, if anyone is looking for my recommendation for what to do about the August 1 fork that just happened, I recommend that anyone who had bitcoin holdings at the time of the fork safely get hold of their bitcoin cash and sell it all ASAP for bonus bitcoin though it's tricky at the moment due to slow blocks and exchanges. hitbtc.com is one of the easiest ways to move it directly to btc. Here's a bit of a guide about how to proceed:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2059111.0

Most importantly, make sure to move your real bitcoin to new addresses before selling your bitcoin cash to prevent replay protection from trashing your bitcoin and don't let the bcash software anywhere near your secure bitcoin data.

Your setup looks fine. Shares don't mean anything with solo mining and restarting has no effect on mining, except for the small timeframe you are not mining during the restart.

Noobie normie here. Just got a couple of old S3's figured id set em up to mine. Been looking around and seems like this is the only way id be able to make money with a combined hash rate of 950 GH/s...

Anyway, I have them pointed at the address and they are both working, i can go to the status on the website and see that they are both hashing away.

How can I be sure it will go to that address if i ever hit a block?

Secondarily, are there any other mining options out there for someone with older equipment? If not im just gonna let these guys have at the lotto system! Wink

if thats your correct address and your stats are showing, if you hit a block it will get sent to that address,
secondly, around 950Gh on a pool will get you roughly $1 a day.   you're looking at $30 a month or $360 a year  Grin   but considering the difficulty rise, that will drop

so your best option is to leave it up to lady luck

Thanks for replying!

Yeah $1 a day isn't worth it to me, im no expert though xD

I can see my stats on the ck pool site but on the other site, with the dashboard my stats wont show up. Is that a bug?
