So I keep thinking that some of my bets never show up at the site...

Is there an easy way to see just your bets?

start by checking: http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/txlist

You should have gambling built into some of the wallet apps.
Bet [   ] to win [    ] at satoshidice
click ok + yes
Have the address built into the program so that people who are completely clueless about bitcoin can gamble without messing anything up. Such an easy way to gamble online doesn't exist right now so this could definitely bring in a bunch of new people to the bitcoin world if advertised properly.

i'm pretty sure i've got no response from this tx:

http://blockexplorer.com/tx/e210c2d528c7084493071fb6327eac68641a28582564b54a035d62916e8c6352

(sent 0.5 to satoshidice, both outputs are unredeemed after 8 confirmations, despite the fact that i see the site still rolling along nicely with newer tx's)

i think i saw in the list that it won, but i can't be sure as the site doesn't list older transactions.

what should i do from here?

I hope I never have to use twitter...

well, i figured out how to check on the site for the tx...

go here: http://satoshidice.com/full.php?tx=e210c2d528c7084493071fb6327eac68641a28582564b54a035d62916e8c6352

and replace the tx id with your own tx id... you can do this even if the bet is no longer listed on the home page.

you can get the tx id by running your client with -debug and double-clicking on the transaction, then use the partial tx id listed there to search in blockexplorer.com for the full tx id.

lots of steps involved :/

(having done all that, i see that my 0.5 bet did actually win... just haven't received the payout yet, so i'll wait it out).

I think there's something wrong, I observed the whole day today, the lessthan 12000 bet wins way too often, the odds of winning seems more like 50%+ instead of 18%, the pool has went down over 150 btc today.

for example, these happened in the past 10 minutes, this has been going on all day today:

Details   2012-05-08 21:01:20   lessthan 12000   61aa5448   2c7c3535   PENDING   5.00000000   WIN   27.08333333   4903

Looking at our numbers for the bigger picture, yesterday wasn't out of line from what we would expect.  Days like that will happen.  Just to be sure, I ran an distribution test of yesterday's secret and don't see anything out of the ordinary:

http://pastebin.com/WenDxVdX

That is using the secret from 2012-05-08 and 2^24 random transactions.  If the distribution is even, each should have about 65536.  Also, this just uses the first byte, not first two bytes to make the output reasonable.

Has anybody been paid on a transaction that didn't respond right away?  Any ideas how to resolve this?

All transactions are being paid eventually, even the stuck ones. The developer has been working on a fix to address this sticking issue - even though only a small minority of transactions get stuck, when there are 4000 transactions total in a day it causes problems Smiley  This forum is the best way to reach us, and if a transaction still hasn't come back to you after 24 hrs, please PM me or fireduck.

There appears to be significant reliability issues.  In my experiences, 10% don't get a response.

I have seen some pretty long delays but I'm waiting on a few transactions today that have been submitted and waiting for confirmation for over an hour...

What I'm wondering is why blockchain.info is warning me of a "Double Spend" Attack!?

"Warning! this transaction is a double spend. You should be extremely careful when trusting any transactions to/from this sender."

What is this, and will I ever receive these transactions?

It doesn't work as quickly as it used to.

I think the service had suffered from double speeding cheating and so now it only rolls the dice after the incoming bet is mined in at least one block.

Well, still better than nothing... Smiley

If they have significantly changed the service (Such as making it require validation before rolling) it would have been nice to have an official message on here, or on the site saying "By the way, we had to change the following to protect ourselves from cheating"

Because yeah, the added delays have made it much more complicated to execute any kind of betting strategy at all.
