Debating moving my 2 PH over here. Would be nice if the pool could attract a critical mass to lower variance.
Any genius ideas to entice other large farms?

variance is such a fancy term. are we talking change in payout frequency over a time range? variance over a month is pretty low. variance over a week is pretty low. if you are speaking lower variance over a day, 2PH will go a long way to lower that. if you are talking variance hourly, you will likely be waiting a long while.

It is hard for those of us with 7 figure investments on the line to stomach huge swings in revenue. Despite the reality that over time it shouldn't matter.....the timing differences in cash flow can be gut wrenching.

You need to define the timeframe before we can even begin to guesstimate how much hashrate is required to alleviate your variance concerns?

You need to define the timeframe before we can even begin to guesstimate how much hashrate is required to alleviate your variance concerns? Lets say a week. to pay bills, service debt, invest in expansion, I would like a 95% confidence interval I will make 90% of my expected earnings for 2 PH.

Im new to mining and only have two S3's for a bit of fun. Not out to make any real profit just something to do. Im just wondering what sort of income i could get (rough ballpark figure) on this pool with one or both of my s3's. Can anyone give me an idea?
Also a side note to ck and kano, thanks for developing the software etc. I know im late to the whole bitcoin industry but got to show my appreciation.

Visit : https://ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com/ to see off site computed numbers on actual payouts. Reference: 1TH computes to 0.00418972 btc/day at current difficulty. (0.0044 last diff) if 90% earning over a full week is your targets, the numbers there should help you with more info for making your decision. "The pool hash rate for the last day is roughly 12.94PHs which means the 5Nd 'ramp' is roughly 2days 7hrs." after 2.5 day, 90% looks very stable over a week period (from this angle).

Are you at a PPS pool now? With your 2ph we would be around 15ph which I think would attract more hash but I believe 16ph is 3 blocks per day and if your looking to 90%pps over a week that should be very attainable.

heh yeah but the problem with that is there's 4 diff changes in there.
You need to show the PPS% also for each diff change range.
I've got the design in my head for the additions to the rewards page (3 'extra' tabs) of daily, 'diff change'ly and monthly (and of course an overall PPS % figure for shares outside the 5Nd and a separate one for shares inside the 5Nd since they are 'expected' to average 50% PPS for a full time miner) but that will be some time down the track ...

Yes, after I posted that I was thinking I should have done the ranges by the difficulty instead of weekly. Then I starting thinking about how I could show that on ckpoolmonitor, which started me looking into other things and then I forgot all about doing the ranges for difficulty.
