It is hard for those of us with 7 figure investments on the line to stomach huge swings in revenue.  Despite the reality that over time it shouldn't matter.....the timing differences in cash flow can be gut wrenching.
You need to define the timeframe before we can even begin to guesstimate how much hashrate is required to alleviate your variance concerns?

Lets say a week.

to pay bills, service debt, invest in expansion, I would like a 95% confidence interval I will make 90% of my expected earnings for 2 PH.

Quit being a pussy and jump!

heh yeah but the problem with that is there's 4 diff changes in there.

You need to show the PPS% also for each diff change range.

Yes, after I posted that I was thinking I should have done the ranges by the difficulty instead of weekly.
Then I starting thinking about how I could show that on ckpoolmonitor, which started me looking into other things and then I forgot all about doing the ranges for difficulty.  Cheesy

Kano is correct. Expected (PPS) earnings should be shown.

Better still, if you divide your earnings figures by the expected earnings you won't have to worry about the assessment periods you use. Present the earnings and percentage of expected, ie  your earnings btc / (your d1_equiv shares / network difficulty * 25  btc).

that is interesting.   using thursday as an end of week creates pretty decent weekly variance.    possibly the worst day for the week to end.   try sunday as end of week.

I just went backwards from today, I was not really paying attention to what day of the week it was.

I don't have that all automated yet, so I'm not going to go through it and change the day right now. Maybe tomorrow.  Grin

ckpool restart in a 45 minutes, when the clock had hits zero Smiley
ckpool restarts are immediate, no down time, but as usual a very small % of miners will failover.

More updates by -ck for the node communication and optimising that, and there's been a few changes over the last 6 days (since the last restart) worth updating for.

Kano I've been using the stratum.kano.is pool in first place and de.kano.is in second, but my connection to the DE server its about 100ms faster, should I move DE to first option?
I'm asking because DE pool server its still in beta, right?
Thanks.

Yeah nodes are still in beta ... and that restart just crashed and burned so a lot of people failed over Sad
Only affected everyone for a couple of minutes and all is back ok again.
Numbers are getting back up to where they were, before the restart was at 15PH now over 14PH

Edit: ok back now over 15PH (higher than before the restart)
