well guys i am going to have to shut down my miners at this time ive been running my 4 s1's and 1 s2 here since about jan and been lovin it but with the PH/s at where it is now i cannot afford electric for them

so i tried adding rentals to it to help it but diddnt help

maybe if i can sell these units and get something better down the road ill be able to mine again

i loved kano's pool alot

learned alot while here ill be jumping on here once in a while but only other miner that i have thats energy effeciant is my 4 compac sticks will be 5 if i can get sidehack to fix it right now its only about 60-66GH/s so its concidered dust so im going to be running that somewhere else or maybe ill shut it down..

been alot of fun guys and good luck with more blocks

Found this link here is the issue

95%  of f2pool mining gear is in China for LTC
90% of f2pool mining gear is in China for Ethereum

All of that gear is in China mining on a Chinese pool.  Can I blame a guy with 3 s-7's in the basement of a school in china for mining in china no I do not.

The gear is not leaving China  and if you are mining with physical gear in china it is best to mine on a Chinese pool with a Chinese server.

...
Unfortunately, what woke me up was the DE node alarms.
Anyone mining on the DE node will have almost certainly failed over at 22:40 UTC
There was a network outage somewhere between the main pool node and the DE node.
It was less than a minute, so everyone who failed over will have reconnected back on the next attempt (and the hash rate was back up to normal within a few minutes)
...
I think I should point to DE node being located in UK but I'm not sure of stratum address for miners - can't find official info.

but those numbers really say that it's most likely that either the GFW screwed us over or antpoo did.

I'm curious how the GFW would work in favor of antpoo, or by the same token, prevent our blocks from propagating faster (than antpoo's) across the network. Pardon my naivety on this. I would have expected their blocks to be relayed slower and thus lose the race.
They confirmed their block.
... and just to add some more details:
An orphan isn't known until the block after an orphan race.
The next block decides which is the orphan - assuming the race is only one block long, which is most likely.

What happened is that antpoo got a block and we got a block ... around the same time.
Then one of the following happened:
1) Antpoo took more than 2 seconds to process their block and send it out
2) Antpoo sent out their block about the same time as us but the GFW slowed it down getting to USA, Europe, Japan etc ... i.e. the rest of the world
3) Antpoo knew about our block but used theirs, later, instead
4) Our block took a long time to get to them (even though the relay in USA, Europe and Japan knew about our block 2-4 seconds before the Antpoo block)
5) The GFW slowed down our block getting to Antpoo - this is a possible cause for 4) to happen

Then finally:
Since Antpoo was working on their block and not ours, when they found the next network block, before anyone else, that meant ours was an orphan.

Meanwhile back in the CKDB world of sequence issues ... I'm now into trying different code changes to see what will resolve it.

The first one I'll try in about 5-10 minutes, coz I thought of it about half an hour ago and have now implemented it, and the next shift summarisation will be in the next 10 minutes - and be a short one like I usually plan for a restart.
Crossing my fingers in hope this solves it ... a timing issue caused by the threading actually being a lot faster (which it is of course) and causing the main sequence number to get further ahead in some cases.

As usual, a CKDB restart means no miners will be affected - just the web/api unavailable for about 10 minutes.

Edit: restart worked fine, resolved the sequence problem, but alas it showed up the actual cause of the sequence problem.
So, I've rolled it back, yet again, and the 2nd restart will complete in the next five minutes.
I'll code in the fix tomorrow and then do another restart then, i.e. avoid doing any more restarts until then.

Edit2: all complete - web/api all back online

Mystery man has mysteriously vanished. Gone like a fart in the wind.

Perhaps he is doing maintenance and will be back or maybe gone. No clue, hopefully he say the light and will be back but to each their own if he decided to move on.

Okay I jumped in with 500 th.

my logic is we are at a cdf high winning number.  I am a 20th guy  so 500th will not bring my redline too high at all.  If I win the block I will win a high cdf

and will be in the lead as high cdf.

So now is the time for all you 10-50th guys to drop a nice rental.

AND...there you have it! Check those last numbers. 500TH?...Holy Crap..Simply can't compete any longer with those numbers!! It is time for me to go. I will try the solo pool until the end of the month, in hopes that I hit a block and can update my hardware. After that...I can't support this hobby any longer.

Wish me luck and I wish the same to everyone of the good people in this pool,
