I had to force a pool restart just a minute ago.
Miners kept dropping off like wildfire.
Restarting fixed it immediately.
I'm looking into what the cause was ...
LOL that caused a block almost immediately Cheesy

More blockfu by tich13 Smiley

yay

kano is there anyways to track best share out of ur workers on the pool?
No.
I ignore it on purpose because people think it has meaning, when in fact it actually has zero meaning, it's purely random.

ahh ok , yeah i know its meaning less , but otherwise cool to see how close u have come to actually putting up a block finding share

Any problems with port 80 on kano.?  I get  dead on my  s
7 on this  port  .
Checking my units remotely several times a day, have never seen :80 dead and :3333 alive at the same time. So may be the problem is at your end. I am not an expert though.
Update: i've just seen that for the first time myself (i mean :3333 alive and :80 dead). Can any guru say a word about it?))

Don't worry about the website I'm sure kano has alarm bells ringing for certain issues, and the main thing is that we are still mining.

EDIT: and if your not mining then you should have at least one of the other kano servers as your backup (as well as other contingencies)

The data centre is having network problems, I raised a ticket with them before and they are working on it (supposedly ...)
It was dropping about half the miners on and off for a while due the the data centre problems.
Main server has finally come back to full life again just now, but no word from them yet saying it's fixed.

Edit: oh - spoke too soon Sad More drop outs still occurring.

Hi Kano
Any update ?
Trying to restart rentals but it's not working
Rentals won't handle a disconnect - they're proxies and poxy.
So yeah at the moment a rental would probably not survive.

Been out for a few hours...just got back...can't get to the website, but my S3s here at home are connected and fine. I notice from the Luci's that they apparently failed over to solo around an hour and forty minutes ago, but then back to kano.is.

I was all uptight to glance at the board having just overclocked the heck out of these miners...thought maybe I'd inadvertently found the circuit breaker for the Universe...

Looks like youz guyz have it under control. I'm going back to bed. Mine on...  Cool

EDIT: FWIW, I have a dozen websites hosted with Hostwinds; they had a (very unusual) scheduled maintenance outage tonight to upgrade their center's power backbone and routers; although I forewarned all the site owners, one in particular never reads his e-mail and burned up my cell connection for a bit until he realized he missed the bus. They were planning on three hours, but it took only an hour or so, and no data was lost on the primary site, a mail server I own. The reason I'm mentioning it is that I fired my previous hosting contractor last year for the sort of stuff that Kano's having to deal with. Problems can happen, even with adequately redundant DC's...but what i was experiencing with the previous vendor was a lot like Kano has seen...someone hitting the ctrl-alt-del...twice...and such.

MIne on...(snore)...

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)
