Block by BTC2X with 23TH/s!  This is his 2nd Kano block and our 2nd of the day!   Cheesy

I'm a little late as this happened about 3 hours ago.  I could not get into the forum.  Grin

I've had trouble periodically getting here as well for the past 24 hrs or so.

...and...welcome back, Sierra...hang in there.

Thanks I appreciate it.

I have also had trouble getting here also.

...and again...hours without being able to logon here. Is the board getting DDoS'd? Not worried about it, but it's kinda aggravating as it's the best/only info source for us.

EDIT: ...and back on again. Argh.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Well, you could always turn too the IRC channel if the forum is down. It's a little different but you don't feel quite so cut off when you have a backup in place.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's being DDoSed but that's a guess from the fact that over the past 36hrs I've only managed to get on once or twice before now for a very short time, and one of the failure messages, while trying, was exactly what you'd get if a DDoS was going on.

the pool gain back a little bit more than 5k Th/s in the past few days, and we run into a "blockless day" ...well... more than a "blockless day" , last block found 31h 31m hours ago ...
So to actually put up a few points to avoid anyone seeing correlation where absolutely none exists ...

More miners don't stop the current miners finding blocks ...
A correlation to that: ... a block-less day means ... no blocks were found, not that new miners stopped blocks being found Smiley

We got a slow (384%) block, but ... they're expected to happen on average, about every ~46.5 blocks, averaged over a long period of time, (see below) and then the next 2 blocks were under 100% Smiley

The usual post about stats Smiley
Code:
 0.39346934028737   50.000%  1 in 1.6
 0.63212055882856  100.000%  1 in 2.7
 0.77686983985157  150.000%  1 in 4.5
 0.86466471676339  200.000%  1 in 7.4
 0.95021293163214  300.000%  1 in 20.1
 0.98168436111127  400.000%  1 in 54.6
 0.99326205300091  500.000%  1 in 148.4
 0.99752124782333  600.000%  1 in 403.4
 0.99872735771441  666.666%  1 in 785.8
 0.99908811803445  700.000%  1 in 1096.6
 0.99966453737210  800.000%  1 in 2981.0
 0.99987659019591  900.000%  1 in 8103.1

... and lastly ... with the last block that was found in October (since October has now finished)
as the stats page shows - we found ~2.3 more blocks than statistically expected for October Smiley
(and the average PPS% value was 106.06% for October blocks)

Edit: oh also we had another of those really close shares yesterday (UTC)
Code:

Prizes come up here when manufacturers want to prompt people to buy their hardware Smiley
(and then sometimes during that I may throw in some BTC prizes also)

Yes I understand the contests, but I was referring to this:

Yeah I was referring to his post also, but your post had more useful comments to include in my reply Smiley

Maybe you missed this or ignored it?

Kano,
You say they have the worst luck and worst CDF of miners connected to the pool.
Have you run luck and CDF numbers for each type of ASIC mining at the pool? S3's, S4's A4's, A6's, SP20's, etc?
Just curious what the luckiest miners are.

The reason I ask is that you have shown us the S9 CDF and I was just wondering how they compare to other ASICs.
I can't differentiate between miners very easily, since they don't say "I'm an S3"
S9's do currently say "I'm an S9"
What I compare them to is the other grouped stats of miner versions - which don't necessarily say which miner they are.

No problem, I thought maybe you misunderstood what I was saying. But I guess it was I that misunderstood.  Smiley

Ok, I thought since you had the S9 info that maybe all the ASICs had something that indicated what they were.

I'm back Smiley willing to risk the S9 isn't jeopardising the pool. Missed being here and it's great to be back.

Block  Grin. 1st of the month!
The colour is based on the range 90% to 110% luck (as normal 100%=black, <100% is red >100% is green)

Of course if there's only a few blocks, it can get outside that range, but after about 10 the colour range works well.
I could use CDF to colour it like the stats table, but decided to have the month one a little different.

One thing about this pool it's very consistent, generally performing very well. It has had great months that are above average, followed by months that are good. I don't remember a month off the top of my head that the pool has performed poorly. Happy to be back.

August was the only bad month of the last six and I am pushing bad really mediocre would be correct.
