Cool!
Thanks guys.
I got RPi 3 from Canaan and was surprised with no power connector.
Oh well, thanks for the guidance.
Well turn on the units after configurations

Funny i was looking at getting this https://simplemining.net/ to manage remote reset and hard boots for my RIGs "mining ether and Zcash"

It works best to let the pool pick the difficulty for you.

I just went full mad mode on the RPi provided by Canaan.
In the Advance settings, there are no tabs at all and controller is not showing the miners connected.
Furthermore, the User interface is totally different from what was posted by the reviewes. No update, upgrade, back up or anything at all!!
Now I am like a mad dog looking for an sd card reader to flash a new image.
No mining today.

You realize that the miner is static IP'd to 192.168.0.100? If you're using DHCP you'll have to Macgyver your setup to access the machine to change it's IP to match your subnet, or change it to DHCP. The GUI you first get when you boot up the RPi is not the usual interface (CGMiner) you see when you're operating. You don't need to update, upgrade, or anything else to get up and running. I went through a similar stress when mine first arrived...I had forgotten about the IP thing. Try going directly to 192.168.0.100 if you haven't already.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

... I didn't think the node made a difference...except to my CPU and bandwidth. Yes it does If you make a txn that isn't confirmed, your local node will send it out again, I think once every few hours or so ... (I'm not sure how often) Basically the issue is that standard bitcoind has a habit of throwing away transactions after a while if they aren't white-listed. Adding a txn via the RPC white-lists it i.e. creating the txn on your node. If you aren't using the node for your wallet, then get the txn from your wallet: On the wallet: bitcoin-cli getrawtransaction txnid....and the long hex output, go to your node and: bitcoin-cli sendrawtransaction longhex....That's great to hear as I'm running a full node and use the Core wallet exclusively also. I was going to post last night that I have never had any problems in getting my transfers confirmed no matter what fee I add. Additionally, my transfers are usually confirmed very quickly. Maybe that explains it. Thanks for the info! Come on BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

Wow looks like a lot of people have left the pool. We are still at 32 PH but only because luckyant jumped in with over 11PH otherwise the pool we be down to 21PH. I guess some people just don't have the nerves to ride out the slow periods. Grass isn't always greener.

Not sure what you mean, as luckyant only shows 298.58THs when I checked. Maybe my math is off?

I guess some people just don't have the nerves to ride out the slow periods. Grass isn't always greener. As Kano has said, Luckyant is usually only on here as a fail-over. But he looks to be gone now and we are still around 33PH. You and four other miners are holding our heads up with over 1PH. Thank you very much for mining here!! Looking at the user count, we are at 988. It has been roughly in that area for some time. It has at times in the last few months risen to over 1,000, but not that often. When we start hitting 3-6 blocks again on an average basis, the miners will return. (But then they may have missed the lucky streak, who knows.) Just wanted to say I appreciate your hash power on the pool and hope you will stick out the slow periods also. I am maxed out with my four miner at ~50TH. Mine on!!

Your right probably just a failover. He was there when I sent the message and the pool was only 32TH so I thought a lot had jumped ship. Like I said earlier we don't have plans on going anywhere and even more so with Kano's position in Segwits. We will continue to hash right here not signaling support for Segwits. I hope it fails and goes away.

Yeah, I saw that earlier when I was up in the middle of the night tripping over the cat... Luckyant was there with 10PH for a bit...but I figured it was a failover, as a bit later they were back to a more "normal" number. Nice to have it when it's here, however. My A7 is doing well, and I'm getting my anticipated 24TH. Now I get to tear down my living room/data center one more time since I finally have the airflow figured out. Bought a pack of cheap cigarettes (I gave up smoking 35 years ago) just to do a flow test. Crap...I remember when I could buy a carton for USD$2 at the PX...now they're something like $5-8 a pack. Sheesh. Mine on...

If you got the RPi from them, it should be flashed correctly, but it wouldn't hurt to reflash it.
