Changing the 'ramp' is not how PPLNS works, nor would it be appreciated by those already at the 5Nd.  If you want less 'ramp' time, increase the pool's hashrate by mining here!  Wink
You really missed the point and will be hoping to get 2 blocks in a month soon.. so sure, even if you solo mine 'the math works out' if you can live 7000 years or whatever
Fake news! Sad!
Really??

EDIT: In all seriousness, I don't have any animosity toward you. I appreciate differing opinions, and I wish us all success in mining--here of wherever you prefer. Best of luck!

He's not a miner. I believe he is just going around trashing mining now. He may have been a miner at some point, but his name alone leads me to believe he prefers (delegated)PoS to PoW.

He's more than welcome to comment as well, of course.

Your more than welcome to go back and search on my old account DPoS instead of fabricating

And even in this thread go back to my early posts a month or so ago to see how my main points of a small pool should still stay above 20 expected blocks a month so luck doesn't bite you in the ass...  but even Kano ignores it and acts like the math stays the same all the way down to one USB miner and 'everything works out'

what a bunch of douches

Jeez, Binance got 2 rewards from Kano website which are "0.00033964", "0.00039784" lol. My "so-called 5Nd" was ramping down from 9th, and was at 8.6 when they blocks were found. Each were registered at 1.55THs, 1.37THs. So, it took 3 weeks to get to 9Th, (not full 13.5!) but about a week to get down to nothing from there.

I'm sorry guys, the fact that nobody could calculate a simple reward calculation that a miner would get threw a red flag and people were just shut and up and mine and sh*t lol. And now that I see the results, it's either the system is broke or it's a pool that aims to benefit few big miners!

I really hope this doesn't get deleted, small time miners should know about the reality before they jump.

And one last time, don't tell me "if you were fully ramped" shit when you reply to this.

I'm not going to argue, but of course you obviously were not fully ramped. I say this because by your own admission you were ramping down. Had you stayed and been fully ramped you wouldn't see those numbers you are upset by.

I can only go on what my results have been, and they are right where they should be, when they should have been. So no issues with the pool for me. Sorry you didn't have the same experience but just because for whatever reason you had a bad experience or ran into some issues with your miner, doesn't mean every small miner (like me) needs to run for the hills. Not sure what your issue was but instead of trying to sound an alarm, why not reach out to Kano and figure out what the issue was. That seems like the most logical choice to me.

Also you have to remember that if the pool hashrate jumps up a bit, then the ramp down will be quicker. If you ramped up say at 25 PH/s pool hashrate and ramped down at 50 Ph/s hashrate then you would definitely have two completely different timelines there.

Here's the problem that I see what what you said.

3wks = 21 days.  Your mush have/had a single S9 as you say 13.5 Th/s is what you are expecting.

Lots of the S9's are having a problem where they drop one hash board - I don't know what the issues is, but if that was the issue, that would account for the 9Th you referenced.  If not, then  there has to be some other issue, but if you were really on the pool 24/7 for 3wks, there is no reason that you wouldn't have been 100% ramped up.

I jumped into this pool on 1/18, in 15 days I was fully ramped, it grew in pool size since then so the ramp timeframe shortened.   I added another 15Th/s to it on the 24th and that took 13 days to ramp.

I saw my first payout on the 600% block and my payout was based upon 100% of what I had on the pool, I saw my second payout 4 days later (maybe it was 5) it was also based upon 100% of what I had on the pool.  And my 3rd payout was a day later also based upon 100% of what I had on the pool.

The only way any of us can armchair quarterback what happened is for you to tell us when you joined the pool, with how much hash, were you on it 7/24 from the start, for what length of time and then provide the listing of your payouts.  From that we might be able to offer some suggestions.

Beyond that to just jump in and offer all the negativism, isn't very productive either for you or us.  There are a lot of really bright people here who know how this system works.  It may not be what you want to hear, but it will be based in some experience.

It's apparent that you have issues, in the multiple interpretations of the phrase.

Why not post your rewards table and your shifts so as to figure out the crux of your woes?  If you have some misunderstanding about how rewards are computed or even a bad board, wouldn't you want to know before enduring the same on another pool?

So that rifleman74 doesn't have to say it - if you don't actually want to take the time to understand the mathematical constructs the pool is built upon, then maybe this pool isn't for you.

So before I post any images, I've been working on just some small graphics to advertise our pool we are all dedicated to. Kano, do you want me to get with you privately before open posting these since it is your name involved? If you are good with it being posted openly I will post them for people to scope out and bash me for. (I don't do graphic design....I'm a nerd but not that kind of nerd)
