This can be a lot of work when your talking 500+ units, this is the reason I have rented 2000 square feet of office space (pictures coming soon!) and have been recruiting people from the forum to come work for me for about a week to ten days to get the first wave of shipments out.

The pay will be reasonable and every night at quitting time the pizza and beer will be plentiful. It stands to be a pretty good time Smiley

I despise flying.  But even this makes me consider how to get from PA to NY. Smiley

The order number is roughly twice the amount of bASIC orders at any given time, the numbers get jumped up in between actual orders all day long

This is for a number of reasons:

1) We have been selling and shipping products on this web site since May
2) People abandon and create fake orders every day
3) Credit cards get declined
4) People try to order stuff with guest accounts and don't follow through

I will run a report tomorrow morning and find out exactly how many bASIC units have been sold and let you guys know but typically it has kept pretty true with the rule that the amount of bASIC units ordered is roughly half of the order # count that you get when you place an order.

Chip or board shortage is not really an issue - the only thing that will slow things down is the fact that these have to actually be unboxed - firmware loaded - reboxed with the accessories, postage printed out and shipped.

This can be a lot of work when your talking 500+ units, this is the reason I have rented 2000 square feet of office space (pictures coming soon!) and have been recruiting people from the forum to come work for me for about a week to ten days to get the first wave of shipments out.

Just make sure you serve the beer AFTER the shipments are prepared and sent each day.  Cheesy

Sounds Good

I answered about 200 emails the last couple of days Its very possible I missed a couple (all apologies)

get them resent and at the top of my email list and I will make sure they get responded to in in the morning

Also Stay tuned for some REAL Power Usage statistics.

Other competitors have posted that they have their final electrical usage, but they dont say where they determined this figure from and offer no evidence or even evidence from a simulation.

It's easy to throw a favorable number out there, much harder to actually meet that number. My production value electrical usage numbers will be competitive and will be available very soon (as soon as I have them) and when I give mine I will post them with verifiable evidence.

See you in the morning, have a great night and thank you

Tom

Have you decided if you will be shipping the bASIC miner with the 12V barrel adapter?
Thanks a lot for your answer.

Excerpt

I had conference calls with the both the board designer and ASIC fabricator today. After doing some thinking I have decided to go with both a molex and DC barrel jack connector this will allow for a lot of different kinds of setups without using adapters - you can simply just choose one or the other. At this point the change was inconsequential and only added a few cents added cost per board, which would be cheaper and simpler than getting adapters.

/Excerpt

I believe 12 V is mentioned in an earlier post.

Molex & 12V adapter are perfect indeed. Let see what the power usage statistics will be...

I wish I could take time off to do this, sounds somewhat fun =p

Yeah,

if I were not so far away, Italy, I'd be applying in no time for this Smiley

I would be willing to help.  You guys just have to convince Tom to move the operation from NY to central Florida.

Just wondering if we have reached the cut off point for people receiving their orders in the first batch shipping yet?

Thanks and keep up the good work!
