Sorry to add to your workload Tom but I have a question about the DHL express shipping.  I'm in Canada (Vancouver) how much do you expect DHL express would speed up my orders? (I've ordered 3 units from you, 1 as unregistered, then I registered and ordered 2 more (each order seperate).

So I would need to send you $180 USD to upgrade all three, correct?  Is it worth it (how much faster)?

Thanks for your awesome customer service, I too started out ording BFL SC Singles (still have 1 on pre-order from August), then I read what you were saying, and what the BFL guys were saying, and like many others I was put off by the immaturity of your competition, so I ordered 3 of your units... besides, I expect my units from you that I ordered in October to arrive before my BFL SC from August, so it's a no-brainer on that front.

Thanks for your effort, it's paying off in case you weren't aware.  Wink

1x DHL Upgrade is enough for 2 units if it's a single order right?

I am one of those people that ordered on a guest account...
Would I have to be a pain and order DHL, then email you to combine the orders like I did with my last?

I do a lot of international shipping, and often use DHL. DHL does a pretty good job of getting things delivered quickly.

Hi Tom,

I requested to upgrade my bASIC 02 unit to a bASIC 01 unit before the pre-order cut-off time via email.
I assume you haven't gotten around to answering my email -- is the upgrade still possible?

Used it once Germany to my door in three days, no brokerage fee or taxes on a $150 item which they always seem to put on with the other carriers.

I ordered something from the US to Canada last year using DHL and one advantage is that their brokerage fee was around 10 dollars flat instead of a climbing one like with UPS.

I can also attest that DHL is the fastest service I have seen for international shipping.  I have literally ordered from China on a Friday, and had the goods in my hands here in the US on Monday afternoon.  It's usually not quite that fast, but close to it.

Myself, I wouldn't mind seeing a USPS Express Mail option for us here in the states.  Though I'm sure managing all those shipping upgrades will be an equally large pain as the DHL upgrades.

+1 for USPS Express for shipping within the states. To be honest I don't trust DHL as much as I trust USPS to not damage things

Newegg offers DHL as thier "low budget" option & it sucks.DHL gets the package, plays with it for 3-4 days then dumps it off at USPS for home delivery. Its taken up to 7 working days to get what UPS/Fedx delivers in 3 days.Thats here in the USA though,so internationally it may be better.

Due to requests by numerous customers I added DHL Express Shipping to btcfpga.com

It costs $60.00 make sure you login to the same account you used to purchase our miners with

It has been added to make things fair for international customers - some countries in the EU for example it can take weeks to months to get a USPS package through customs.

If are domestic you are welcome to puchase this as well if you want but it will only get it there 1-2 days quicker than Priority mail which you already paid for.

Also if you buy the DHL you will not be refunded the $30 you originally paid. I made the price only $60 because I already took into account the $30 you have already paid.

Ill BBL but am reachable by phone

Tom has upgraded his shipping profiles and has now offered his "time critical customers" the option of DHL Express. Lets see if BFL outdoes them by offering same day service. LOL....

Yeah, that's "DHL Smart Mail", which is their version of FedEx SmartPost and UPS Mail Innovations, and yes it sucks.

For fast international shipments though, DHL Express is the bees knees.  For fast domestic I prefer USPS Express if the package isn't too heavy.

What should I do about an order placed using guest checkout?

Would it be safe to assume that for $90 with DHL I can expect next day delivery to the UK?
Based on experience with my main business, no. Particularly if it gets held up by Customs.

I know UPS offer a service on their express packages whereby you can pay in advance for any customs fees (they take a copy of the invoice from the merchant when picking up the package and use that) and the package clears customs in minutes.

I have other online businesses and have shipped many things to nearly every continent.

DHL Express International is your very best option. There is no option that will be better.

One of the things that makes DHL express international a good option is for many countries they actually have customs agents on the planes that work on clearing items while they are still in the air.

Certain countries like Germany are very suspicious of packages coming from the USA, other countries like those in south America and asia its just a very long process when going through USPS because they hand it over to the local postal service which does not give two shits about USPS priority / express or anything else, it gets thrown in a pile with everything else and they will get to it , when they get to it.

DHL has their own customs departments in many countries and they do not hand them off to anyone else, it stays with them from pickup to delivery.

If you live in the USA it probably does not make sense to do the upgrade, maybe even Canada, if you see any quicker service at all it will be minimal but for those outside US/Canada you will see a HUGE difference in delivery time by using DHL Express International
