My Crown Wallet is syncing very slowly.. 10-30 blocks per minute

Is there any way to make it sync faster? It would literally take 2-3 weeks to sync at that pace.
Maybe you can download the blockchain and that might help.

I am looking for help with my throne, I can't get it working correctly. I keeps going missing.
I'm not even sure if i set it up correct, is there anyone that can help me.
is there a slack channel i can get and invite too?

Which OS?  Also, how many blocks have you synced already? First 100k might take an hour or so but the rest sync faster, on windows anyway.

Net. hashrate on CROWN network: 11374.09 TH/s

Together with 700 Thrones masternodes, the network is very well secured now

As much as I'm loath to say it, I'd put more stock in the 690+ nodes than the mining rentals.  Undecided

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

True, on the other hand merge mining has its place at this phase of the Crown project, we need to get tokens distributed to new community members, miners are playing this role fine  Wink for now  Grin

I've often wondered whether it is possible to make a profit with mining rentals.  I assumed not...

Not easily anyway

With merges and the right timing, yes it is; however, usually it costs more than it makes (that's why most that rent, do so for the "thrill" of mining).

I for one have wasted a huge amount of money for the thrill of mining.  People are weird.

I'm one of those weird guys that could have bought a 2nd house for the amount I've invested into rigs.  Embarrassed

My guess would be an estate sale or a secondary foreclosure. It's not really "what happened" to some neighborhoods like that, a lot of times people pay way too much for a 100 year old home to find out that, since it's so old, it's listed as "historic" and there's only so much they can do to it to make it something people would want (so they just stop paying the mortgage and take the credit hit). Some people need to watch less crap on the TLC channel. Tongue

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

Hi, in a hot/cold throne setup, does the hot node need to have its wallet unlocked at all times to get rewards (cold can be turned off after successful launch of throne)?  I'm trying to set up a throne in hot/cold because I heard if running a throne directly from hot node only, the wallet must be unlocked so it's not safe?

No, once your throne is started you can close your local wallet. There is no need to keep it unlocked either.

No, once your throne is started you can close your local wallet. There is no need to keep it unlocked either.

I see, I can close the local wallet (on Windows machine) anytime, and I should keep the hot wallet (on raspberry pi masternode in my case) locked at all times as well.  On the raspi I am actually running crown-qt so I can see the things visually.

Thank you.
