It baffles me that they think they would attract users with 3 month - 1 year - 5 year growth accounts. If NeuCoin is trying to cater to the "instant gratification generation" how is it expected for kids to keep NeuCoin for 5 years, if they don't even want to keep a picture for more than 5 seconds.
Actually I am unbaffled... it makes complete sense to me. With the pace they are going with, you probably won't be able to use NeuCoin for anything until 3 months from now, and they'll probably just be rolling out with some promised features 5 years from now (if they are still around).
I don't believe that this coin will survive the next 12 months, maybe not even 5 months. I mean, besides fundamental flaws in it's economy and obvious issues with the tech there is another problem: There are competitors with a lot more to show. The Neucoin-Team did all to let it seem big. But it's not the idea and not the development that is big in any way. All arguments are the "big names" and the money backing and big promises without any base. And, one competitor for example - far ahead: Maidsafe http://maidsafe.netThe base-idea is about decentralizing content and also the profit out of the conent --> content creator. That's the opposite to big companies like Google, Facebook etc. who make profit out of the content of us all. I'm not invested in Maidsafe, but in some way there will be something like that in the future. (And Neucoin, even if it would be a really professionell project is already obsolete, because it would like to be a centralized company which is obvious in the financial structure.) THE NEXT GENERATION SHARING ECONOMY http://blog.maidsafe.net/2015/10/05/advertising-privacy-and-a-libre-internet/They have high plans, and I don't know if they'll realize it or others, but tipping is also one of many possible functions: In this context, content creators could be a: blogger, journalist, artist, film maker, musicians, application developers, even end users with a social network account and a video camera. As my colleague Paige Peterson pointed out in an earlier post, the advent of crypto currencies like safecoin, with their almost zero transaction fees, enable almost instant micro payments and donations to take place. Bloggers could be paid or tipped by users as their posts are read and enjoyed. News websites could function in the same way, or they could charge a subscription for providing well researched and useful information. Potentially, artists and film makers (this also includes those sharing funny home clips on YouTube) could make use of the SAFE Network’s optional watermarking system to ensure that they are rewarded as the originator of content and continue to be rewarded as snippets of their song or film are built upon and used by or aggregated by others. Digitally recording the content creators (through an anonymous ID) of each piece of work will enable the network to manage and pay out rewards without human intervention and without corruption. http://maidsafe.net/pressThere are also ideas about: Games on maidsafe infrastructure https://forum.safenetwork.io/t/games-on-maidsafe-infrastructure/209Or... another example: Synereo:
Who is Synereo? Synereo has completely distributed server software running on a user’s local machine that is capable of creating an Internet network without relying on any central entity. On it, Synereo is developing a fully decentralized and distributed, next-gen social platform. Synereo’s mission is to provide a global solution for decentralized communications and content distribution, also allowing applications to tap into its decentralized social graph. Synereo’s smart contract mechanism and attention economy principles provide content creators with unparalleled benefits, facilitating content distribution and monetization devoid of middlemen. Learn more at Synereo.com. http://blog.factom.org/post/116727809969/synereo-factom-announce-partnershiphttp://www.synereo.comThey partnered with factom which I mentioned in an earlier post. I don't mention those projects to make PR for it. But if we compare those projects, and there are a lot more of that kind (the biggest one is most likely Ethereum which could be anything), we see philosophy and passion and highly skilled Developers. They also have big names behind it (first of all factom) and money backing. What do we see in Neucoin? Nothing (but greed)... it's just a copy-cat-headline without anything behind it. They're talking about easy-to-use but that's just an argument to build an awful QT to bind peoples money into the growth-accounts. They talk about "non-profit" and "transparency" but with every move they show the opposite. And I think, those who bought into it should think about it. There is nothing new in Neucoin, nothing which could be called innovative. Just some weird strategies to get peoples money. And it obviously doesn't work out, which is a very positive sign. ;-)

Revealing: "The issue is that the reason for this security measure hasn't been well documented, so we can only guess what Sunny King had in mind."They've worked 1 1/2 year on the project and they have to guess. I have no abilities to code and no deeper understanding of the tech, but I bet it wouldn't need too long that I would have some answers. I would ask in the peercoin-forum and/or pm Sunny King or open in BCT or a Dev I know... And they have to guess about the code they're using.

You will receive your NeuCoins within one month after the digital currency launches. Maybe you have to wait until later this month

and Nokoin keeps getting slaughtered... LOL Nokoin bag holders, how are you enjoying your 20% loss so far??? Now just wait till all those free survey coins are released and dumped, in like 2 weeks?? For your sake I hope Danny boy burns more of that presale btc on buy walls to keep the price from completely tanking Now that the coin has been released for a while, we can add yet another failed promise to the already long list of nokoin lies - Auctions for gift cards for NeuCoin - giving users a useful way to shop at brand name merchants like Amazon, iTunes, Google Play and Zynga from day one.
Who needs FUD when you've got the nokoin team shooting themselves on the feet all the time?? Yep, Neucoin was never about solving anyone's problem or creating value, its just opportunism. The only "value" created is the money they manage to extract from the people they call "trailer cash"

Now huey (the creator of the block explorer, a task the neucon regime is not able to accomplish) is encouraged to create a "faked" block explorer rich list and has to defend the reality. http://forum.neucoin.org/t/neucoin-block-explorer/1806/18

Gosh it's bleak in here, spent the last couple hours catching up the last week and a half of posts.
I wasn't suggesting a fake. But one that gave a better ideal of how coins are distributed in the available market.
Though it hasn't turned out as I'd expected, neucoin still has potential. As long as that is the case I will be a mod and speak in its defense. Though I am a bit concerned.
P.S. I did not run away from neucoin. I have a bit more dignity than to simply disappear. I was busy trailing in the mountains and now I'm back in my hometown getting back into the swing of things here. I've been away from my hometown awhile.

well to be fair my coins did finally arrive after 12 hours with an email explaining and i quote "You now have been credited your NeuCoins. Our system requires manual approval of outgoing transactions every once in a while, hence the delay. Sorry for the inconvenience." glad i got outta that mess without too much of a loss. live and learn

Despite the negativity I like what I am reading, I have seen Neucoin logo everywhere. Maybe it wont be all it wants to be but if the devs are holding all the coins they will want to pump it to sell. or are playing silent to accumulate more Probably worth buying as few if the price is right ..

that's standard POS if you have 2 inputs that are weighty enough you will have twice as much likelihood of staking. - which means if one stakes, then you still have an input that is ready to stake and should do so,
in a healthy staking network when your large input is divided into 8 inputs, those 8 inputs should give you roughly the same return over the same time frame as 1 input. obviously there will be differnt timing involved as all inputs will take random time to actually stakeedit. after some consideration i'm thinking i'm not talking about the same thing. because there wallet will end up staking once /45 days all the inputs will end up much smaller hence they will receive less compound interest due to their entire balance staking less often than possible. i think i agree with you i dont know of their motivations though, so perhaps either they are fine with not raping the staking or they are running different code the code in question is wallet specific and the blockchain couldnt care less about these values, so they may well be aware of the issues and running a different code. it would be easy to set the split time for anything you want. . i think you make it fairly clear what you mean in the last post on that thread.
