I'm surprised we're still compelled to argue with invalids here.

"...In other news there is a new white-paper that has been written for some time now and we are just cleaning it up to push to the public. All I can say on this for now (due to competition) is that we've bought all of the domains that are the title of the up coming white-paper, for example: http://chainblender.com :sunglasses:

Thank you for your support."

HOLY SHIT!
my english sucks but seems to me that John meant vanillacoin will have another name soon!
VERY NICE!
Just hope it's not something like icecreamcoin or caramelcoin

No, he's talking about the whitepaper, not the name.

is it profitable to mine this coin?

sure, if you can hold on for a while, or setup a very efficient FPGA farm, or maybe if you can run like 6 big GPUs from 1 mobo,    Wink

    for me, energy @ $0.20, means i wait ...

It's not profitable at all to mine by GPUs, unless you have very cheap energy costs and don't care about noise and heat.

Hate to be that guy again but I'm having trouble finding a simple answer in the FAQs or anywhere. I have sent 10k VNL to my wallet but am getting votecandidate: False as a return with no wallet address.

Are there any instructions on how to fix this? presumably it's a problem with the ip address.

Also, has anyone had luck with the Raspberry Pi wallet yet?

... and that depends on plan anyone have with his VNL. GPU mining for instant current price sell is not profitable, but if you mine to hold like most of us are doing and also combining that with VNL rewards from super peers than whole picture becomes totaly different.
The key question here is do you want more VNL or more BTC from VNL?

So, it's easier and quicker to buy directly from exchange.

True, but as you probably know all aspects of the coin are important.
In this case for example price can't sustainably rise with low hash rate.

I hold the view that no doubt, VNL is a great coin with the zerotime characteristic making it unique. But there is one thing which is a problem. The low hashrate signals that there is nobody expecting a substancial value increase.

There are many bagholders which do not show their willingness of a price increase, by maikng a pump.
Well, a pump could kill the coin, but a little uptrend, for example 500 btc volume would be nice and atracting new investors.

If I compare it to Clams, there is one major difference apart from the technical details and distribution mechanism.
Clams has this pretty well used just-dice website. Why not doing a similar website?

Another thing which would increase interest, would be margin trading at polo.

Which are the requirement at polo for adding it to margin trading?
