Hmmm, I wasn't able to get the wallet running on Ubuntu, I don't have the technical chops; simplifying this process should aid adoption. I'll get it to run on Windows tom and go from there. First impressions are by and large positive . Pablo. Easiest way to get it installed on Linux is to use Xcore's script. You can find it @ https://github.com/xCoreDev/vanillacoin-scripts . You will find instructions on how to utilize the script there on the page. Had already tried that, I couldn't get it to work. I'll just run it on windows tom . Pablo. Okie dokie. The windows build works fine. If you change your mind and need help though come into the irc room. The script is pretty easy and I'm sure with some assistance you could get it working. Will do, thanks . Pablo.

xCore and tom_ewok are also on the dev team. xCore does a little bit of everything and is on IRC almost every day.

Hey John, Since I have you here, I have 2 quick questions:
1. Do you have a plan as to how you will add more devs and stuff to your team and in what time line? I understand you are doing the whole thing solo? That can't be easy to sustain.
2. Do you have a plan for financing further development? I'm not sure how it's currently done, is it donations? I think finding a way for developement to finance itself is really what will make or break a coin project long term.
Thanks for your time and for creating this awesome community.
Pablo.
1. This project is easy to sustain and will only get easier as it quickly matures. Back in the days of Gnutella we all managed our projects solo and Gnutella is much more complex than blockchain technology. Bearshare had 1 employee and then came edonkey with Jed and his business guy but later with overnet they hired one of my friends to assist. So, small or solo teams outpace large teams because decision making remains frictionless. I'm not sure why these cryptos have large teams because ETH burned through 9 Million USD and now they are trying to re-code it in C++ while asking for more $$$. I think largely people are mislead because of the lack of actual real developers in the crypto-currency space make them think it requires a team. Peercoin is still developed by one person after all of these years and doing fine but only because it has a real programmer. Steve Jobs didn't need a team to build a computer, that came later. 2. This project doesn't need further financing. When I started the project I injected 200K of my own fiat into it as a round of Angel funding. Additionally, we have an MBA that contributes to the project weekly and an attorney on retainer. Lastly and only in case of emergency we have reserved 10% of the coinbase reward via incentive rewards for development purposes so in the rare event funds are needed we already have the solution in place however I cannot see this happening for the foreseeable future. Thank you for your support.

I strongly advice anyone to check my previous posts with the Peercoin chart. http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/peercoin/Nov 11 Peercoin price 166k, marketcap 14,1 million Nov 18 (~We are here) Peercoin price 171k, marketcap 23,6 million(thanks to the Bitcoin pump, the same scenario!) And then the big pump started. Compare Peercoin's marketcap and price growth dynamic with VNL's price and marketcap. VNL is following exactly the same scenario. Let's see what's going to happen in the next week or two

John did say when the time is right and the coin is mature he will dox himself, and that he is a P2P and Crypto veteran of over 20 years. So I hope that helps Pablo.
This is a rumor. Besides it's too risky without regulation in place for crypto-currency developers, pools, etc. I have to support my family and I am working in a gray area. I am the biggest risk taker amongst all VNL investors @ 200K USD invested so far in it's development so there is no room for additional risk. Additionally I see this as no more than a publicity stunt. Not a single coin that DOX'd itself has made a positive difference. For Dash I feel it's making things worse for Evan and the coin as a whole. Thank you for your support. i don't think anyone disagrees with this position. DOX'n a dev ... an anon dev is rather pointless. also as mentioned the State awaits with fanged teeth. (crime coding code that they can't decode) but keeping an active anon avatar is another thing. just be safe about method of access.

Yeah, because Satoshi is also pointless lol. We all know his story I think you took that quote out of context - he was saying doxing an anon dev is rather pointless, not just an anon dev is rather pointless...

I think VNL market is still in the profit taking phase from the previous pump. Whoever is behind it accumulated most coins at 2-6K prices during several months. So the price is still higher than they bought and they can sell for profit until there is any buy support above the mentioned level. When the price falls below it a new accumulation phase can begin. In this case we'll see a few months of range or slight uptrend and maybe after that there'll be another pump. So I'd rather compare the VNL chart to DASH. Of course, feel free to disagree or call FUD

Accumulation phase has been going on since 15k sat... or 4 cents us
The volume of sells with the continuous support of btc holding the price for maximum effect supports my thoughts.
I think you are confusing accumulation phase with acceptance phase
