I'm afraid to propose to limit the rate of production, but it seems there is a throw of VNL from major miners.

i doubt it's the miners who are dumping. more likely large buyers with an agenda ...

Has anyone posted a FAQ for incentive node for noobs/extremely extremely lazy people?
Tom_Ewok made a pretty good guide of how to set up a digital ocean vps here: https://talk.vanillacoin.net/topic/218/how-to-run-a-vnl-incentive-node-on-a-vpsHere's some information from John: http://vanillacoin.net/wiki/Technologies/Node%20Incentives.mdYou should have a unique ip for each vanillacoin client you want to receive node incentives to. If you want to set one up on your own computer: Step 1: When Vanillacoin is off, open config.dat and set "proof-of-stake": "0" (instead of 1) and save. Make note of the vanillacoin port number (you can also see port number by typing getinfo in console) Step 2: Open your Vanillacoin port (forward the port on your router and allow it through your software firewall). Use getincentive rpc command to make sure it says network: ok Step 3: Send over 10k VNL to your client's default address in 1 transaction and keep using the getincentive rpc command until your collateral shows and votecandidate: true. It could take up to 15 minutes, but sometimes takes far less. Client must be unlocked or it won't ever say true. After it says true, you may then lock your wallet Step 4: Leave your client on 24/7

Hi BCT ! Additional GUI features are planned for this Q4/2015, like first translations. If you want to help us with that part, please check https://talk.vanillacoin.net/topic/234/vanillacoin-translationsYou can reach me here, on Vanillacoin Forum, or on Freenode if needed. Thanks in advance, and have a good day/n8. Regards, xCore UP! "Hi ! If you want to help us to translate Vanillacoin, you can do it from : https://www.transifex.com/vanillacoin/Atm there is only the Android project online, others will come next. The best would be 1 translator & 1 reviewer by language. Thanks in advance ! You can reach me here or @ Freenode #vanillacoin if you need. xCore"

It must be miners (or predominantly a single miner - volume is tiny) that are cooking the books dumping at market. I am monitoring trex and don't see much change in the top 50 wallets so coins are obviously being sent and insta-dumped at the exchange. Maybe it's arb bots and something else is happening at poloniex? Let me know thoughts...
Anyhow, I would say that this is a player who wants to test the resilience of the coin i.e. will JC kill the project if the price gets shot to pieces? Altcoin test 101. Unlike other coins where the devs are most vocal during hype (and strangely stop posting after a market dump) JC continues to update and assist the community. I don't think there is any cause for concern there. I suspect that if we weather this storm that it can only attest to the strength of both the coin and the community going forward.
The price is pretty shocking and the support even more so, but then you look at what it would take to get us back to 30k and it's not a lot.
I urge traders to put the modafinil away, it's probably spliff and chill time for a while...
