Probably, yes. I highly doubt they'll just disappear... I think having balls now and loading up on shares in the panic will be quite profitable.

Probably PT shares will be xferd to direct. edit: trades still occurring, despite this " Effective immediately, in conjunction with this release, trading will be halted," ??

Something is wrong with the site too, I have a tiny balance, but it does not show up where you buy. And I had an ask which is gone hmm... Not trusting site enough to send more btc into atm, lol damnit. Edit: it works now, if you have this problem,go to account -> settings and enter a share withdrawal address...

I gotta be honest with you guys, I am considering buying at 1.2. I delta-hedged some options around 1.3 and thought I'd gotten a great deal. Nope.
I think I might wait for 1.0, on second thought. Who knows what's gonna happen to these shares...

Anybody knows if the transfer to direct shares still goes through? I don't want to sell anything in that moment, just find the best way to keep the shares.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's. This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

I expect your shares will get converted to directs automatically as part of the orderly shutdown of the exchange. It could take several days to organize, though. burnside will have to work something out with each company listed on the exchange, which will take time.

Many shares were lost when this happened with GLBSE. I'd suggest to put at least part of your investment to a safe place.

While I'm still trying to set up my public withdrawal address (got error 524 four times in a row already), could someone please post a link to burnside's announcement of WTF is actually happening to BTC-TC?

Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. There is no spoon. Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself. 1CdVTkA288cd3m1jkdqPjUfhQ5ebei8gVT

I'll answer a bunch more of these questions tomorrow, but I think these are important to address quickly: First. The asset issuers have what they need to continue after the trade-freeze. I am not selling my assets because I hold assets with issuers I felt like I could trust. In other words, think about what you're doing before you do it. Second. If you're trying to withdraw and it's locked, please make sure you've plugged in your address on this page first: https://btct.co/account?tab=tab2 We have everyone's funds, though I am going to have to pull some funds out of the offline wallet tomorrow I am almost certain. Third. ASICMINER-PT shareholders will be fine. We have lots of options.Cheers.

We'll just all end up with direct shares and liquidity will be crap (no way that I go to bitfunder myself, as there is then no way to get out of it), but it's not the end of the world. Plus, Vycid happily exercised his options and will now join the good bull side of the force.
