There is a fairly large sell of shares going on in Havelock, today and yesterday.  When this happens I figure it is due to some reason that has not been made it to the general public yet.  Anyone want to help an outsider out?

Are dividends expected to crumble with Rockminer taking over the hardware sales now?  The chip looks good, it looks like mass production is underway, why are so many people selling?  I suppose it could be an aberration, but definitely seems like a trend right now on Havelock.

edit: ya maybe I'm over-reacting. maybe it was only a 100 shares. still... things seem to be trending down when I'd imagine they'd be trending up.

Aw I see, thanks.

I would have thought it would be the other way, that the share price would be going up as bitcoin is worth less USD -- but I made the error of thinking of the situation logically when people are fundamentally more prone to illogical behavior in markets.  What you said seems more likely the case than my estimation of it...

Quite excited by these low BTC prices. I've not seen it written down anywhere but i'm assuming Gen 3 sales will be priced in dollars and paid for in BTC.   Huh

If this is the case? I'm looking forward to some nice dividends in the next few months and hoping the exchange rate stays as low as possible for the bulk of the Gen 3 sales.  Shocked

Alcheminer is a little overvalued imho, their numbers also seem to be a little off. 40% stake for $11M at $400/BTC

Also BTC is at a sitback currently and I am very bullish about exchange rates. What will happen if BTC jumped to $600? That is a minimum of falling from 0.14BTC to 0.8BTC

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

It seems, ROCKMINER purchased some sub-standard electronics and can't test the chip yet  Sad
http://blog.rockminer.com/#!/2014/04/11/Rockminer_update_of_11_April

Remember, this most likely isn't a fault of AM's chip itself!

I should have gotten into Bitcoin back in 1992...

Propably they got some fake parts. They look exactly as the normal ones but they don't work like the original ones.

a "large sell" is actually a "large buy" if you look at it the other way around Wink

Which is kind of ridiculous... Those parts are very cheap anyways and... well.. why?

Fine an opportunity to average down. I don't know where this expectation of AM showing a profit so soon is coming from. Look at those test rigs. They're built for a single asic. Not commercially viable. Did anyone think that testing BE200 performance was a collaborative effort with Rockminer? Possibly and quite likely this is the stage the ASIC is at for testing.

Getting fakeparts is not difficult even in the AirForce One were some fakeparts. Why they sell fakeparts? I don't know.

It is cheaper to make something that looks like it is suppose to do something correctly than to make it actually do something correctly.  Short answer: money

It's been a bit quiet in here lately.

Is everyone fed up, or is everyone sitting on the edge of their seat waiting for performance numbers?

Canary, how are the tests with your sample chips going?  Just looked through your post history and did not see much.  In fact... what are you doing with chips at all?  You were a very successful re-seller... are you getting into board manufacturing?  Or are you thinking of somehow trying to re-sell chips... I know several people got samples, but I only have a window into what rockminer is doing.
