1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]TrollCoin A must have for every Troll! Come get your Trolls you Trolls! on: February 25, 2014, 03:22:46 PM
I've found miners are more receptive towards a coin if you pre release the wallet as a passworded zip. Just a thought.

Bit late for that, wouldn't you say?  Wink

I'll be very interested to see what happens to txfees when a big exchange lists us.

On one hand, it should have happened a long time ago.

On the other, exchange owners can't mine themselves a hefty amount before pumping up the price by listing it (*cough*Cryptsy*cough*), so I don't know about that.

Cryptsy would have to buy in, or kindly ask publicly for some PMC.  Wink

EBT is worth looking at. Some..interesting things happening with that coin.
1007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin With a Fast Distribution *9 Exchanges on: February 24, 2014, 09:19:01 PM
You guys are missing the point; even if there are merchants, what is the fucking incentive to use mint if they are in your wallet generating interest?

What's the incentive of spending money rather than leave it in the bank accruing interest? Apart from the lower interest rates, a currency will attract both spenders and investors. The PoS, if nothing else increases distribution.
1008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]AKC will belong to community. - NO PREMINE , FAIR - 900MIL on: February 24, 2014, 09:14:35 PM
I sold 2 million to a regular poster in this thread.
Right now I have 1 million for sale.

Low price of .04 BTC, or .035 if you belong to the AKC devteam because DOWN WITH MAX KEISERRRRRR !!!

Pm me.

And at the same time you're lowering the price. Brilliant!
At this point you did more damage to my akc than keiser did to my btc.

You'll never stop lowballers. The premise of the coin is fair launch and fair mining. The coin has accomplished that. The rest is whether or not the cryptocommunity accept it.

Hey with regards to Musent, I hope the rest of the Premine community, as it is, will not damage this coin as it really does have potential

It was Musent's to do with as he pleased, but in deciding to keep them entirely for himself he's turned his back on the community and decided to be greedy.

There were bound to be a few bad apples in the bunch. Just the way it goes when you have a distribution model like this.

Wow, I get busy in real life and my name gets drug through the mud lol.

First off, I'd like to say thank you to Nullu, ctenc001 and the dev for making judgments on me while I was away. I do have 2 jobs and a family outside of this coin.

From the beginning of this project, I was one of the first adopters and supporters for this coin. My original wallet address has 50.2 PMC in it currently, so by no means am I a hoarder. You can check for yourself here and read my past posts about giving a lot away from post ~600 and on: http://cryptexplorer.com/address/1NuD6pJjZnAoHzBPcoSM5dJTtP9TCV6725. Hell, I gave something like 100 PMC to someone for naming a song's lyrics and each time I would give away PMC, I would ask that person to pass some on to a random address. Of course, I couldn't make that person do any of that and my only hope was that they did pass along some PMC. So, with that address, I have given over 950 PMC out to the community, which to me, is a lot of PMC to give out. With that regard, Nullu, it looks like you have a balance of well over 3,400 PMC: http://cryptexplorer.com/address/1MBbDbo7koEA9TPnRT25BYfEp2s6Wu1BVM. So, to call me a hoarder and greedy is simply ironic, yes?

I've read every post about the faucet that I built and each one of you (Nullu, ctenc001 and the dev) have stated that I was given 15k PMC for a bounty, which is true. 50k PMC was originally put aside for the faucet. I stated on the main boards (http://preminecoin.cryptotycoons.com/forum/index.php?topic=8.0) to the dev and the community that I was building a faucet. I was told by the dev that the faucet had to be "new" and not a copy/paste job, to which, I worked my ass off on and hosted it, on my own. Before I could finish, I was given a deadline of January 29, there was another faucet that came online on January 26. It was a copy/paste job and I was in discussion with the dev about why I was working on a faucet that he knew about and then was giving the bounty to another person that basically broke his rules of what he wanted in the faucet. He said the person who built the faucet was willing to share the bounty with me and that's where the 15k originated from. I never knew the 15k bounty was for the faucet. A bounty, to me, is when you do work and receive a reward. What happened to the other 35k bounty? Where is that PMC? Why is it not being questioned about? According to this: http://blockchain.premineco.in/address/1MubvaxLtBSEi6SWRbb8my8Q5ST4oEG1fs there has only been 3345.5329097 PMC distributed to the community and now has a 0 PMC balance.

The faucet still has a favicon that shows bitcoin and not premine.

The faucet bounty discussion can be read here: http://preminecoin.cryptotycoons.com/forum/index.php?topic=8.0

Please appreciate from my point of view, you moved the coins, the faucet went down and you more or less vanished. Then the moment I make a public post about it you show up.

The other faucet uses cold storage from what I have been told and is still functional.

My balance actually exceeds 3,400, and the community is well aware of it. Don't try to turn this around on me. I've been upfront about my intentions from the start, and I've never hid my intentions from anyone. I have 3k set aside given by the community, and a further 2k of my own coins, leaving me with 5k of my own coins.

You have been making posts for almost 2 weeks now, so for me to "show up after you make a public post" is asinine. You even saw a buy wall of 13k and thought it was me. I'm not turning anything around on you but don't come blasting at me, assuming something you know nothing about.

Where have I said you put up a 13k buy wall? Source please.

Fact - the faucet stopped working
Fact - you moved the coins
Fact - you stopped posting
Fact - you came online twice in the week since I messaged you and did not respond

You can try to turn this around on me all you want, but I have nothing to hide. You haven't really explained anything.

They are your coins, but people were under the impression you were using the majority of them for the faucet. Is that wrong, then?

Fact - the faucet stopped working Yes, the faucet is down and I will get it back online. I did not know it was down.
Fact - you moved the coins Yes, I moved the coins. It was a bounty. If you don't know what a bounty is, then I'm sorry. Nowhere did I ever say I would keep these all for myself or that I would fund the faucet with them.
Fact - you stopped posting Yes, I stopped posting because I got swamped at work. So, what? Doesn't mean anything.
Fact - you came online twice in the week since I messaged you and did not respond I did not know I had a time frame of replying to you or the board. I read that message last night before I went to bed.

I'm sorry if it feels like you are being put on trial here, but the faucet went down, the coins got moved to a different wallet, and we hear nothing for weeks. You have to concede that, even with legitimate reasons for these actions, it's going to cause great concern to the community. I have no problem with you holding the bounty, but many, including myself, were under some assumption that at least some of that bounty would be used for the faucet. I will go back and review the posts in this thread of that.

The bounty was for a faucet. The faucet does not function. Again, only after I publicly expressed my serious concerns did you respond. Whether coincidence or not, nothing about this situation looked particularly great, and I won't apologise for raising my concerns. I had to say something to get you to respond. I'm sorry if you felt it a slant on your personal character, but to anyone from the outside it looked bad, you have to realise that.

They're yours to do with as you please. Totally agree with you there. But I doubt I am the only one here who feels a bit off about the entire situation.

Cryptohunter has already questioned his claims, and I've also sent Cryptohunter a PM. annpaol, for lack of a better word, is an idiot. He never backs up any of his wild claims. Just spreads FUD and ignorance.

Not that I need to justify my actions. I've been here.
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ★★ EBT Coin - PoW/PoS (30 days) - Get it while it's hot!! ★★ on: February 24, 2014, 04:39:13 PM
There's really no need to hype EBT. The coin speaks for itself. I'm still mining it, and I could be mining far more profitable coins. I never mine to make a loss, so I do consider EBT to be hugely undervalued, hence why I'm throwing my hashes at it.
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about PMC coin ? on: February 24, 2014, 04:02:19 PM
I don't understand the rationale for mining this coin for tx fees. I can't imagine it's anywhere close to profitable. So basically the coin is running on hype and charitable miners?

I'm throwing about 30Gh/s at PMC and have been so for 1 week.  I've mined 25.5 PMC in that time which would trade at Poloniex for 0.00969 BTC (at 0.00038).  I dunno if that's good or bad, but there it is.  Personally I think that in a month that 25.5 PMC is gonna be worth 3-4 times as much BTC.

This mining thing is very important !

Remember to all that PremineCoin aka PMC is mineable, also if only for transaction fees.

In a way it actually simulates high difficulty and prevents anyone instamining PMC, so you can be sure your PMC won't devalue if a whale comes along to try and mine as much as they can. They'll just end up creating lots of empty blocks and get very little in the short term, and in the long term it wouldn't be very efficient for them as miners support the network and keep the txfees rolling in.

I hope Poly Town has sufficient fire service coverage, but if it gets too out of control you could always open the cupboard to Narnia.

Just a little something that may help you guys out a bit from the Col team.

You are likely to see some drop in price from miners until around 1 month of being strictly POS. Colossuscoin is 100% POS since and December and it's awesome, you don't have to worry about the miners killing the value of the coin. Once fully POS, staking will move the blockchain so I would suggest depositing small amounts into wallets over the staking period so there is more coins staking periodically, we have started this and will see the results over the next couple weeks.

You may also see some connectivity issues with Cryptsy once POS only so if Cryptsy hits their fraud protection and takes their wallet offline and it's only POS, it will dramatically slow down the transaction times. If you fight with Cryptsy over any issues that happen they do have it within their right to delist your coin because they can't work with the community. I have talked with Bit John and Mullick extensively over the last month and they do a good job.

Remember, in a new technology there may be issues from time to time so it's all about how you handle the situation so you build bridges.

Just thought I'd put in my 2 satoshis

Good luck Mintcoin, wishing you the best from all of us at the Colossuscoin team.

All well and good, but Col is still not fixed yet, so it's difficult to be excited about Colossuscoin until the minting is fixed.

I'm sticking with EBT for now. PoS coin, rare, and it's a few days away from starting PoS minting.
1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ★★ EBT Coin - PoW/PoS (30 days) - Get it while it's hot!! ★★ on: February 24, 2014, 03:42:15 PM
Should start getting some minted coins by the end of the week.

A question though; 250 million coins - someone said this is the PoW coins and does not include the PoS coins, but that doesn't make sense to me. How would you know the difference? How would the wallet? Surely all EBT is able to mint and that 250 is the total cap?

All coins must be able to mint, so it's either 250 million max or 10% annual inflation.

Which is it? I don't feel this has been explained too well.
