1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How's your gambling experience right now? on: May 09, 2023, 03:32:49 AM
This is the time when you really appreciate the roles of altcoins in gambling. The likes of Dogecoin (Doge) and Litecoin (LTC) and stablecoins are great options especially when spending relatively small amounts for gambling. I feel like we are going back in time with this rising Bitcoin fees. We're moving backwards. We're brought back to the time when the strongest argument against Bitcoin is its fees. Now it is still the same, if not worse, thanks to Ordinals.
Indeed. If you still want to gamble but high fees of Bitcoin are hurting your funds, don't fret because many casinos are accepting altcoins for deposit/withdrawal with low fees. Hence, this is not a problem at all, you can still gamble anytime you want by using altcoins of your choice.

In my case, it's been a while since I last play. Good thing I checked my email because 2 casinos where I (often gamble before) sent me a promotional bonus (free spins and free chips) that I can use to play again on their sites. It's their way to attract me back on playing so I'll grab this offer while Bitcoin fees are quite high.
1002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had a time traveling machine, then? on: May 09, 2023, 01:52:30 AM
If you could travel back in time today, what would you do?
Of course I will change my decision of selling my Bitcoin at a low value, now that I know the price will skyrocket. But we can't turn back time, it's all in the past that we should not dwell. Back then, who would have thought that Bitcoin is a gem? I admire the early investors who managed to hold their Bitcoin for years and able to witness the bullrun.

Anyway, it happened already so instead of looking back on the mistakes you committed, much better to look forward on what the future holds. Because it's not late to hold some Bitcoin if you don't want to have regrets once again.
1003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Expect Consistent Winnings From Gambling - A Lesson I Learnt. on: May 08, 2023, 08:48:04 AM
Gambling is not a business, and neither should you ever take it as a day job, in reference to this thread - it is likely impossible to make a consistent winning from gambling, there are day you win, even much more than $100, and there are days you will lose it all, to make a consistent $100 or more every day in gambling is a mirage, wishful thinking that might never happen.
Indeed. Don't quit your day job for the reason you chose gambling as your main source of income believing you can earn each day by winning consistently. Those who think that way don't know how gambling works to be treated as their source to earn. This is the problem of some gamblers who experienced to win decent amount and decided to be a gambler full time.

Gambling is not a job and should not be treated as one. If you want to gamble, do it for fun because it's more satisfying to win if you less expect it.
1004  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅ NowDice.com 🎲 Low House Edge 🎲 NO KYC! 💰 Jackpot 💰 on: May 08, 2023, 05:08:51 AM
Welcome to the forum.

I just created an account and read your terms and conditions. No kyc is attractive for gamblers to play on your site because it is one of the main concern of the gamblers who wants to remain anonymous  while playing.

A 0.5% fee is applied by the payment processor for deposits, and a 0% fee for withdrawals. Users are responsible for paying any applicable blockchain network fees (gas fees) associated with their transactions. Currently, both the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and the Polygon (MATIC) network have the lowest gas fees.

In that case, something is wrong with your payment processor.
I don't know if you have adequately tested your deposit process, but here is a concrete example:

Let's say I want to deposit $50 worth of bitcoins. This is what I get when I access the deposit page:

And when we convert that amount back into USD according to the current exchange rate:

(thanks to preev.com)

So, can you help me understand where that extra 44% ($22.29) difference went?
This one really needs an explanation from op. Imagine you're not playing yet but your money is already reduced right before you receive it to your account. Can you clarify this op? So we can understand how it happened.
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: May 08, 2023, 03:20:48 AM

Hmmm interesting, "people actually depend on gambling to make money " this is a statement I don't like seeing but notwithstanding some Hippocrates feel they can actually make steady money from gambling where as the case is different meaning gambling actually makes money from you on a daily basis. I hate to see people taking gambling as a way to escape from your financial problems because has made many folks become debtors but that I believe happens to only folks that see it as a must do affair #addiction

Just as much as you dislike it, I don't think anyone is fully in agreement that a gambler should see gambling as a means of escaping their financial problems. Gambling can instead contribute to their financial problems, like being in debt, just as you have mentioned. Although some have taken the risk and got favored with a heavy win, some people have also taken a big risk in gambling, which has landed them in big trouble. Last week I read a thread (I think it was on the Nigerian local board) where a mother and her son were sentenced to prison for gambling off a huge amount of money that was not theirs. Also, there have been a lot of stories on the gambling discussion board about people who have landed themselves in more trouble because they gambled with money that was not their own.
Because gambling is not the solution if you're struggling financially. Some gamblers thought it is the answer for them to get an instant huge money, but unfortunately it's only possible if you're lucky to win. I also read about that story you mentioned and it's just one of the worse that gamblers can do because of their addiction.

It is fun to gamble especially if your main desire is not win but to entertain yourself. But this can change if you didn't limit yourself on when to stop and let anger (because of losses) control you to commit a decision that you might regret later on. So always be a responsible gambler who have discipline when playing if you don't want gambling affect you negatively because of your behaviour when you gamble.
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you love and enjoy taking risk? on: May 08, 2023, 01:39:18 AM
Some months a go, I was thinking altcoins may favour me since bitcoin is still unpredictable. I decided to invest my last cash at hand on luno, Eth, buying babe doggy, peg token and tron. I don't really understand how this things works when I bought it was all gloomy without bitcoin but in less than a week my money dried up.

What future do we really hope for altcoins without bitcoin?
Since you think BTC is unpredictable, so you know also altcoins will be definitely risky and unpredictable. I think you should avoid meme coin as like BabyDoge, don’t put large amount of money in such coin also luna isn’t good investment. You can buy only BTC & hold it long term without risk.
Low risk has low gains. But imho OP is a newbie and doesn't just know that altcoins can be unpredictable, especially those OP listed. I fact i find it weird that anyone would think altcoins would be a sure bet if btc has not decided a direction yet. If anything alts are dangerous investment if btc is not looking good. And what it sounds like is that OP invested these on these just before 2023. So btc was really struggling then.
There's nothing wrong if you want to diversify and add alts in your portfolio but don't allocate huge amount in meme coins. It's true that you can gain huge once the price soar high since the higher the risk means huge gains when it comes to meme and shitcoins. But it is not advisable to invest especially if you're planning to hold for long term.

It's best to choose Bitcoin and established alts then buy meme coins with the amount that you can afford to lose and see if you can take profit at the right time. Nevertheless investing is risky so once you invest on the specific coin make sure that you did a research to have an idea on what to expect, that's how it should be.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: May 07, 2023, 09:59:24 AM
Slot games are based on luck. If your luck that day is not good, you should quickly leave it. If not, you can get a bigger loss. And you usually won't notice it when you press the Spin button. And even better if you have a money limit to gamble with so you won't break it.

If we can think positively and accept our losses very well, so we will always be aware if we lose more than 100 spins, then we should look for new games to get luck in other games. Unfortunately, this is a difficult thing for players who have inconsistent mentality when gambling. From initially only targeting to win a few bucks, but he forgot about that target until he getting lost. The lost will bring him to unhealthy playing anymore, his playing plan was no longer carried out and he chose to follow anger while playing.
If you have no discipline and let your emotions control you then the tendency is you'll continue to play by pressuring yourself and the slot game to win and somehow recover what you already lost.

When you play slot but no luck after many spins, it would be better to switch game or stop playing already to prevent further losses. Because if you stay longer, there's no guarantee that you'll finally hit a high multiplier (that's also what I thought before). Hence, set a limit on when to stop not based on how many spins you already did but based on your budget for that particular slot game.
1008  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: May 07, 2023, 07:43:55 AM
It's more exciting to join now because of the additional winners plus a chance to qualify for the free spins. Roobet is so generous to the participants and also thanks to Hhampuz for the initiative to have these changes (additional winners and free spins) for the this art contest.
Free spins will help to build stronger bonds between Roobet and art contest participants.

Rather than taking money from the art contest and use it somewhere else, they will have free spins to play at Roobet and explore more about the casino. It is helpful for them to get more ideas for their future art works too. I believe that if they spend more time on Roobet, even only with free spins, they will have more creative ideas for their arts as they will understand about more games on Roobet.

I think it's a good idea but probably will just attract users if it remains mixed including a money prize too
I don't know, just my opinion on that
if it was just free spins I think less people would join
what do you think?
Free spins like rewards may create thoughts like the site is giving the rewards but they won't let the users any real money with that even though it isn't entirely correct but it may create a bad name which is against the purpose of promotions so giving away the real money to the winners is the right thing and I noticed since the last contest the rewards are directly going to the winners wallet not to their casino account which shows the contest should not affect the users convenience meanwhile they can do whatever they want because they won it.
Why it can create a bad name? Free spins are a good promotion to attract more participants to join and of course this can have a positive impact on Roobet. As an art contest participant of Roobet, I like this new changes because it means you have a chance to gain something even you didn't win a cash prize.

It's a good idea actually that they add free spins as consolation prize because it can encourage the artist to create an artwork and do their best to get a spot for the list of winners. As I have said before, this is way better than to get nothing so I appreciate it even if I won't win.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or gaming sites on: May 07, 2023, 05:24:34 AM
I had never heard anything about these services and yet there seems to be people willing to risk their deposit on it.
I'm not familiar with these sites too and this is first time I heard about it. I checked the links that op mentioned but I didn't see anything that can attract me to play. I still prefer the gambling sites that can be seen here on the forum because it is also the recommended sites of many gamblers here.

Anyways, most people just needs to stick to reliable services, if they want to play safe, in my opinion.  Tongue
That's true. Why risk your money on gambling sites that you're not familiar with? If there's plenty of options here and you can be certain that it is trusted and not a scam platform.
1010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online casino always take risks? on: May 07, 2023, 03:31:36 AM
Yeah I agree, before you can establish a casino you also need to have a good amount of capital when we say good amount meaning to say that you can cover all the marketing expenses aside from securing the amount to make a payout. It's not easy as there are competitions that you need to consider and those possible whales who can bring your business down.

With that concept, having more patrons to use your service means that you can generate profits in the long-run, good services with developed trust from gamblers will allow your success.
Years ago it was still possible to start a casino with a relatively low amount of money and succeed, but since then things have changed in a dramatic way and this is no longer true, anyone that wants to start a casino not only needs to have a team dedicated to protect their customers from hackers, they also need top notch customer support, fast servers, many bonuses and to promote themselves heavily over the internet, and not a single one of those things is cheap.
Well now when we take into consideration the creation of a casino you have to know what you are getting into, because it is not easy at all, now, if the person who wants to create the casino has a lot of money, there is not that much of a problem, in As far as I am concerned, if a person has a capital that can withstand the losses that a whale player can generate, then everything is fine, because security and everything can be guaranteed with the best devs and hiring specialists in it, I consider that this is what It is a very reckless action.

but unlike before that it is not required to have huge money , what i mean is that if you are just have a small capital you can now start a casino which lets say your intentions are legit but right now if you make a casino you'll end up losing because you dont have  enough funds to do advertisement , unlike before just post it in social media and forums then there are gamblers will try it. That is why if you have funds even if you ain't knowledgable then you can still make a casino by hiring staff on it.  That is why money is very powerful.
The current situation is different compared to before since many casinos now are existing and they're competitive. If you want your business to stand out then you need more money to advertise your project on various platforms to spread awareness. Promotions and bonuses are also necessary in order to attract the gamblers to try the casino. This is only possible if you have money, the more the better, it is indeed powerful.

If you get the trust of your gamblers because of the service and perks of playing on your casino then they will become a loyal players and that's one factor for a casino to succeed.

1011  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: May 07, 2023, 01:49:16 AM
I plead guilty for not reading some of the bonus rules and some casino conditions and I have paid dearly for it, it has been hard for me to leave the money and not comply with the conditions, because if I had read before grabbing that bonus the things would have been very different, this means that every time we start to see every detail of a bond there is always something that does not add up to us and there, if we choose whether it is convenient or not, this has happened to me many times, and I have Quite a few things to do, a bonus or promotion that has been launched by rollbit is different, this casino does not abuse the terms and conditions of bonuses like other casinos.

It's not easy to realize that we've done something wrong, and I appreciate you when you can realize that you did wrong before. Let it be past, because there is no point in regretting it. Make things like this an experience so we don't make the same mistake in the future.
It's normal when we make mistakes, because we are also human beings who may intentionally or unintentionally make mistakes. It's just that we don't let the mistakes we make again in the future, that's something that is not allowed.
The best practice is to learn from your mistakes instead of repeating the same thing and putting blame on others for the same. There are some people who try to put fake allegations against casinos but they themselves are at fault or say have lost money but can't handle it so those who accept mistakes and learn from it will never fall for such things again.
Many gamblers are playing but can't accept their losses so they're blaming others for what happened, and in most cases they put the blame in the casino. Aside from reading the casino's tems and condition to become aware of the rules, it's also important to prepare yourself for the possible consequences if you gamble your money because losing it is likely to happen. So incase you're not lucky to win, it's not hard to accept the outcome because you know the risk.

Anyway, meme coin PEPE is now available for deposit on Rollbit.
1012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - what is your plan when we reach $100k? on: May 05, 2023, 07:48:20 AM
I do not have much Bitcoin currently but I am planning to convert a lot of the profits I make in my altcoins during the bull run into BTC which I will then hold till the 2028/29 bull run.

I expect Bitcoin to reach at least $100k at the peak of the next bull run, possibly $150k.

Just wondering what we are all planning to do when Bitcoin does reach $100k - are you selling or are you holding till the 2028/29 bull run?
I originally plan to sell my Bitcoin when the price already reached $100k because that's a decent profit already for me to enjoy. I waited for years and remain patient even many people are spreading FUD that if you're not firm with your decision you might get influence to give up because of your worries.

But now I have no concrete plan yet on what to do incase the price reach another ATH. Because I still want to hold longer to see if the price can surpass the $100k value which is not impossible to happen on the next halving. So I think I will continue to hold until i'm contented with what I gain.
1013  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Early Profit can be misleading. on: May 05, 2023, 04:31:00 AM
To some extent I agree with you , but this is when you've become over excited or overreacted about the profit , for me early profit is used to be an encouragement to actually play safe than hitting a lose at the first place, beginning with a lose can do more harm than good as a trader and lot of people quits at this point, because it alter your emotions if not controlled. However some people would think they've already arrived and have gotten it right or the right strategy to begin with when they first make profit. Whenever I start with 1-3 profits I'm always cautious about my next trade.

One common thing attributed to making an early profit on investment is the luck factor, once they make an attempt and hit the target on this first approach, they believe that things will always be as thesame always and therefore they relax down and the next thing you see is the other side of it all, hitting them unexpectedly where they could hardly recover from, in every trading we do, we must always be on alert, anything can try to show up entirely different from what we expected, but once we see it coming, we could prepare and plan against such.
Well, I agree. But isn't it good to profit at first because it just shows that what you have learned before you try to trade does work? Profit is better than losses in your first try because it can encourage you to do better so you can gain more. But if you become complacent after that because of your thinking that it's easy then that's the problem.

As a trader, you need to improve your strategy, analysis and continue to learn. Gaining at first doesn't mean the next result would stay the same and it is one thing that a trader should be aware of especially for the newbies who are thinking it is not hard to be a trader.
1014  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paano Ka Ba Manghikayat o Mag educate Sa Mga Kababayan Natin on: May 05, 2023, 12:42:03 AM

1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your opinion on shikoku inu? on: May 04, 2023, 08:56:48 AM
If there is an INU in that name, then it must be a copy-cat from shiba-inu token, in short it is a copy-paste wanna be project. I don't see any promising about it hence it's a memecoin and only created because of the hype it got from other MEME coins in this past weeks. I suggest stay away from it because it will only make waste your money once the hype is over.
A new project without utility is just a shitcoin with no real purpose but to join the ride of hype meme coins. They come up with a catchy project name to lure the investors but it's like a trap that if you invest your money you'll likely lose it for choosing a not worthy coins.

Well, for investors DYOR and don't be attracted easily. Many projects that are existing nowadays are trash so dig deeper if you want to find a worthy project with a real use case and not only relying on hype.
1016  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't know if am right or wrong about this. on: May 04, 2023, 03:51:38 AM
I don't want a situation whereby someone will say that I scammed him if there is a sudden dip in the crypto industry, so I just told him to open a binance account and verify it, after then, he should get back to me so I can send him the hard copy of the crypto course I bought.
Uptil now I still feel uncomfortable about it, I don't know if am wrong or right for opening up, even though I told him of the risk involved.
Common worries of people who became the reason why a person engage himself in crypto. I understand you well because i'm once in such situation wherein I was held responsible of someone I just helped. But I don't see anything wrong on what you did since you already told him the risk yet he's still interested.

What you can do is help him understand more about trading. Remind him that it's not easy and gaining is not guaranteed. So he will keep in mind that even trading works for you or for other traders who are earning a decent, it's still different for every traders since it depends how knowledgeable and good you are when you trade.
1017  Economy / Economics / Re: Concers About Going in Business with a Friend on: May 04, 2023, 01:33:58 AM
Many years ago, I heard the story of a man whose business partner did dirty. They were business partners for almost 5 years and the suddenly the business partner left with company's money. Even after several years, this man didn't recovered. He ended up sounding it as a warning to his kids never to go into business with anyone. The trust was destroyed and never recovered. This is just one of those sad stories.
That's the risk of having a partner when you have business. Because there's always a possibility for the other to have a change of mind and become greedy because of money. The reason why if you'd like to build a business with a friend, make sure you know him inside and out as one that you can trust and rely on.

On the other hand, there are many success stories of friends who went into business together and succeeded to together. If you have ever gone into business with a friend, what were your biggest concerns and how did work through it.
Aside from the skills and knowledge on how good he is in the business that you'll build, it's important that you are comfortable with the person. You can share ideas, criticism and open to each other. In short he should be someone that you can trust, much better if you known him for a long time so you already know what kind of person he is.
1018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: May 03, 2023, 08:26:57 AM
For me working from 8AM to 5PM is really make me tired because I've spend most of my time on my jobs, I only feel free during weekend where I have more spare time to gamble, travelling, shopping or do anything I like. I only gamble for short time during work days because I need to have time with my family especially play with my kids during their golden ages. If someone who have been married and can gamble everyday, seems like he has a problem about gambling addiction.
That is also what I noticed about my coworkers in my previous job: either they will go to the arena for cockfighting or they will go to other places to get drunk. I feel that they are not tired of doing it, no matter how busy the work is. Even I can't do it, as I want to rest after the work unless it is not a busy day on which I still have spare energy. Though I wouldn't say that they are addicted, as they can still control themselves, it is just part of their daily routine to do it.
There are responsible gamblers as well who don't let gambling get over their emotions and make them spend every dime on it. If your friends are working, taking care of their families, not having mental stress, and are able to do it every day and are happy to do it, I don't see any problem with that since all these signs show that they are responsible gamblers.

If they are not doing everything right, then that probably is a problem for them and they need to stop doing it. I wouldn't mind gambling every day if I know that I have a dedicated budget for it that won't affect any other thing in my life and I can enjoy my time with it.
It doesn't matter even you gamble everyday as long as in moderation, and the money that you're spending are meant for leisure. I'm working 8 hours a day too but I can't gamble frequently because aside from i'm busy at work, my money is also limited to use for gambling. I can only gamble every weekend and when I already set aside a money meant for my leisure during payday, it's also my way to discipline myself.

If you're a gambling addict you'll do everything to sustain your addiction because you're uncontrollable. So it's not surprising if an addict can do a criminal act just to continue what he used to. The story in op is one of the example of what an addict can do. Clearly he has a serious problem that needs immediate attention.

Another great contest to look forward to.
I'm not sure though If I understand it correctly, but it looks like the winners will reduced to 4 winners only, not sure if this is per category.
So expect another tough contest this time, we still have 30 days to prepare, let's enjoy doing our entry.  Grin

Up to 4 winners per category, depending on the quality and quantity per category. So for one category there could be 1 winner while there could be 4 in another one. Just to spread out the prizes a bit more Smiley
This is cool, more chances of winning this time plus a free spin to every qualify participants.
Roobet never fails, its good to be part of every art contest with Roobet. Will start conceptualizing my entry, hope to have a spot this time.  Grin
It's more exciting to join now because of the additional winners plus a chance to qualify for the free spins. Roobet is so generous to the participants and also thanks to Hhampuz for the initiative to have these changes (additional winners and free spins) for the this art contest.

Anyway, I thought we have to wait for months again for another art contest but it's so fast that the new one is already ongoing. Good luck to everyone, looking forward to know who might be the next winners.
1020  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading not a get rich quick on: May 03, 2023, 02:36:05 AM
He made two mistakes in this regard,
1. being in meme stocks
2. using other people's money that is not his right with the aim of restoring his condition that has lost a lot.

This is obviously ridiculous when we know that being in memes is something that may not even be recommended if we don't have momentum and can enter and exit in the right way.
On the other hand, many have also emphasized in this case, Invest according to our abilities and never do this with borrowed money if we cannot be responsible for it, especially since he is consciously embezzling money and it is really ridiculous.
He is wretched for his own actions.
Exactly. Using the embezzled money in meme "stocks" are ridiculous and you're not in your right mind if you invest in meme coins using the money that is not yours. Is he thinking this can make him rich? Even if you invest in Bitcoin or other established coins we can't 100% guarantee a good result, so what can you expect if you chose meme coins instead the ones that are already established? It's a huge mistake if you believe this can make you rich quick.

Anyway, it's an eye opener for many people to not think that you can get rich in snap.  Because it depends on where you invest, your knowledge about it and how patient you are to wait because it can take a long period. In addition, don't try to trade if you have no money of your own to start your journey.
