1001  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency and entertainment. on: September 09, 2021, 03:18:10 PM
This statement is absolitely true, news, whether good or bad, acts like a promotion for cryptocurrencies but there is one thing that people forget. Not only positive news in a row gives you a great advantage to sell higher in future but you can do exactly the same even on bad news. Let's have a look at both cases:
1. Imagine, there are positive and positives news frequently and the cryptocurrency that you bought at past is rising and rising. But then somehow happens the second case - 2. One terrible news is posted. What do you do at the moment? Sell right away or wait for weeks/months/years and sell then? This is the situation where you forget one thing - you can profit even in bad cases. Just sell right away when you hear terrible news that can destroy the bitcoin's price and immediately open the short position in futures trading.
It's as easy as ABC.
1002  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Instant BTC,ETH & LTC withdraws | $100k+/week contest | VIP | on: September 09, 2021, 01:40:25 PM
The logic behind patience in gambling is that if you end up gambling all of your money all at once then there is a good chance that you will end up losing it all very quickly as well. What you need to do however is simply just focus on gambling a small amount for a very long time, that way instead of losing it all at once, you will lose it a lot less quicker, having a bit of wins at the same time.

For example, if I gamble on a slot today and put 1000 dollar in there, then I have a chance to lose it all in the first bet ever, whereas if I put 1$ in there, that would be 1000 bets minimum, and we all know you will have some wins along the way so there will be at least 2000 bets and maybe even as much as 5k-10k bets with that logic as well, and you could earn while you are gambling and get lucky and have like some 800x situation going as well. It gives you a better shot at it.
See, $1000 is equal of $1 for some people, that's the difference. There are some people who spend nothing at all for fun because they just can't afford, there are some people who spend $100-200 a month for fun and there are some people who spend thousands a month for personal fun. There is a same difference in gambling, there are people who leave million in one night in casinos and there are people who badly cry when they lose $5 in casinos.

But you are right, if an average person wants to have fun, then a one-time $1000 bet is a VA bank, it's far from fun when the result is either win or lose.
I think everyone has to acknowledge that the money they have dedicated for gambling mustn't be more than they are willing to lose and try their best to do low bets and just get the fun from gambling. If they are lucky, their low bets will still give them some profit and the positive thing is that they won't go bankrupt in a seconds.
1003  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaigns and some discussion about seo on: September 09, 2021, 12:29:43 PM
Here is a snap of Domain details of Bitcointalk.org

As per snap, Bitcointalk.org domain has very Higher Domain authority, Pageranks, Total Backlinks, Quality Backlinks, Alexa, and many more factors with higher grades. All these numbers are useful for SEO.

Getting do-follow links from the forum will definitely increase the SERP of the linked domain.

Nowadays there are many tactics used to get better SERP, but due to time to time updates by Search engines, it is very tough for individuals to meets all required requirements.

As I am with forum since 2015, I have used website title with URL in my profile which is boosting my SERP on major SE's.

yes, these are the details for the links found in the posts or in the forum profile.
but it is interesting that no one did the analysis of links in signature. Especially not when the signature campaign is ended and participants remove the signature with links. I guess it's treated like dead links, isn't it?
I have already done very small test. It's nothing significant but still better then nothing. Well, I posted my website in my signature and in two days I got 2 point in Ahrefs check. Some pages were almost instantly indexed. As I understood, there are some threads in bitcointalk that have it's own high PR because those threads have backlinks from other websites. One such thread was coming from one bitcoin mixer where I had posted on first page. But the problem to my mind is that if the website is brand new and has no links, then doing signature campaign on bitcointalk will bring you massive dofollow links and it looks spammy for google. You need a good ratio of do follow and no follow backlinks.
1004  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you notice how corporations took over the internet ? on: September 09, 2021, 11:57:46 AM
Everything is nice and beautiful when only small number of people know and have access on. Internet was nice when it wasn't that widespread, I remember the days when I was playing CS and we had a call in Skype at the same time. I remember the times when the internet comunities were really the great. There was less spam and more real, educated people.
Btw things are developing and it has it's pros and cons. For example, wars rapidly develop nations, just see how many amazing and useful meds were created during the ww1-2.
The difference at the moment compared to past is that everything turned into a commercial thing, there is a huge competition in everything and these tech giants like Google, Microsoft, Apple and others are the governors of the digital world. The freedom is lessening.
1005  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine is the "island of crypto freedom" in Europe, what to expect ? on: September 08, 2021, 03:50:56 PM
Ukraine only? What about Georgia? This country is great option in this case also because cryptocurrencies aren't taxed here in a regular ways (people who mine don't have to pay tax, also, people who receive cryptocurrencies and withdraw it, don't have to pay any tax when income isn't from own business).
Also, they created free industrial zone exclusively for BitFury (until that, there was no free industrial zone). Electricity is cheap and it gets especially cheap when you get them in free industrial zone.
Also (again), the government cooperated with Bitfury to help on developing and adopting of blockchain technologies (one successful project is land title registry).
1006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice 101 on: September 08, 2021, 02:59:47 PM
Cmon guys, what gambling instructor? What do you mean? Dice is a very, very simple and easiest game, you don't need an instructor here, it's not a chess/poker.
Also to OP, there is none strategy that will help you to wager as much as possible and minimize the risk. Even if you choose 98% win rate, that 2% loss chance shines very often. The strategies that work well and I have seen was on bustabit like games where the gamblers were betting with low amount of coins but were aiming for super high profits. This is the best thing if you have high capital and think about long-term.
1007  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: September 08, 2021, 11:23:31 AM
If we were a scam, why would we refund anything at all when an account is already closed?
Overall, this proposal attracted my attention. If you were a scam... Hm... If you aren't a scam, then why do you have negative feedback from a lot of DT members on this forums? And these negative feedbacks come with proofs, valid proofs. If you weren't scam, then why do you always have to say that proposal "we aren't scammers" over and over again? Why people have truth issues with you? Seems there is problem in you and it's pretty clear. We don't know what's your aim, usually you can't make an angel from evil (but the opposite can happen).
1008  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is the security of exchanges and wallets sufficient? on: September 08, 2021, 08:53:31 AM
It's true that 'not your key, not your coin', and that there are several wallets and services available to cover yourself.

There may be a point at which any cryptocurrency (whether Bitcoin or another) is held on exchanges/wallets run by small/new companies.

The small players have limited resources. How do they ensure they are sufficiently protected? Why don't there be hacks every other day?
Depends on the person. There are some people who lost access on their coins multiple times despite the fact that they had control on their keys and for these type of people, exchanges are really better options.

Overall, refund in case of hacks, depends on the exchange. I guess as  serious exchanges as Binance and Coinbase are, will refund you in case something happens and as I have heard, Binance was also refunding money to those who were liquidated because of Binance's error (those who set stop loss order and it wasn't activated). I remember cointelegraph was writing something like that.
1009  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: September 08, 2021, 08:31:53 AM
Bitcoin successfully pierced the key level of $51,000 on Sunday.

Further upside depends on BTC solidifying the level as support in coming sessions.

Will September be a month of massive gains for Bitcoin? Will the psychological resistance of $52,000 and $51,000 push BTC further downwards?

Predict Bitcoin Price movement for the month of September and win BTC! Betting expires on 23rd September.

Notable Odds: 4.90 on $50,001 - $52,500, 5.74 on $52,501 - $55,000, 11.32 on $55,001 - $57,500.
Hopefully, September will be a month of massive gains for bitcoin as the price now stays at $51k so there is a chance for bitcoin to increase. The next target is to break $52k, which is almost getting closer to that price but unfortunately, the price makes a little correction and going down for a while. If the price can break the barrier of $52k, it could still increase and reach $55k-$60 will be possible before the end of this year.

Its easy to give analysis on bitcoin price prediction but since no one is sure what will happen, its difficult to bet on it. We may place a bet that bitcoin will reach 60,000$ by month end but who knows if it dumps to 45,000$ again. This market is very unpredictable and hence you won't be able to bet right most of the times.
Omg, you were so true two days ago when you were saying that it would may dump to 45 000 USD again. It sounds hilarious but the next day we really got that price and even today the price stands nearby to 45K.
It's really exciting how the odds can change each day and overall, how the situation can change in a minutes. In 15 minutes, it fell from 49,8K to 47,5K (4.70%) and in the next 15 minutes, it fell from 48K to 43K (10.53%).

I hope that FUN token will perform well. In last three days, it felt by 26%. Hope it will regain soon and continue bullish and the negative effect of bitcoin will lessen.
1010  Economy / Economics / Re: What could make a hacker return stolen $600m crypto on: September 07, 2021, 09:20:20 PM
Not everyone likes to spend time in jail. Some people would say, give me millions and spend me in jail for ten years but some people just simply can spend a week in jail, it would make them insane and it also depends where the person has to be in.
Maybe all he needed was to become popular for a second and that's all. Otherwise, if he is a white hat, we would just reveal the bug. And if he is good at anonimity, he would keep the gains (millions) in his pocket. Seems he was able to hack but unable to hide his identity.
1011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Setting up a gambling business on: September 07, 2021, 08:20:05 PM
Am beginning to pick interest in gambling but I don't have any computer code knowledge but will love to operate a gambling site and will like to get some advice from the members of this forum, I have the capital to run the business until it starts making profits.
I don't have finances and don't have experience in football management but still want to own as amazing clubs as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG, etc.

Okay, well. First of all, have realistic dreams. To fund a casino, you don't need to know coding but you need to have capital and good connections for that. As you mentioned, you have capital. Then, you could hire HRs, developers, lawyers, register business in offshores, etc.

If you want to get all in one business, then seems the shady company (1xbet, 1xbit) offers betb2b platform where you get the whole ready things.
1012  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥Sportbook and Casino: BITSLER > $10,000 DAILY Wagering contest < on: September 07, 2021, 07:51:40 PM
Check out my honest Bitsler review published today. This casino has received a 3.6 out of 5 rating from me.
I want to thank you for really putting a lot of effort to provide very detailed review, thanks again!

Withdrawal
At past, you had three options of withdraw:
1. Low - 0.0002 btc
2. Medium - 0.0004 btc
3. High - 0.0006 btc

On high priority, the withdraw and confirmation was almost instant. Seems, now they left only two option and I agree with you, today these fees are very high. I would love if they offer us lowered withdraw fees and more advanced withdraw options where users will be able to set custom satoshi/bytes fee.

Promotions
Their promotions are really amazing, I can't really understand why you think it deserves 0 out of 5. They have a lot of promotions, chest rewards where you can get good reward if you are lucky. Also, I can say that at past Baryom was paying himself 1 bitcoin and sometimes more to top players, yeah, he was giving them 1 bitcoin for free as an appreciation for being a loyal customer.

KYC and anonymity
Bitsler is really one of the great casino that doesn't ask for KYC documents unless there is very, very bad situation. And you can stay pretty anonymous with them but maybe because of email, 4/5 in anonimity is still okay.

Still, I think Bitsler really deserves 5/5.
1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Uk most deprived areas have the Highest number of gambling outlets. on: September 07, 2021, 06:53:28 PM
According to the source :
https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/aug/23/uks-most-deprived-areas-have-highest-number-of-gambling-outlets-report

The most deprived areas of UK are actually having more number of gambling outlets, which is a matter of concern for sure.

Apparently according to the source people are targeting the most deprived and economically weak areas which is sad. The companies are trying to scam people away and this is not working well for the people around since they might get addicted for sure.

How should they go about controlling these things? Should the government try and make laws to ban such behavior and such state? I think people should have a minimum wage for sure when it comes to gambling, what do you think ?
I remember recently there was a thread around that subject.
They build most gambling outlets in poor areas because in poor areas, higher percentage of people are uneducated / unemployed and this directly indicates that they are more likely to gamble and it's true in reality.
In some countries, basically you can't take a loan if you are unemployeed and if you are employeed, the monthly payment shouldn't be more than 20-30% of your monthly salary.
If the same thing will be implemented on gambling - Accounts locked for unemployeed and employeed will be able to spend max 10-20% of salary, it will show some positive sign but after all, in the era of information technologies and a lot of possibilities, these kind of regulations won't have any significant effect.
1014  Economy / Economics / Re: Recent advertisement for Visa - what a joke on: September 07, 2021, 02:10:23 PM
Why is it a joke? I don't understand why VISA deserved so much hate there.
It's just a marketing video and company tries to bring the positive sides of the visa and make it look unique, positive, bright for people. The message of this video is that VISA connect people with each-other all over the world. It helps businesses to sell from place A to place B online.

What did they say wrong? Visa really helps you to pay with it's card in supermarkets, in online marketplaces, to send money to your friend. If you say that they track our transactions and use that for marketing purposes, then you are right and I guess everyone knows that but people still use it because some of them don't care about privacy and just enjoy the benefits they get from it.
1015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin go high the poor will not participate on: September 06, 2021, 08:48:55 PM
I am thinking that if the bitcoin continue to go up to $100,000 and above.  it will be expensive for the poor people to invest. It will be for only rich people. It will be better for bitcoin will not go so much high so that it will be affordable to everybody to invest and have profit.

I will like to read and learn for everyone here.
Why will it be for only rich people in near future? Does it matters how much bitcoin can you buy? As long as 1 satoshi doesn't worth thousands of USD, then bitcoin is affordable for everyone. It's not necessary to buy exactly 1 Bitcoin or higher in number but you can start buying from 1 satoshi that is 0.00000001 BTC, worths 0.00052 USD.

Also, just want to note that bitcoin is very volatile and iy's possible everyday to make more than 2-3% profit of capital, this profit especially doubles, triples and even grows when you use leverage.
Just don't forget, you can bet on price drop too Smiley
1016  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin assets cannot be blocked - is that helping terrorists? on: September 06, 2021, 07:39:08 PM
While most of the illegal activities in the world take place in USD and I am far from saying that bitcoin is actually worse than any other asset on that regard, I have read many news about the American withdrawal from Afghanistan and how the US government froze some billions of USD belonging to the previous government or perhaps (debatable) to the country itself. Obviously, this could not have happened if those assets were held in bitcoin or other crypto. It seems that not everything is good in self-sovereignty?

BTW, this is not a statement saying that Taliban are terrorist, just wondering about some other cases in which states were clearly linked to terror.
Modern problems require modern solutions. There is one problem that people can't understand: If we talk about illegal activities, bitcoin isn't problem alone but a whole crypto world. Will you ban bitcoin? Then we have Monero. Will you ban Monero? Then there are other cryptocurrencies and guess what? They are unique and their structure, work of mechanism is different from each-other and they aren't the clones.

Sharp knife is used to cut bread and also is used to cut someone's stomach. Knife can't be blocked, is that helping terrorists? <-- How would you answer to this question? The progress of cryptocurrencies and modern information technologies is just unstoppable and in this case both, bad and good guys benefit via the same thing because the medal has always two sides, positive and negative. So, as I said already, modern problems require modern solutions Smiley
1017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit cards and gambling (tabcorp, Australia) on: September 06, 2021, 03:54:09 PM
I remember the time I made the last topic about how the credit cards might be banned for the future gamblers. Apparently according to the tabcorp, banks are supposed to be responsible for the credit card bans.

They also provided the stats that only 14% of the users use credit cards and most of them use it responsibly. Therefore the ban would be enforced by the banks and not by any government and the authority.

At the same time, there was a statement that I did like in the whole news:
Quote
“If we got more information from the banks that a card was suspect, we could shut it down,” he added. “If the banks notified us that this was a problem, we would be able to stop dealing with that problem, but this flow of information doesn't happen.”

-Exactly the problem here.
The governmental bodies and the banks thoroughly oppose gambling sometimes but at the same time they are not working together with the companies to make sure it's safe and more practical and therefore it's indeed hard for them to point fingers even though they did not try to work together.

I do think this sends a strong message about how things can be done in a better way, what do you think about it ?

https://www.gamblinginsider.com/news/13007/tabcorp-banks-should-be-responsible-for-online-gambling-credit-card-bans
Nearly the same thing happened in my country but in this case the situation was a little bit different. Well, in my country the highest percentage of the society is gambler and the gambling business is booming there. A lot of people who work in the government and in institutes managed by the government, would get fired if they spend money in casino from their bank account/cards from day X. After that law, the online casinos decided to create online wallets and offer debit cards to their customers while promising that transactions done through this card would be unavailable for the bank and the government and this continues so on, the casinos found loophole in the law and offered the alternative solution to their customers. So, I guess this law while is good and understandable at some point, won't be that much effective.
1018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spain bans betting adds - no celebrities, no sport sponsorship, no daytime adds on: September 02, 2021, 07:16:41 PM
https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/la-liga-betting-shirt-sponsors-2020-21-season

The new law has knocked down strongly all the preferred advertising options for betting business. They cannot, for example, be on a teams shirt nor celebrities from sports are allowed to promote betting houses or platforms. Also, the adds in TV can only be run late at night. Needless to say that is a torpedo on the finances of several teams and may affect their ability to recruit and maintain the right players.

Teams directly affected:
Quote
Alavés (Betway), Cádiz (Dafabet), Granada (Winamax), Levante (Betway), Real Betis (Betway), Sevilla (MarathonBet) and Valencia (Bwin).
Seems regulations on gambling are getting more strict and strict. This isn't a bad idea at all because sportsbooks shouldn't be promoted by certain teams or players. This, at some point, may leave association for some people that the team or the player are cooperated with the casino, etc. Another idea behind these regulations can be that celebrity sportsmen like Ronaldo, Messi and others have huge influence no people and the government wants to lessen the number of addicted gamblers and the number of gamblers in overall. (Remember how one rejection of Coke's bottle from Christiano Ronaldo affected the company).
1019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japanese financial regulator considers imposing stricter crypto rules on: September 02, 2021, 06:50:21 PM
We should welcome them. The more the government debates and tries to regulate, the more the cryptocurrency will be promoted, the more the general public will know about it. When Bitcoin was banned in Nigeria, it was sold at a premium price, but the government could not stop investors.

I read the whole article, With hacks being heard from exchanges every year. Japan has begun to crack down against hacking from exchanges, and revised travel policies to prevent money laundering, which is also crypto-friendly.
I think all the steps taken by Japan are positive, I think they have taken such an initiative to officially adopt the cryptocurrency.
I don't think so. When the governments trie to regulate the crypto, if the number of them increases and if the regulations are becoming strict and strict, at first it will promote crypto because there will be a lot of news written by the media but final result will be the less usage with high control. You can attract attention if you kill someone but this kind of attention will damage your future. On another hand, you can become rockstar (just saying) and gain people's attention and become celebrity. It will make your future bright. There is a huge difference between promotions and I think this kind of ones on bitcoin isn't that good. There are a lot of news written how volatile it is, a lot of futures contracts were liquidated in a very short time and a lot of people lost money. So huge interest and volatility at the same time makes it very risky compound and turns light on new regulations about investments.
1020  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Twitter seems likely to integrate tipping using Bitcoin. on: September 02, 2021, 05:58:06 PM
It sure seems like they're going to require KYC/AML. And while it sucks for sure, can we really blame them? It's highly like that Twitter allowing non-KYC money sending(even if it's just a front-end UI thing, not necessarily them facilitating the transactions) is just going to get themselves in trouble with the government.

In the end, while again— it sucks, this is still in no doubt positive in my book.
It's very positive news but at the same time the trouble that user has to go through doesn't worth and in this case I mean, you have to create account, get KYC verified, deposit bitcoins and then fund others. Will people really do that just for twitter? Maybe yes if Strike will partner with Google, Apple, Facebook and other companies that will share the same provider for tips.

Idk, since they are going to do that, there would be a lot of research behind this and most likely they expect that this service will work and it will benefit their business well.
