1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there play and pay later casinos? on: January 02, 2024, 07:21:08 AM
~snip~
Yes, a gambler will be engrossed in his own world without paying attention to what is happening around him. Maybe he also wouldn't know anything about his surroundings because he was more focused on what he was doing. But they may have also taken out loans and borrowed money to gamble, so that's what makes them focus on gambling. If they take out a loan, they will try to make money from gambling and focus on winning more so they can repay the loan as soon as possible. Yes, the results of gambling cannot be predicted and we can only keep trying to gamble, but this must be done with limits so that we don't experience serious problems later. Many people have lost self-control and boundaries while gambling so they only experience serious problems and are confused about how to solve them.
Borrowing money to gamble is not recommended and anyone who gambles with borrowed money will have series of real problems before them.
They borrow money and have to pay it back, of course they will also try to make win for certain amount of profit that can be used to pay the loan, but they forget that the sure guarantee in gambling is not victory but defeat.
When they lose and have to pay back loan, all they do is borrow again from other people to cover the previous loan and this will continue to happen until they are really in debt and unable to pay it.
Apart from that, he has also become gambling addict because the excessive activity he does in gambling has become habit that cannot be left behind.
Isn't this very worrying because more and more people are experiencing problems from gambling and they will always have problems that never stop.

That's one of my top list that I set for myself, I will never gamble with the money I owed to others or I won't gamble until I have extra money because I have seen or met many different people who experienced bad things in life because they were made to gamble using other people's money. for me, it is one of the things that should not be done to avoid the destruction of life, being in debt is a big damage especially if you don't have the ability to pay after gambling that's why I don't think play and pay later casino will be a norm in gambling world as we know that there's no guarantee of winning in doing gambling.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your New Year's resolution? on: January 02, 2024, 07:01:09 AM
Gambling has been a part of our lives if you are an active gambler, and as this year is about to end, I would like to know your New Year's resolution.

Please share it with us here, and please don't make your new years resolution like you will not gamble again, that's against the rule of a gambler.

Also, I like to greet you all, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Being a responsible gambler is indeed a  quite difficult to maintain because of possible greed and overwhelming things may happen, but this coming 2024 I promise to myself that I will continue the things that I used to do to become a responsible gambler and promise to myself that even things will become difficulr to handle, I will still choose to become a responsible and be one of the  respectful gambler out there. Always choose to stay kind and do not deceive other gamblers.
1003  Economy / Economics / Re: First time? A company suing because people aren't buying its products!!! on: January 02, 2024, 01:33:15 AM
I have been told by many Israel supporters that these kind of Boycott is useless and has no effect at all, to the company or to Israel, but turns out it make some impact. Moreover, who will be sued for doing the BDS, it is a decentralized collective movement, no one is paying for those people to stop or boycotting any product, most of them aren't even encouraging/discouraging people to do the BDS, people are just stating that they are boycotting some products. That will be a very tough case to be brought into court.

Indeed, this will be a very tough case. Even if many people in israel thinks that boycotting is useless because they can't see some improvements but for other people, we can see a little differences and impact of doing it. You're right that there's no one paying those people in doing boycotting some products. This is an initiative of the people to fight their grievances with what is happening in the country, they just show that they are not okay with the idea that McDonald's supports the war issue.
1004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health concern on: January 02, 2024, 01:07:33 AM
My question is :
Do you know the status of your health while gambling and what do you do if you happen to suffer a mild or hard stroke?
Health is Wealth so everyone is supposed to know his or her health status whether the wealth is gotten from gamble or business. Medications can be taken to control any health issue to avoid breakdown of any kind when emotions have been applied during the gamble. I have to avoid gambling if it will make me to suffer a mild or hard stroke.

That's right, we should prioritize our health first before our wants in life, sometimes when we are so happy with something we are doing, we forget to do or look at more important things that we should focus more on, like our health. For me, even if my money and savings are just right, the most important thing is that no one in my family is sick. If I ever gamble, I make sure that the money is secured when it comes to health, so it's also good to have health insurances or emergency funds for our health
1005  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: January 01, 2024, 01:27:04 PM
If you become a government employee, you will continue to use the salary even higher with the increase in rank and high position.
and until old age will still be guaranteed because they get a pension every month.
There will be nothing more that government employees can hope for until the end of their lives except the basic salary and pension salary which is only enough to consume each month. Meanwhile, the instinct of humans is of course to always really want to develop in their lives by earning more income, even though they have to do their own business even though their position is also as a government employee.

Because working in the government is usually only half a day and not a full day, every government employee should use the other half day for his own business if he still wants to earn more income for his life without depending on just one income, namely his basic salary in the government or his retirement salary when his term of service is over.

in my opinion it is clear, everyone must want himself or his economy to develop, therefore I think it is better to have both, on the one hand we have a permanent job as an employee or other with a fixed monthly income is also clear, and when after work we do a side job or own business even if it is small in my opinion it doesn't matter, because the general hours of work are only 8 hours so there is a possibility that we have free time that can be used to relax but while entrepreneurship that generates profits. with the monthly income earned it can be set aside little by little to start a new business, even though it is small it is not a problem, but the problem is our finances that must be able to stabilize gradually to start a new business.

with the monthly income earned it can be set aside little by little to start a new business, do not be ashamed or reluctant to the business that will be run, even though it is small it is not a problem, but the problem is our finances that must be stable and we are also able to achieve financial freedom.
I also think it's rare for people to do something like this, I myself still can't be consistent because there are obstacles and obstacles, but I'm sure when my side business is running well I can enjoy the results while running it.

Exactly! It's better to have them both or at least have a work experience, in that way you will be learn many skills while earning a salary. Just save your income so you will be able to put up your own business while having a full time job. As you've said, do not be ashamed on your business even if it's small, as long as it gives you an extra income, there's nothing to be ashamed of.
1006  Economy / Economics / Re: If Banks make money out of loans then they should reward those who borrow on: January 01, 2024, 01:04:03 PM
I personally have no active bank account right now as my old account was closed due to inactivity and no balance for like 3 months I guess. My debit card supposed to expire by 2027 but yeah it was already blocked and that is how it works, once they get nothing from you they'll do the right thing. But it's okay I have alternatives like e-wallets not owned by a bank and a crypto wallet that is decentralized and doesn't need a bank as well. Banks don't like poor people therefore poor people don't have access to banks.

Yup, that's a part of their rules about having an account with banks, They will automatically blocked your account especially if it is dormant or inactive. Same on your opinion, seems like they will easily kicked you out because they have nothing to gain from you and when it comes to reward, bank will give you a super little percentage of gain interest from the money that you've deposited to them which is totally not worth it.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: January 01, 2024, 12:40:34 PM
Again, it is actually unethical to discuss the issue of gambling with religion and link it, remember that gambling is personal and so is religion, so it is very important for us to respect other people's views on rules and morals.  i am also a Christian and really respect other Christians who don't gamble because they think gambling is bad behavior, i never feel like i'm right, i just gamble without harming myself, my family and also other people because some radical Christians said that gambling destroys a person's personality and also destroys his life so in my opinion as long as the person is able to manage his gambling activities well then it is legal.

I agree with you, it's really unethical to tackle the gambling and religion issue because it's a broad topic and many people will get offensive in different type of comments here since we have different perspective when it comes to religion linked in gambling. Just like you, I always respect other people who definitely disagree in doing gambling because they have different beliefs and As a sign of respect, I chose not to have a conversation with them about it.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 01, 2024, 10:14:26 AM
A gambling expert brought i and some friends a guaranteed predicted game and asked us to stake a a high amount so that we winning could be huge and so we can give him a percentage of the money at winning.

I don't believe there could be a 100% guaranteed game but yet my friends who are eager to make profits in the gambling accepted to play the gamed as instructed and at the end of it, they all loosed the game and at then, the rest of us were happy because we didn't play the game else we would had loosed as others.

I want to ask, do you believe in experts gambling predictions?

Nope, I don't want to rely on others because I don't want to blame them in the end, in case fate doesn't favor their predictions. I better follow my own instincts so that if I make a wrong decision, I don't have to look for someone to blame.  When it comes to gambling, there's no guarantee and we can't really know if we'll win or not so it's better to just follow what's in your mind instead of relying on other people.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the perception of people about gamblers in your neighborhood? on: January 01, 2024, 09:36:17 AM
The perception of gambling in the eyes of society is considered as bad behavior, especially gambling is prohibited in the country, so of course parents will tell them to avoid these people.

Because there have been many changes, especially with online gambling which is increasingly widespread, people use it, it cannot be avoided this change even though many have advised it, but I myself, who gamble online, am not considered a gambler by the people in my neighborhood because they don't know what I am doing, this is also the same thing that people around here do because with online gambling they can be private which is not known to many people.

Same here! Those people, espcially the parents, when they find out that someone is a gambler, they often forbid their children from associating with those people. They think that their children might be influenced by always being with gamblers. It's common to think like that about gamblers in our area, but for me, we have our own decisions and the ability to choose the paths we'll take, so I don't blame other people for what's happening in my life. If I'm going to be gambling addict, Then it's my choice, not by other people.
1010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Connecting to Public Wifi on: January 01, 2024, 09:16:38 AM
I visit the city here few weeks ago due to my personal medical appointment. I notice that they have public wifi because I’m only allowed to use my Tab as mobile device due to my eye condition.

I just thought playing a little bit gambling while waiting for my appointment but then I realized that online casino has a strict rules about IP sharing. I'm really skeptical to connect because I’m not sure whether someone connected on it that play on same online casino that I’m playing. I don’t want to risk being connected to someone randomly.

I want to get the opinion how casino deal with this kind of situation. If you caught up on this messed up situation, how can you possibly defend yourself to online casino operators?

I don't know the rules but maybe it depends to a casino how to handle that kind of situation, but for me, I don't usually use public wifi if ever I have a plan on doing gambling, I prefer to use mobile data instead of using public wifi for the sake of my privacy. This type of incident usually stated in the terms and conditions or rules of a gambling site.

https://news.bitcoin.com/el-salvador-introduces-exclusive-citizenship-through-1-million-crypto-investment/

Baka gusto ninyo kumuha ng visa ito ang link:
https://adoptingelsalvador.gob.sv/welcome

parang may pinag huhugutan kabayan ah ,  Grin Grin

Minsan na din ako naging ganito eh , yong tipong nakaupo maghapon at kain , computer and tulog lang ang ginagawa so  ang totoo hindi ako nag iinvest para kumita in future instead nag invest lang ako ng pampa hospital at para yumaman ang mga doctor.

but now I changed my way of living instead healthy eating and proper exercising each day.

1013  Other / Archival / Re: Generational wealth on: December 31, 2023, 06:44:46 AM
The key to make money in healthcare is don't cure your patient too fast, make them back to you and spend more money to follow other steps. Since a pharmacist not allowed to diagnose the patient, you need to make a personal agreement with the doctor who work as private medical practice in your pharmacy.

This sounds like an evil, but that's a way to make more money in healthcare if your goal is for business.

if only money is on your mind, this is a correct suggestion, but many people may be fooled and rely on it. Imagine you are in the situation of people buying medicine to cure someone, how would you feel, knowing that the medicines you are buying is not reliable and doesn't even cure even small health problems? Yup, it sounds evil because it shows no sympathy to other people, and I don't think it will be feasible since even those pharmacist rely in drugs and medicines.
1014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Gambling Question on Duration of Joy after a win or loss on: December 31, 2023, 05:36:46 AM
No one enjoys losing in gambling.Losing brings our hopes down, it ushers in emotional pain and grumpiness whereas, winning elevates our mood, bringing happiness and excitement. There are games where I have won and after withdrawing my winnings, I am so happy that I give gifted some of it to people around me. This doesn't last for long once the it is out of my hand and minds. I am curious, how long does this joy last after a win or a loss—does it linger until your next bet, lasting the whole day, just 20 minutes, or perhaps 2 hours?

When I feel down because of losing in gambling, It will last overnight because of disappointment and that's normal for me, espcially that I'm overthinker, I always think of many what if's that's why it is so hard for me to accept losing. But then, losing in gambling is normal and also it will gives us a lesson and will learn a lot which helps us in our next gambling session.
1015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling game is not good and everyone should stay away from it on: December 31, 2023, 04:30:40 AM
I believe they must first feel the badness of gambling before they stay away from it. it can't just be advice. Those who get involved in gambling definitely have their own enjoyment. For me, as long as they know their limits and don't harm other people, there's no problem. unfortunately even if they are detrimental it is not easy for them to realize. I hope they get proper psychological guidance if gambling has made their bad habit even worse for their family and those around them.

Yup, Better to know or feel it first before deciding to stay away. In that way, they will see if gambling gives a negative effect in their lives, If none, it's up to them whether they continue or not. people don't have to generalize their thoughts about gambling because it depends to every person, Sometimes It's good to other and sometimes are not.
1016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The frustrations in loosing a huge bet when your winning was so assured. on: December 31, 2023, 12:45:55 AM
To those who considers making profits a priority in gambling, I have come to observe that it is much more frustrating when you looses your game at when the game was almost over and you were on the safer side (winning) and just a few minute or seconds before the game is over it ended up at your lost.
I come to understand that it is more worrisome when the sure winning opportunities was so huge and got lost lately closed to the end time of the game.

That's how luck definitely works. we don't realize that what we expect to happen has changed, so sometimes it's hard to expect and talk about things until it's over. you will be really disappointed if that is the outcome. You seem to have the fun and excitement but when it comes to the end, it's like heaven and earth are entwined because you just lost. That's one of the reason why I don't expect much when I'm doing gambling because I experience that same scenario so many times.
1017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do people always play gambling even if they always lose? on: December 30, 2023, 11:07:15 PM
There are reasons why many are still playing despite of their losses and it's hard to tell the main reason for it aside from their emotionally attachment to gambling. Many are chasing their losses while some are just trying to have fun and didn't care if they will lose the money or not. The house will always win here and this is the reality, now if you can't stop yourself from gambling then at least have a good self-control and be more responsible as a gambler.

Correct, we can't figure what's the true reason behind that kind of action from them, since every gambler has a different goals when doing gambling. It's not that easy to stop yourself doing gambling most especially if you're in worst state of being addicted, because no matter what you do, it might harm you even more, when it comes to emotional health, it would be better if there were advice to be obtained from health professionals, they know better the correct process of how a person can escape addiction.
1018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: December 30, 2023, 10:50:20 PM
Sometimes people are always addicted to playing gambling online and this has made them loss alot of funds, due to always topping up theire casino account with there debit card when they loose. and this usually makes them exhaust all there funds.

While those people playing offline in casino halls play with only the little money they have at hand, and that will reduce the risk of over spending. So now my question is this

Playing online or offline gambling which is more preferable in terms of risk reduction?

Whether it's offline or online gambling, if a person can't control himself, it will end up being addicted.  they will do anything and find a way to have money or anything that can be used just to gamble.

It's true that the risk of overspending will be reduced if you play offline gambling, but that's where a person's addiction develops because there's no limit or money to be taken out, more time is allocated so it's more likely to lead to addiction.
1019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich, average or poor. Who loses more? on: December 30, 2023, 01:24:34 PM
There is no standard to measure which class of gamblers loses more or profits more among rich, middle class, and poor gamblers. However, once the middle class and lower class lose in gambling, their mentality changes a lot because they don't have the courage to gamble again after losing a huge amount of money. But the elites do not become mentally broken even if they lose repeatedly in gambling but they do not hesitate to bet again to get profit even if they lose more than once. That's why the rich are more likely to profit from betting than the middle and lower classes.

Exactly! Those people in the middle and lower class tends to become more broke after losing such amount in gambling and even if they really want to gamble, they can't do that again because they have no money. nothing left in their pockets after losing, what's even worse is that maybe because they want to continue gambling, they might think of something else that is more difficult to solve such as borrowing money or mortgaging properties.
1020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: December 30, 2023, 12:55:14 PM
I think if they accidentally see it then we have to educate them about gambling. This must be done otherwise it will definitely be difficult for us to control if they come alone to the gambling site and then try it uncontrollably. I'm sure some children jump in here on their own without guidance and end up getting addicted. Learning not to gamble in front of children is also important.

It depends on their age, because sometimes even if we explained it to them, they aren't fully aware and they don't really understand what is gambling all about, if we force them to give an explanation, it might even cause a child to become more curious. There's nothing wrong in giving an explanation to them but we should check it first and assess your child, it's better to keep an eye on them and see if they're really interested in what they saw or maybe they don't care, if they don't care at all, that's better.
