1021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 09, 2023, 01:58:24 PM

To bad he got injured on a warm up and know suns will got a problem for his absence again. He became injury prone recently and to bad for a team contending for playoffs. Hopefully this is not serious injury because if he's out due to this injury to play offs maybe their team will struggle to advance on finals.

I don't see as a bad luck but maybe rather his health condition.

KD's latest injury is something that unexpected. He's really an injury prone star. Hopefully, that injury will not be as serious as what he has before.

We can't tell if that a bad luck or just a timing, but with the technology now, the chance that it can be cured is possible,
we will just need to wait for further updates.

They still have a good squad to compete while KD is resting.

They have to give KD more rest so he can be ready for the playoffs. For sure, the Suns will have no problem entering the playoffs as they are playing impressive basketball now. Although Durant has been injury-prone, the good thing about him is that when he does play, he still delivers his usual production.
1022  Economy / Speculation / Re: Maybe it's time for BTC to take off and reach the $100K on: March 08, 2023, 01:22:35 PM
All this wait, same price for months, sounds like the calm before the storm. Maybe it's time for BTC to take off and reach the $100K. Just saying. This price is a joke for BTC's potential. Of course all we can do is hope. But it makes me wonder why it's not happening yet. Right now BTC is cheap as peanuts. Luckily 1 BTC = 1 BTC.
In order for such a rise to occur, there must be a high demand and a fixed or low supply, meaning that the supply must decrease, which is something that did not happen, and the demand increases very dramatically, which is also something that did not happen, and therefore there is no opportunity to reach the price of 100k with the current data.
If we only have control over the market, we'd like to move that way but unfortunately, we are just reliant on the market demand as the supply is fixed. Upon seeing the market trend, we are actually far from reaching $100k this year as dumps still happen as checking on the chart.
Quote
When will that happen? At any time during the next 8 years probably.
What you are trying to say here is not speculation.
It is pure speculation and usually went wrong. But the positivity that OP has is out of reality. Reaching $100k is not impossible but putting in a time frame makes it unreal as no one knows. Might we reach first at $50k and slowly hit back to $70k...and reaching $100k is another ATH.
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to better promote our project effectively ? on: March 08, 2023, 12:42:45 PM

As you may know or not, FireDAO is a newly launched project that intends to build an on-chain economy based on DID system and SBTs. I am with FireDAO team, in charge of the global community buildup. To be honest, to promote a new project is never easy and I was wondering what strategies or measures you would use to promote FireDAO effectively. We are open to any advice and also questions that relate to FireDAO. Please share your views. Thanks.
Social media platforms can do better but of course, it never works so easily and it needs to spend more money. Some developers are using influencers to work and focus on the promotions which I see has a huge impact, it can be so much useful in your case as it was a new project. But it won't just stop there, investors will do the assessment and make their decision not only because of these influencers but also the potentiality of the project. If you have this, success is certainly on your side in the long run.
1024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 08, 2023, 11:49:46 AM
DYIP almost had this win, and it was an entertaining game, but in the end, Ginebra made sure they would not let DYIP upset them. The performances of Brownlee, Thompson, and Malonzo were impressive in the last few seconds of the game.

Brownlee made a 3-point shot, Malonzo dunked the ball, and although Thompson missed the follow-up shot, he got the offensive rebound, giving Ginebra the ball position.

Congratulations to the winners, as the handicap for DYIP was easily covered.
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 08, 2023, 10:43:42 AM
It's going to be very difficult to retire though it he win this fight. Obviously, he will have to defend it, otherwise if he retire and vacant again, then it's a waste of time for him to fight. He has been blessed to have another shot at the belt and become the champion again. So I doubt that he will waste this kind of opportunity.

If he lost, then it's up to him and his camp to re-assess if he wants to continue or not. Specially in the circumstances like he is brutally knockout again or he was dominated in this fight.
It depends on the goals of Donaire at the time, if he just wants to prove that he still can be a champion despite his age, if he can get the win then retiring is not a bad option, very few people retire at the top of their sport and being able to walk away as a champion is one of dreams of many athletes, so it would not be a bad way to go, however to keep fighting professionally is not a bad option either, because as a champion Donaire should be able to earn even more money, especially if he targets other champions as well.
We are talking about opportunities here, so it's most likely that Donaire will not retire, as there are certainly more opportunities to come if he wins this fight and becomes a champion again. In his division, there are not many dominant fighters, or I should say there are no fighters that are too good for Donaire.

I like to believe that Donaire will continue his journey in boxing. Age is just a number, and winning is important. I'm sure he will take on challengers once he holds that belt again.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Doge coin. on: March 07, 2023, 11:25:42 AM

So why do you think people still want to risk their money buying meme coins instead of buying bitcoin or some good altcoin? I think that even if doge will start pumping, it won't go x10 because its market cap is too high.
Do you still buy doge or other meme coins?
We can't deny that many traders/investors hate meme coins like Doge but still, a lot of people remain hoping for another hype and they are even patient to wait for it as they'll think that it will happen again. We can't stop them nor discourage these people because I was certain that they are already aware of the situation and see Dogecoin losing its value, yet they still hold and invest.
But for me, I don't consider it buying even though I saw the huge community supports for this project. Not because it was a meme coin but it is because I have no courage and never see the potential of this project in the long run.
1027  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: March 07, 2023, 11:02:15 AM
It's pointless to put your faith in a new trader who might just get lucky and make a quick profit.
Trusting an experienced trader is critical because they can survive in the crypto market regardless of market conditions, whether bear or bull. Regardless, basic knowledge is the most important aspect of trading because people are difficult to trust these days, and no one can deceive you with any strategy if you have basic knowledge.
New trader with good mapping out of trading positions that will yields profits at the end of each trades is what every one needs at the moment. People don't care if you're new in the space, as long as profits is coming in, you're the one that will lead the road to their finance solutions in the market. Nevertheless, an experience trader knows when it's a bull and bear season because he had a lengthy experience in the market and knows what it feels like to make heavy losses and massive profits. They're the master minds behind the complex strategy of the market, and I'm fully confident with following their trading signals because this space is all about making the profits but in a situation where I'm no longer recording profits, I'll switched.
The advantage of having an experienced trader to teach is to hear hints from them of what we need to avoid as they already have that kind of experience before. Yet, that can't warrant profit assurance as we are the ones who would make the final decision but at least, we have the idea and enough knowledge to be used in actual trading which could make us decide right and do the best possible way.
However, we also have to work hard and keep those teachings in our minds as we can't just rely on them forever.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 05, 2023, 08:50:50 PM
^ Yeah, it's going to be full of *bleep* and *bleep* in this press conference. Both are huge trash talkers and we know that when to fighters like to bad mouth against each other, it's hard to stop.

Did the venue though has been announced yet?

I now they are targeting Las Vegas for this fight and there are 2 venues vying for that slot and I might have missed the official place of this fight, just saying.

Yes, that is expected mate but that will be fun to see because this fight is a bit personal for them both. They've been dancing back and forth on the internet for some years now and fortunately, it's happening and will take place in April 22 at Las Vegas, Nevada.

The venue is still TBA, I'm thinking that organizers will first feel the people's response towards their tickets on the first few days of selling it so that they could tell which place is more suitable to cater a large crowd. After that, the place will be finalized and as well as the PPV price.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: March 05, 2023, 08:14:08 PM

Nah, smart money should be on Shakur Stevenson and not on Yoshino. For me even with that huge odds for him, I wouldn't take that bite, just saying. Shakur will be too good for Yoshino in this fight. This is the Japanese first fight out of his native home country, and so there will be adjustment because this is a big stage and he might not take the limelight. As for what will be the good bet for Shakur, we will have to wait and see then. No value for ML, but if there are more options, then obviously we are going to bet on that with a higher odds.

I agree with you. No one will bet on this underdog since he is not even popular. Betting on Shakur does not necessarily mean you'll take the moneyline. There are other betting options, such as betting on the specific round Yoshino will be knocked out, or the range of rounds, which typically groups every three rounds. If you want higher odds, then bet on Shakur to win via KO. Based on his previous fights, he is not really a KO artist.

Even if we say Yoshino is popular, it's still not advisable to bet on him because the odds itself suggests that his chances are not that good against Shakur Stevenson if this is the latter's first fight in the weight class. Talking about the present odds, it's already expected that the ML is really not juicy because a 7:1? That's much more worse than the Butler-Inoue fight.
Hopefully, the bookies will release more betting options much sooner as we're already a month away from the fight date.

Yes, that thing with Yoshino is that he is not stateside, so bookies and fans are not familiar with him. Although we might see in his records that he is good, but still he is facing an American fighter who is in his prime and rising in ranks.

Bookies already released more options already mate, you can check it out already:

See? A 25.00 odds for Yoshino to win by a way of decision. Imagine if Shakur will get upset in this fight, that's an instant big payday but in reality, that's not really likely. The power difference between him and Shakur is so wide that you can't even imagine the latter being defeated in this battle.

But for Shakur's odds, I might check that out again before this month ends as 3.80 seems decent enough for me. Shakur to win via KO is not that impossible, just a thought.
Yes, that odds might be juicy and tempting to see but it's not that realistic because the Japanese pride is not that well known to be a strong boxer or somehow a treat to Shakur's career especially in this time where it is the latter's first fight at 135 pounds. But for those bettors who likes betting on a heavy underdog, this is for them.

Quote
But for Shakur's odds, I might check that out again before this month ends as 3.80 seems decent enough for me. Shakur to win via KO is not that impossible, just a thought.
Don't forget that these odds might change overtime and that 3.80 is decent enough because that is by a way of KO/TKO in favor of Shakur.
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 05, 2023, 07:02:29 PM
Yes it was clearly a duck to me as well, how him and Top Rank try to avoid Donaire at all cost and just hiding on their own reasons like doesn't want to work with Probellum, Donaire's promotion but in the past did they that.

After all, Nonito Donaire is still considered a threat in the Bantamweight even after being beaten by Naoya Inoue as the Japanese are really on the highest level at 118 lbs and no one can beat this guy. Top Rank once again spoiled another big fight in the Bantamweight as they clearly ducked their boxer, Jason Moloney to fight the old Donaire who still has the speed and strength.

I hope that Donaire will win the fight and claim the WBC title in order for the boxing council to somehow mandate title defense against top-ranked boxer in their list and that includes Jason Moloney. Top Rank will surely be forced to accept the deal. But the longer they are doing delays, the older Donaire is getting to.

Not sure though mate that is going to happen, Jason Moloney now targets the WBO belt and he has been dropped by the WBC in their rankings (maybe this is because he refused to fight Donaire).

But who knows, maybe if Donaire get the majority of the belts and then only the WBO belt is missing, then maybe a unification fight is inevitable. So let's see, Donaire has a few more fights in him, at least if he wins he should aim for another belt in this division.

For now, that's not going to happen because both mentioned boxers are campaigning for a different belt, WBO for Moloney and WBC for Donaire but yes, maybe in the future, fate will make these two boxers collide with each other so that we can see who's who and which is which. But it's worth to note that Moloney declined the WBC's offer because he is facing Donaire, so that already means something and maybe he will duck again sometime soon until Donaire will retire.
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 05, 2023, 04:33:15 PM
In fact LeBron James is injured, and will be sidelined, this is terrible for the Lakers, as LJ is the team's guide.
But I saw on a website that LeBron James could play again, even though he was injured, he could participate in regular season games to help the Lakers.
LeBron does not need to undergo surgery, so most likely, he will be back soon, as his team really needs him.
Yes, it doesn't require any surgery as it's not that actually serious to undergo in any medical operation but his injury which is a tendon injury in his right foot is also a serious one. The Lakers will re-evaluate him again in the next 3 weeks and given that time frame, LeBron might not be back to finish the rest of the games in regular season.

Well, regarding the Lakers x Timberwolves game, it was extremely clear that AD is an excellent player, even though he was playing without LJ, he managed to play his basketball and help the team significantly.
Schroder wasn't able to score like in the previous games, but on the other hand, Schroder had 12 assists, most of which went to AD.

Look, I believe that without LJ the Lakers are unlikely to make the playoffs.
But for the team to get a seed, AD and especially the other players will have to play extremely well to fill the absence of LJ
Yes, AD is unstoppable, but the Lakers cannot rely too much on him, as that will only put him in an injury-prone situation again. Without LeBron, this team will not make it to the playoffs, but once he is back, I think there's still a chance, as they have been playing well so far since Westbrook got traded. It's just sad that LeBron has been out for a while.
I guess that is the predicament they are facing right now because if they rely heavily on AD, he might get injured in the long run and their efforts will be in vain even if they manage to qualify for the play-in. What they have to do is to divide the load, not that equally but just help AD from carrying the team and that means that they should step up their game.
1032  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: From this you can be accurate 85% of the time on: March 03, 2023, 11:59:24 AM
No offense mate, but if you can manage to be right 85% of the time on a long-term time frame, then you should be a billionaire by now. It might've worked in a short-term time frame, but don't immediately get too cocky that it will work well in a long-term time frame.
this strategy worked for me on btc/usdt, binance , tradingview
with that specific indicator
may not work for you
i just sharing if anyone try and get profit from it

Might it work with you mate but never expect this could work for others. Though sharing helps others to gain ideas and strategies but thinking to have the same results because you did it so well, I don't think so. Why? It is because it varies in decision-making and much more if we also get influenced by our emotions.

I appreciate how you did it well and I was thinking you are now a billionaire as mk4 said. However, I don't think it works consistently knowing that the market had also changed. Might it work today or tomorrow but not in the months from now?
1033  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you have any financial regrets ? on: March 03, 2023, 11:15:42 AM
I also have financial regrets. and of course the regret resulted from my mistake drowning in greed. However, from this regret, I learned a valuable lesson that led me to a better financial life. so I am more careful in all financial matters. because I don't want to fall in the same hole. and almost everyone also learns from mistakes due to mistakes in the past. So all we need to do is keep moving forward. and make the past a lesson so you don't repeat the same mistakes.
Yes, don't be someone who falls into the same hole, I want to emphasize that. Because a person who falls into the same hole in my opinion is a very stupid person, because he knows that it will harm him but he still does it, isn't that a stupid thing? Maybe my words are too harsh, but that's what I want to say.
We could have made another mistake because of our ignorance, but if it is a mistake we have already made then that is a very bad thing.
But I'd say not, because some people will try and think if they can do it but yes, not all go differently, some just fall like others.
However, this is not the regretful part I see, but being afraid to take risks is even more regretful. We can learn more if we are always afraid to lose and we never succeed if we are afraid to fail. Might we fail today and lose our money but that also serves as a lesson for the next attempt. Because it never works smoothly, it went hard earlier but it eventually change as we keep going.
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 03, 2023, 07:50:46 AM
I've also got an eye out for LA Clippers -3.5 vs Golden State Warriors, LA Clippers look really good the departure of Reggie Jackson and addition of Russell Westbrook have made them a really better team, and according to reports it's seems he's going to be among the starting five for Clippers tonight... I've also got a Props on him to make Over 7.5 assist tonight.

GL!

We have the same bet. I like the Clippers, as I was hoping for a big bounce back, and they are a healthy team compared to the Warriors who have been missing Curry for many games already. Unfortunately, it's not our night because the Clippers only gave us hope in the first half but forgot to play at a high level of competition in the second half.
I made the same bet because I was thinking that the Clippers were going to end their losing streak. And the fact that they were listed as the favorite to win, most of us were convinced they would do well on the road and beat the undermanned Golden State Warriors. Klay Thompson played well, but it was really Poole who brought the energy to spark a good run. The entire team was playing well at that point.

I now realized that we should never underestimate the Warriors, they have the heart of a champion.

You should never underestimate them as they had proven it already having an outstanding home win-loss record.
1035  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotion and Trade? on: March 02, 2023, 01:28:19 PM
I guess for someone to call him or her self a trader you need to control your emotions right, now after having that emotion in control and other basic things a trader should know you have all under control and still loss more then getting profit.

*What else is required for such a person to control,is it still his or her emotions or what next?

*And what will be your advice to a person in that position or state and what kind of trader are you going to call such a person?
Emotions can be found normal to human beings, which is why we are more special than these trading bots.
if we think that controlling our emotions could make us more profitable, well, that is exemptional. Although we can say that emotions can ruin our plan, and can cause major losses, however, it also creates a positive impact as this could sometimes save us from losing more.

There is no need to become emotionless from trading, we are not robots but of course, never let our emotions control us and make decisions. We at least know what is right and what is wrong, and we do respond to the market with emotions but with deep thinking.
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still hunt for airdrops? on: March 02, 2023, 12:57:40 PM
Airdrop hunting is no longer lucrative and I'll consider it as a waste of time and effort. Secondly, there's a risk of loosing your information to the wrong person's as those information could serve as a tool for hacking or luring you to be hacked. I'll prefer to stay away from airdrops as they no longer worth the time, effort, and risk.
Season of earning massive profits via airdrop is gone and I don't think such an opportunity would unveil itself again, then most of the new projects distribute their tokens reaned via airdrops apart from tokens earned from bounty hunting once those  tokens got listed in exchange definitely there are reasonable and valuable rewards for the holders, but now 99% of airdrops is worthless and waste of time as matter of fact some developers require some ETH in exchange for airdrop token, personally I had diverted my attention to other ventures.
It was never found reasonable to join airdrops at this time. I'd see huge changes happen compared to 5 years ago when most of us are getting crazy participating in them but for now, they are rejected knowing the fact that they are scams. Might some airdrops be true to their promise, yes they give tokens to the participants but too unfortunately still can sell them as they are not yet listed on any exchanges. Still useless and indeed a waste of time.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 02, 2023, 10:40:42 AM
They need to play with high consistency, as the competition in the West is getting tighter now that Durant and Irving are playing for their respective teams. As of now, they are ranked number 12 but still very close to rank 4, so every game matters for a team that doesn't have a secure ranking.
Quote
And of course, no player can get any injury, especially LeBron or AD
I'm more concern on AD.
Exactly, that's the word, consistency!

I believe all the Lakers players will do anything to win, but the trick is that, as they are playing as much as they can, there could be a possibility that some player will be injured.
Darvin Ham will have to carry out a great administration and manage to rotate the players, so that they are not overloaded.

Well, in my humble opinion I believe the Lakers will reach the playoffs in this season, maybe get a 7 seed or 8 seed.

It was a great start for the Lakers winning without Davis and LeBron. Schroder led the team in scoring with 26 points, and I believe this guy really deserves a good contract as he is a true definition of consistency. Although OKC is not a top team, they are still a good team. That's why I said it was a big win for the Lakers.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 02, 2023, 08:57:06 AM
Boxing now is business, and so there is the ego of most boxers as well, it's a combat sports so what do you expect for this fighters? Specially in an era wherein we are in the social media and so boxers like Ryan loves to express themselves out and let everyone know through their official social media accounts.

But what's important is that they have hurdled everything including the rematch clause.

So yes, let's see if Ryan can have that rematch or Davis winning the first fight is enough for the fans not to clamor a second fight.
Yeah, they saw how effective the exhibition matches are when it comes to pulling more viewers, and now they are using the same strategy by keeping all the details first and letting it explode somewhere near the match will happen. More dramas first, two boxers fighting in social media before they use their fist in the ring. It's just like marinating the meat first. Somehow, it's working. They obviously want the fans to be involved first before they make the decision to let the news out.
Anyway, I am still on Tank Davis' side here and I sure will bet for him.

As far as I know though, this has been in the making for many years, 2 years ago, Ryan shows in Mike Tyson podcast and they call out Tank Davis and I think this is the start of the war of words between this two so the point that Ryan took this as a personal crusade for him.

And when we thought that this fight is not going to happen because of Davis case and the rematch clause and what not, unless Ryan has settled it everything even though is he is the short end of the bargaining of the rematch.

The good thing is that it's going to happen this year. Forget about the past and thanks to Ryan Garcia's constant challenge to Tank Davis, he finally has a chance to fight him. He should not worry about whatever rematch clause is in the contract - what he needs to do now is work hard to ensure a win, and everything else will certainly follow.
1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 02, 2023, 08:22:49 AM
"Demolition Man" or "Lakay". Whatever you wanted to call him, but Danny Ildefonso is coming out of retirement, and will be playing on the Converge FiberXers as their 15th player: https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/danny-ildefonso-comes-out-of-retirement-suits-up-for-converge-a793-20230302?ref=home_featured_big

I mean, many are surprised with this move by Converge knowing he is already 46 years old, but it just shows that if a player whether old or young can still play, if possible give them an opportunity to play. Congrats to "Lakay".

I'm also surprised by this news because I thought he was already too old to come back and play for a team.

However, he looks fit and I don't want to conclude that he will not do well for the team. The fact that he's coming back makes me expect that the coaching staff will give him quality minutes so he can help the team on the court. I can't wait to see this - it's my first time seeing a PBA player who is already 46 years old and still active.
1040  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin be trusted? on: March 01, 2023, 12:57:43 PM
A friend of mine came to me and we were having a conversation and I was trying to introduce he to the forum, but he turns out that I was asked if I really trust and believe in bitcoin it will never crash like other cypto industry.

I want know if it will not crash and I need help to convince him about it that it will not crash because am a beginner and I haven't know much about bitcoin so I guess been here I will fine help to assist my friend to join the forum.
I don't think you should force them to join this forum to know all about bitcoin, I know your intentions are very good in this regard but it is not your obligation to insist that your beliefs are correct in this context. The thing that I think is the smartest in telling him you have to have a better life than those who reject bitcoin in him, I think they will come naturally and be interested in what you do in your process so that it reaches the point that person expects.
Speaking of context, everything will definitely have a crash, be it stocks, precious metals and others and as we can see bitcoin crashes several times and in the end it returns to its highest position and even makes the latest ATH in each of its cycles.
Perhaps, it was wrong to urge someone to learn about Bitcoin but rather wait until such time comes for their interest. Besides, it was hard to educate a person who already has been negative about Bitcoin and much harder to convince to trust Bitcoin if they already suffered losses or got scammed. This is the reason why I don't talk about Bitcoin to any of my friends unless they will ask, unless they have curiosity and are willing to listen.
