1041  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading good for beginners? on: March 01, 2023, 12:28:32 PM
My question is can someone that doesn't have any knowledge about trading and how the system work can he or she trade and be profitable in it?
If beginner means he has no knowledge about trading, he does not know how to do chart analysis, he only knows that trading can earn profit then trading will never be profitable for this beginner traders. Yes it's also true that some times it can bring profit and it will not be long sustainable at the end of the day he will face loss with his entire fund.
I wanna also say that this kind of trading is gambling not the part of trading. So even if you wanna become a beginner trader, you must first acquire minimum knowledge of how to read candles otherwise it will never be good for you. And I think it is better to start trading without taking a big fund go with small fund for the beginning with also the knowledge.

A beginner luck might happened but along the way, without real knowledge with the business he will be out of luck and start losing his investment, beginners should start the right way by doing research and investing time to understand how the market works and what are the things that he needed to know before making his first attempt to trade.

It's important that you have the glimpse on how things may proceed and you know how to work your way to succeed.
Well, in the first place, we don't have to rely on luck but rather rely on our capabilities. Having knowledge of something we have to do is simply the ticket to where we want to go (success).
As a newbie to trading, we can expect tragic losses and disappointments and that is because we don't have experience but have no knowledge at least knowing the basics is somewhat terrible. And we can expect the worse possible scenario. That is why I encourage newbies to never underestimate trading instead, make themselves prepared before trading.
1042  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The best time to buy bitcoin. on: February 28, 2023, 09:40:03 PM
But buying bitcoin at too high a price will not bring great profit, and your holding period will last longer than others. I think the perfect time to buy bitcoin is when we're in bear season, such as now is a great time to buy bitcoin, as long as the price is still below the old ATH, then it is always time to buy it. But when entering the bull season and bitcoin surpasses the old ATH, it is not a good idea to buy bitcoin, wait for bitcoin to correct for a good price.
And regrettably that is the moment when many newbies decide to invest as they are victims of FOMO, they take a look at the profits other investors are making and they want the same for themselves, but they forget that those that obtain the most benefits out of bitcoin are the ones that are willing to take a risk and invest when bitcoin is going down and near its bottom, and when those newbies invest in the market it is too late and instead of getting the profits they were looking for they will lose money as it is way more likely for the price of bitcoin to begin to go down at that point.
Well, the truth is that not all investors who bought at a cheap price make money. Why? Because they also sell them when crises come and dump their Bitcoin because they are worried that it will collapse. Indeed, most of these new investors had come having no idea about crypto and about the risk they had to face entering the market because what they only had in their mind is earning a profit easily and quickly. Unfortunately, when the hard time comes they got panic and make the wrong decision.
1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: February 28, 2023, 11:18:48 AM
I can use AI to write articles, generate emails, make social posts and copies, and even double-check those since AI is not always right. How could I put my money at risk based on a decision made only by AI? Doesn't really sound wise to me for now.
ChatGPT cannot provide the latest information; hence, it cannot be used to predict present sporting events. You cannot get information from this AI. Instead, make your own analysis to predict the outcome of sports events. That's how normal sports bettors do it. There are no shortcuts to winning in sports, just hard work and dedication, and of course, being smart.
Making your own analysis to make choices in sports betting will be better than using AI for now. But I think with the development of AI by developers, someday AI will evolve into a better form than now. We may not be able to depend on AI to find information about each match and choose a team to place the bet. I am curious about what this AI technology will be like in the future because it seems that it will be interesting to see later, especially if applied in everyday human life and helping our activities.
I don't expect there to be an AI that can predict the future or the outcome of a game, as their knowledge is only based on past information stored in the web. They don't have emotions, which are very vital in predicting the outcome of a game.

I understand that some people want to win consistently, but there is no AI that can provide that. We have to be realistic and understand this.
1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 28, 2023, 09:57:45 AM
Status wise I agree with you Donaire had proven himself and may probably consider as one of the legend that dominates the Bantamweight and below weight class.  But, age matters considering the same punching power and skill is involved.  If Santiago isn't as skill as Donaire then I can say Donaire has better chance of winning.

Age matters right but as I said, in Donaire's 39 years old he has impressive fight. He's 40 years right now and I don't see any difference that will change from 39 years to 40 years old. He will surely performed the same when he was 39 years old.

Not saying Santiago is really the super underdog but I don't see how he will against Donaire which is still good at his age.

If we talked about Donaire vs Moloney instead, I might see a possible win for Moloney even I will side to Donaire.

That's why this fight gives Donaire a great opportunity to become a champion again. He is up against an underdog, so most likely he will win and the media will again talk about his name. I'm predicting a KO win, as that kind of outcome gives the highest percentage of success for Donaire.
1045  Economy / Speculation / Re: If history repeats itself: 2023 vs 2019 on: February 27, 2023, 09:40:17 PM
snip~
Probably not the exact same scenario but almost the same price trend, this has been the situation on many market like stocks and forex so I believe its also possible to see in cryptomarket the same picture even if its on a different level or different volatility. The demand and supply will always affect the market trend, the adoptions will also play a big role as cryptomarket is still not accepted by many while the economic growth also matter as we are about to rise from the pandemic downfall.
Everything could possibly change and all the said factors could trigger the market to look not the same. Maybe for some events, it looks the same but the entire year's performance could be really far different from what we have experienced in the past. And even thinking of $100k in the next ATH might not happen because a huge number of investors now are not having the same mindset as before. Well, that adoption is really a big contributor to the market changes.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 27, 2023, 10:44:48 AM

Golden State Warriors - Minnesota Timberwolves - Minnesota Timberwolves @ 2.12 - Loss
- I underestimated the Warriors on this one that's why I lost. Cheesy

That's a bad decision. You cannot underestimate the Warriors, even without Curry, as long as they are playing at home. They have a very impressive home record, and that's the venue where Thompson's shooting is very efficient. The game was close overall, but the Warriors managed to win and cover the betting spread.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 27, 2023, 10:15:16 AM
So let's see if James can pull this one out again in history for him.

A big achievement this season for the Los Angeles Lakers is being made with that comeback win. According to the current season record, teams are 0-138 this season when trailing by 27+ points. Not just because of Lebron but Anthony Davis and their best role players and teammates do a great job.

However, that achievement will surely much make sense to celebrate if they will keep establishing more wins as they badly need it to even make it to the play-in tournament which is for now, still need a tough work to make it happened.

Well, it seems that the Lakers carved its name again into the history books and proved that their team can still be worth the trust even if it's already down by 27 points. That gap was really hard to comeback especially in this case that the gap ballooned that much in the 2nd half, it was sure hard for the Lakers but they still managed to do so. It was a team effort after all and not just LeBron James alone, now they're on their 3rd winning streak but the next five games will be much tougher for them.

That's a good sign that the Lakers have improved after that trade. They beat a good team, the Dallas Mavericks, so there's no reason they can't win against other tough teams. They are sharing the ball well, and LeBron does not have to carry his team; he just has to play his normal game. There's not much pressure on him, but they still win games because they follow the system.
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 24, 2023, 11:57:16 AM

By the way, the spread before the game was -7.5, so looking at the game now, it will easily be covered.

It's good if you took that spread because the Philippines is leading by 12 points after the first half. The current betting spread for the Philippines is now -13.5, while the over/under is 178.5, which is way above the total before the game. I would like to wish you good luck on your bet, and I hope the Philippines will continue their good shooting in the second half.

Malonzo had 2 dunks that will be highlights of this game. He is very confident, and even though he only had good 3-point shooting in this game, it was actually the dunks that will be the highlights. I love how the Philippines played here; they shared the ball well, so I hope they continue that great chemistry when they go up against Jordan.
1049  Economy / Speculation / Re: If history repeats itself: 2023 vs 2019 on: February 24, 2023, 04:45:45 AM
History repeats itself. Perhaps I was going to believe that but the things are difficult from a volatile market as it never have the path to where it going making us to think that this year is similar to 2019.

For some reason;
 - demand
 - adoptions
 - economic growth

These are the contributing factor that could affect the price movement of Bitcoin and to expect the same scenario is impossible, unless everythig was controlled by whales or someone that is capable of.
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BNB now? on: February 23, 2023, 09:41:04 PM
Hi guys, Is it too late now to buy BNB? Or can we expect huge price drop in this year?
Not exactly that we are late for investing BNB since we are still in the correction phase. You can actually buy them if you want, that was your decision because I tell you that, I was also buying too. I did what seems best for me because I have the trust that BNB will be moving high when the bull season comes, so before it happens, I already fill my bag with potential coins to make everything ready. While it was still cheap, we never had to miss the chance. Might the price will dump but it doesn't matter as long as we are holding and waiting for the bull season.
1051  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time to buy or sell? on: February 23, 2023, 01:34:07 PM
...
There are some traders that are very good at analysing the market and knowing the next move the market may want to go.
...

And they are still statistically right or mistaken. I never see any trader who can predict market moves even close to 90%, most have prediction accuracy much lower. We all know that some of trade foretellers are jokingly called as counter-indicators as their predictions are more often wrong. If anyone knows market good enough we'll hardly know about that because such person will try to protect his privacy as it only possible.
They can just predict what might happen next but it was too different when it comes to reality, that really be joking. Because no matter how long we spend on the market, check and monitor the price trend but won't guarantee that we can exactly predict what gonna happen next. Well, that 90% right is certainly wrong but 50% can possibly be right. We have 50/50 chances, whether we are right or wrong.
It is not necessary to know when exactly to buy and to sell, something we need our instinct help to decide.
1052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 23, 2023, 09:17:18 AM

I went for NLEX on this one both ML and spread.

Yes, they are only 1 win with Selden as their import, but that win is against the Converge who is considered at the top right now. For me, that win might give momentum for the whole team. I watched that game, and I saw how Selden adjusted, and now he is playing well defending the paint and had blocks. I'm pretty sure that he will do it again this time. Different bets for both of us, but lets just enjoy watching the game later. Smiley

It's hard to trust Bolts' import, as he is very inconsistent and cannot dominate in the paint. I believe this will be an even match-up, but when we compare the imports, I think NLEX has the edge here. However, with Alas and Newsome on the other side, it's going to be a great battle, so let's enjoy it. As for me, I think I will wait for the live game and bet on a team that is down so I can get odds of at least 3.00.

The Bolts are enjoying a big lead now, and they will likely win the first half. However, the second half will be crucial, as we've seen in previous games how good NLEX is in the second half. It's a must-win game for the Bolts, as they are currently on a losing streak. They have to work hard, especially their import, who has been struggling in their previous games. As of this writing, McDaniels has only scored 4 points.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 23, 2023, 06:26:23 AM
Santiago since his draw with Jerwin Ancajas had an 11-1-7 KOs record. His lone defeat was the controversial majority decision of Gary Antonio Russell. He might be underestimated here but he is really capable of beating Donaire by decision.

Right, but we all know, but Donaire will be deliberate in this fight and won't take Santiago lightly as his career is on the line. And because he will be motivated to really win that belt again. I'm looking for his left hook again to finish the fight.

Donaire is fortunate to have Santiago as his opponent in a title match; he's not a very tough opponent, so everyone is expecting Donaire to win and get a belt in his division again. Not having to fight Inoue is a big relief for any contender, so they can now compete on a more level playing field. I'm not saying Donaire will win easily, but at least this opponent is not ranked amongst the best in this division.
1054  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I invest my 60% savings in Bitcoin? on: February 22, 2023, 09:50:26 PM
bitcoin can Crashed again Below $20K Level or Not ?
how much Probability for Down ?

suggest please I can bear some Loss but Can,t afford 100% loss

waiting for all expert members suggestion?

after 3 weeks , have you completely decided mate? if not then you missed the chance to earn 16% as of today?

well if not then sorry for you are there is a little trust from your side to Bitcoin , if that is how you look at this market then best to invest in altcoin instead so you will face defeat because of no assurance and security .
If we already have doubts in our mind before investing, I don't think it was good to continue and urge ourselves to do that because I have the feeling that it never works and could probably be ended up losing them all. It was best for OP to just relax and wait for the moment that he fully understands crypto and when he is fully ready to invest without single negativity in his mind otherwise investing in crypto is not for him. Because the truth is that it was hard to get assurance when we are not fully ready to take risks.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🐞 Why Dogecoin still Not hit $1, and how? 🕸 on: February 22, 2023, 09:32:34 PM
Because it is certainly impossible for a meme coin with a huge market supply. Does Dogecoin is really valuable that we think is worth that? No, Dogecoin doesn't deserve it, not only because it is a meme coin but also because it was not useful in the market like BTC and ETH. Besides, it only becomes popular because of Elon Musk which it drags people to invest and make it hype for a very short period of time. And look at it now, it is only $0.08 and even reaching $0.1 is quite not easy.
1056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 22, 2023, 10:26:04 AM

Funny to say, but I see lots of shared old school all-star games where we can see real competition, as players took pride and aim not
just to entertain the fans but to prove that they can play better than their opponent.
Looking to see that NBA will find new ways to offer to attract more viewers.
I witnessed the past All-Star games and I can really tell the big difference. The old format was much more entertaining compared to the new style. While we can't blame the fact that players now are good at making three-point shots, it's probably the organizers' fault for not ensuring a more competitive All-Star game. Hopefully, things will change next year now that they have heard people's complaints.
1057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 22, 2023, 09:17:38 AM
Russ and PG has work together in OKC, and so we already know if they can blend or not. And so it's hard to see how the Clippers are going to utilized WB to be honest, they already had offensive powers like Kahwi and PG and so the perfect fit will be for Russ will be where he is known off, assists department.
Yes, Westbrook and PG have already played together before, and they had a good run as they always qualified for the playoffs. It's just sad that PG did not stay with the OKC. Now with the Clippers, if we look at their lineup, we can tell that they are a team full of firepower. However, just like other teams where we expected them to dominate, we cannot be too confident here. We just have to wait and see if they can develop the necessary chemistry to win.

Probably he can give some quality minutes on the floor and he will be given more chance let's say closing a game because he has that experience. But we don't what him to be the closer like shooting from the outside as it might be painful to watch.  Smiley
Getting quality minutes from Westbrook is easy, but given that he is a former MVP, I think starting him is necessary.
1058  Other / Archival / Re: What is the easiest way to explain bitcoin to a regular person? on: February 21, 2023, 10:27:28 PM
I will you that it was not easy to educate people about crypto or about Bitcoin. For so many people I've talked about this in my place and even my friends don't believe it, they still think it a scam think and this is possible because of the influence of social media and news that many people got scammed by.

Well, I think...the easiest way to explain them is to show what you have achieved in investing or trading Bitcoin. Because people will believe us when they saw that we had improve, they are very certain of our status than of what we talk about.
1059  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin hold, sell or trade?? on: February 21, 2023, 09:52:07 PM
If you want to trade altcoins, then you need to choose a few tokens that are more interesting to you, follow them, analyze how often they have pumps and how significant they are. After that, when you make sure that there is good activity in the altcoin, you can start trading. But it is worth trading only for some part of your deposit, you need to remember the risks.
Well, we can say that choosing potential coins for trade or to invest in the long-term is a big factor but it never works without a proper strategy. It is needed need to spend the market and analyzed the trend because we can't just buy, hold and sell but also we have to do more research and chart review for this will give us some ideas if this is the right time to buy this coin or not. We can't just assume anything in the market and that is why we should not to rush investing but must undergo some TA.
1060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 21, 2023, 09:35:24 AM
This is a good thing that another opponent is already considered for Donaire. It was unfortunate that his match against Moloney was cancelled. But I hope the schedule for this new match would mean that his initial preparations against Moloney won't go to waste. So it should be soon, not too far from the date set for the Moloney match.
People changed their view on the chances of Donaire winning when he was matched with Moloney, the majority thinks that Donaire will lose, but with this new opponent, they think Donaire will easily win, so it's like probably a downgrade of the opponent, but it's better than nothing and at least this is a championship fight.

Quote
There might still be changes in the training and strategies prepared because of the change of opponent but at least Donaire has already started getting into shape and there's still enough time left. He's got an easier opponent now.
That's for sure, but there's still plenty of time to prepare, so I'm sure Donaire's camp won't be having a problem with that.
